Chapter 119 - Halloween Party

Luna lazily sat on the couch inside the bedroom. It's been two days since she returned home and only visited her family this morning. Clearly, they worried about her. But she calms them down by saying that it's not intentional and nothing serious at all.

Of course, she's lying but for the sake that her parents will not make a fuss about it. And in these two days too she doesn't receive a call from Raymond at all. Maybe he was busy and she believes that Mr. Carson did update her condition directly to him.

Knowing how meticulous person he is, probably he had put an eye on her inside this house. Luna skips the channel on the television while eating her chips he took from the kitchen cabinet.

After a moment, she found nothing interesting on the screen. She then turned off and took her phone after. Scrolling on her social media account and her finger stop at the picture of someone she knows.

But, since when did she follow that man's account? She tilts her head a bit and falls her body down to lay on the soft couch cushion. The picture is uploaded three minutes ago.

Luna look at the clock. It's already at 9 p.m. She then averts her eyes to the picture again. It is a picture of Raymond and Sarah in the open terrace restaurant. The view is fantastic and their dress-up looks like they were on the date.

'Such a nice picture! ' Luna complimenting the one who takes this photo. They look like they were advertising ads with her candid smile curve on her face while Raymond smiling drinking a wine when the photo was taken.

Both look happy and in a good mood. Luna sighs. She then rolls her finger on the screen again to see the comments below the picture. Just like she thought, there are thousands of comments complimenting their perfection.

'So many fans.' She also secretly commenting inwardly. Somehow, she feels abandon when he didn't call her at all and were happy with his lover right now.

'Argh…why do I have those feeling though? Come on. I know from the very beginning, there's no way he likes me. Even he may be 'nice' to me, it just a reflex of his action. Not a real thing, Luna! Get your shit together, girl.' She keeps encouraging herself to not feeling upset.

Put down the phone, she went to bed and sleep. Tomorrow Shanti will return back to the town, so she planned on going to the Halloween party with her at Nick's house. But, first. She needs a Halloween costume.

Shanti is her kindergarten friend until she went to high school, she was busy with club and activities and less time to hang out with her and Carla, but still. She is in her closest friend list.

"Lady Luna, are you going somewhere today?" Mr. Carson who just help the maid to prepare her breakfast stop her pace at the entrance foyer.

Turning around, she smiles at the man. "Uh, yeah. I wanna go hang out with my friend. She just returns to the town and I feel like I need time... alone?" She squinted her eyes, hoping that Mr. Carson would understand her feelings.

Mr. Carson sighs. "Eat your breakfast first and you may go after that." He gestures her to go to the dining hall first.

Not wanting to argue with him, Luna then walks to the dining hall. Eating her breakfast and drink her tea before she takes her sling bag and running out of the mansion.

"Return back before 10, Lady Luna!" Mr. Carson said when she reached the entrance door. Hoping that girl listen to what he just told her. If he's not wrong, Raymond will be home around that time today.

He must be furious if he knows that Luna is not home by the time he got home. 'Oh, Luna..don't cause any more trouble, please.'

At downtown.

"Babe!" Shanti wave her hand toward the girl who wears a wine color long sleeve shirt with ripped jeans. Her hair seems to grow longer than the last time she had a pixy haircut and she also looks more beautiful than before. Like she's maturing a bit.

"Shanti! How are you doing?" Luna hugs the girl tightly. She is so missing her. The last time they see each other is on a graduation day and only keep in touch through the text.

"I'm fine! What about you? You seem to change a lot. You look more.." Her eyes look at Luna's body before he says, "More fuller and fit. Did you hit the gym?"

Luna laughs. 'Uh, not a gym Shanti. I went into a tough training. But none of it working with me.' Of course, she could only say that in her heart.

"You just exaggerating. Come on. We have to find a costume first." Luna wrapped her one hand on Shanti's waist.

Shanti smile and nod her head. "Yeah, by the way, are okay with partying and mingle with our ex-classmate? He did mention to bring you along. But I don't know you would agree to it. It surprises me."

"Hmm...I just need a little distraction." Luna smile at her, hoping it would not reveal her gloomy face. She thought she was okay after seeing that picture, but it's clearly not and she needs a little distraction to bring her back to reality.

This is not a fairy tales love story where it always has a happy ending. She has long known her marriage will come to an end when Raymond recover one day. Even before he recovers, he already warned her about the true fact.

"You know he had a thing to you, aren't you? So is this you who want to end your single and virgin life now?" Shanti giggling which Luna just watches her with a blank expression.

"Wait! No way!" Shanti mouth gape wide open. She couldn't believe what she saw now. There's no way!

"Who? Who that lucky guy?!" She almost shriek and Luna immediately cover her mouth from talking more than that. Feeling embarrassed right now.

"Shh!!" Luna gestures her hand to make her silent. "I'll tell you later. But not now okay?"

Feeling excited, Shanti still pestering her about the guy who manages to 'plucked' her, a 'sacred flower'. In her thought, that guy must have something that makes Luna fall for him. If not, Luna will not easily fall for anyone.

Its been thirty minutes since Shanti keep asking her while choosing a costume. Somehow, it makes her feels like she wants to shove her mouth with the dress in her hands.

But of course, she wouldn't do it. She loves her as a friend. Sighing, she finally turns around and says.

"He is a man whom I love. But it impossible to tell you his name."

"Aww..why?"

"I just can't." She shrugged her shoulder.

"Then..did he love you too?"

Luna turned silent. Not know how to answer her. After some time, she smiles and says "He (Ray and the 'day' Raymond) loves me. But we have some circumstance which I can hate him (the 'night' Raymond) and vice versa for him at a certain point. So right now..let's say, I'm at the 'hate' stage."

Shanti blinks her eyes a few times. "Oh…I get it." She nodded her head. "I also sometimes had that hatred toward my boyfriend. Man don't always understand us, girl. But isn't it better if you go and talk to him?"

Luna chuckles. "I will. But not tonight." clearly understand that Shanti totally got her wrong. But that's okay. She doesn't intend to tell her yet about her relationship with Raymond.
