Chapter 146 - Play Pretend

"Ouch!" Ramona stumbles on a branch lying on the track while jogs and she scraped her knees a bit.

"You okay, Mona?" Liam stops his pace and walks to her. The trails are a bit sloppy as there are many leaves and branches on the grounds. They have to be careful when they're jogs.

Nodded her head, she says, "Yeah. Just a little scratch. I'll see Dr. Fang after this." She replies and ignores the man. She's not inviting him to jog with her, but he insists on going for a morning run together.

Different from Raymond, Ramona is a bit cold toward both of her brothers, she was a true copy of Barbara.

Liam did not say anything else as he follows her back running on the trails. When they returned back to the mansion, she was going straight to the next building beside the mansion and leave him to return home alone.

Sarah didn't see any nurses in the front space and she decides to go to the treatment room to find the first aid kit box. While she rummaging the cupboard, she suddenly saw a computer that was on with a screening result on it.

It is a brain screening and she squinted her eyes a bit, she looks at the picture for a few minutes before she spots a nurse who was just passing by the treatment room. She immediately calls the nurse and asks about the screening pictures.

The nurse didn't know that Dr. Fang hides the information from any of Wayne's family about Raymond's condition, and it was somehow discovered by Ramona and since she's taking a medical course, of course, she knew about the diagnosis.

She then secretly transfer all the file into her pen drive and walk away from the building. When she's going upstairs, she saw Raymond was talking with Sarah and he looks kinda happy with his smile on his face.

Never that she thought, behind that smile, his brother is severely ill right now. And if she didn't do something, he might end up dead. She then slowly walk to both of them.

"Hi there." She looks at the couple with a grin on her face. "You look happy, did something good happen?"

Sarah pouts and says. "Raymond eat all of my strawberries. I told him if he gonna eat all of my strawberries, he has to marry me, but he refuses, and still eat my strawberries anyway."

Ramona chuckles and sits on the artificial grass. "Brother…it's not good to break a promise. You once promise her to marry her, didn't you?"

Raymond shakes his head. "No, no, no…I didn't"

Sighing, Sarah says while touch his hand a little, to calm him down. "It's okay..you can fulfill it later if you recovered."

Ramona's eyes suddenly lit up with hopes. She then agrees with Sarah and persuades him to quickly recovered. They talk a lot that day until Luna returns home.

"Babe.." Luna calls Raymond from the stairs. She was sure Raymond must be already awake at this time. She didn't tell him that she was out to town this morning as he was still asleep and look a bit tired.

No response from him, Luna climb up the staircase and saw the three-figure was talking at her terrace garden.

Well, it was her idea to design it that way and of course with Ray's permission and the cold Raymond also did not bother to her idea decorating the house to her liking.

She striding there and abruptly stops when she saw the three of them giggling and talking something that looks funny.

"Raym-"

Raymond turn around when he heard Luna's voice. Without waiting for any seconds, he stands up and runs to her. Hug her body tightly. "Darling!!"

Luna was shocked. The 'day' Raymond hasn't resurface for almost two months and now…he suddenly back? Luna hugs his body tightly.

"Dear….I miss you so much…why didn't you come out sooner?" She almost tears up.

Raymond did not say any word as he keeps indulging her scent and kiss on her hair. Indicating that he misses her too.

Sarah and Ramona's face turned dark when suddenly Raymond run away from them and hug that girl who just comes back from the town.

When Luna's eyes met with them, automatically they change their facial expression into a sweet innocent smile.

"Dear…are you okay? What did you do just now?" Luna pulls the hugs and looked at the man. Still worried actually. He is in his weakest condition. Everyone can take advantage of him right now.

Raymond nodded his head and pointing his finger to the two women who still in the terrace garden. "I-I talk to them. They're funny." He smiled.

Luna also faintly smiles. Well, to be honest, there's a bit of jealousy in her heart. But she needs to keep it in check and being a professional. Just like Ray said, she has to learn to accept his family and get along with them.

"Hmm..I'll be going to the kitchen. Do you want to follow me?" Luna softly asked.

Raymond shakes his head with a smile on his face. "I-I want to play with them.."

Luna frowned a bit. "Play?"

Bobbed his head, he says again. "Play pretend…as a husband and wife. I-I promise to marry Sarah.."

Luna's eyes turn wider. "What?" Clearly, she was surprised.

"Raymond…that's not-"

"Raymond...hurry up." Sarah waves her hand to him while giggling softly.

Raymond to turn to her and return the waving back at her before he turns to Luna again. "I'll be go-going now.." He kissed Luna's cheek and run to the woman in the terrace garden.

Luna wants to scold him but she thinks it's not right. He is a kid.. he doesn't know what he's doing and he is a 'special' kid. She can't just say no to him or he'll throw his tantrum again.

'It's okay, it just a pretend play..he wouldn't kiss just anybody. He wouldn't.' She keeps her heart calm and just when she was about to go back downstairs, she saw Sarah daringly kiss his cheek.

Fuming, she stormed to the terrace garden and pull Raymond's arm from Sarah. "Hey, don't kiss him as you like." She snarls at her.

Chuckles, Sarah looks at Raymond with her soft voice. "Honey….your wife angry at me." She pouts and then tilts her head a bit to which Raymond laughs and pulls his hand away from Luna.

"Raymond, that's enough playing. Now, follow me." Luna said with a serious tone and Raymond doesn't like it.

He starts to push Luna and sit down back on the floor. When she tried to pull his arm again, Ramona grabs her wrist.

"Don't you hear him? Did my brother doesn't have his freedom when he's in this state? Is this how you treat him?"

Luna gulped. Not wanting to bicker with her, Luna yanks her hand and leave the terrace garden.
