Chapter 149 - Do You Like Her?

In two weeks, Christmas pass by until the new year comes. Nothing odd happens during that time as Sarah keeps with her pretentious attitude and Ramona seems a bit composed without trying any trick to harm Luna. Maybe she knew now she's in Raymond mansion which is a disadvantage for her to make a move.

Luna continues her daily life by going to work and still being guarded by her bodyguard which always dresses up as a commoner in the town. Somehow, she already accustomed to it.

Everything seems okay, except, Sarah always sends gifts to the 'day' Raymond. It mostly consists of gadget and she sometimes will come and visit him for a day trip when she's not home. And it seems like the 'day' Raymond also enjoying her presence at home when she was out for work.

She did voice it out to Ray and the 'night' Raymond but the answer she gets is always the same. "She just wanna befriend. As long as she didn't do something that will harm you or the 'day' Raymond, she's an exception to come and go from the mansion."

It's only making Luna's relationship with the 'day' Raymond turned worse when one day Luna was off from work. She thought of having fun and play with him, but she keeps rejected by him as he overly 'engrossed' with his gadget. It literally makes her sad.

While laying on the soft and big sofa at the living hall, Luna look at the 'day' Raymond who focussed on his game. She then put down her book and sit up, facing him.

"Dear.." She calls him with her soft voice.

"Hm?" Raymond reply to her without even looking at her.

"Do you not love me anymore?" She asked. The jealousy in her heart has been thickened by how they treat her. Always soft on Sarah who obviously a pretending bitch.

Raymond snapped his head to her, "Dar-Darling..wh-why you asking that? Of course, I-I love you." His expression looks serious but only for a moment before he averts his eyes back to the game.

"What about Sarah? Do you like her?" Luna changes her question. She would like to hear what he thinks of Sarah.

Without any seconds thought Raymond nod his head to which Luna was a bit surprised. "So, you do like her..huh.."

Silent, he didn't reply to her as he busy playing the game. "Because she always gives you present?" she asked again and Raymond nod.

"You think she nice?" again, Raymond nod his head.

"If…you were given choices, between me and Sarah, who would you like to choose?" Luna asked carefully and Raymond turns his head to her.

Smiling, he lifts up the gadget in his hand and he was shocked when Luna suddenly stands up and leaves him in the hall without saying any word at all.

"D-darling?" he calls out Luna's name but she didn't reply to him and keep ignoring him.

"I-I am kidding.." He mumbles alone in the hall. Mr. Carson who stands at the corner of the hall could only shake his head. Not knowing what to say.

New York City.

"Father?" Ramona knocks on her father's office door. She thought of giving something to her father which may bring back their old life.

"Come in, Mona," James said with an authoritative voice from the inside of the room. He's now busy with the work when Victoria is away. Thus, his mood might be not too good.

Open the door, Ramona walks inside her father's spacious office with such a nice view from the floor to the ceiling glass window. She could see half of the city view and the lighting also good.

"What made you come here?" He asked formally without looking at her. His eyes were fixed on the stack paper in front of him right now. Scrutinizing each of the details before he signs it.

"Um, so, last Christmas I spend time in Raymond's house and guess what I've found?" She took a chair in front of James's desk.

"What?" He monotonously asked without bait an eye to her.

Ramona rolled her eyes. He such a boring person. What does her mother see in this man after all? If it was her, she definitely leaves him and finds someone who's much better.

She then took out a pen drive from her Luis Vuitton handbag and put it on her father's table. "This is Raymond's brain screening. He's dying right now."

Upon hearing what Ramona said, James stops his work and looks at the girl with creased on his face. "Are you sure?" he asked firmly.

Ramona nodded her head. "I asked the nurse, why his condition turned out worsening than before, and you know father, the answer I get will not make you happy at all."

James glare at her with a threatening gaze. Urging her to spit out what she knows. Sighing, Ramona rubs her forehead a little.

"He got knocked by his beloved wife and it right at his old injuries. Turning out, he also has other condition which is form in his brain blood vessel. For now, he's on med to subside the blood clot and the aneurysm but it won't hold long until he dies.."

James shut his eyes and clenched his jaw. He was so mad and try to not blow it up right now. Not in the office. He then inhaling for a bit before he opens his eyes back.

Taking the pen drive on the table, he then keeps it in his drawer. "I'll deal with this matter. And you..stay at school and don't cause trouble." He warned her.

Ramona nods her head and takes her handbag before she walks out of her father's office. She knows her father won't let her brother die just like that. Knowing who causing his son in pain, he'll surely make her pay the price.

'How dare she! Trying to kill Wayne's heir? We'll see who gonna die after this.' James tapping his finger on the table before he makes a call to his old friend in Minnesota.

He is a neurosurgeon in the number one hospital in the world. With his excellent record, he probably could save Raymond from his dying state right now.

Meanwhile at the downtown of the City,

"My dear Sarah, how're you doing?" Barbara happily hugs the girl. She was happy when she got a call from Sarah telling that she would like to meet her.

"I'm doing fine, aunt." She smiled and look at the evening dress Barbara wore today, "Oh, look at you~ You look super gorgeous." She complimenting the middle-aged lady in front of her and politely inviting her to sit.

"So, why did you suddenly call me? I was so surprised when I received your call today." she smiles and the waiter brings her a cup of Rooibos Tea which is one of her favorite.

That's why she likes Sarah, she always knows what she likes and prepared it even before she came. She is well-suited to be her daughter-in-law.

Sarah looks at her with glowing and excited faces, "I decide I want to get together back with Raymond."

Barbara almost spurts the tea she was just sipping, she immediately wipes her mouth with the napkin and looks at her with a surprised face. "Are you sure? I mean, you serious with your decision?"

"I'm serious, aunt. But, I don't know how.." Her voice turns sad and she lowered her head a bit.

Holding her hand, Barbara smile brightly at her. "Don't worry, sweetheart..aunt will help you. I'm so happy you finally not giving up on my son."
