Chapter 228 - Karma

On the yacht deck,

"Master Raymond." Max greets Raymond while glancing at the girl beside him. Luna, who aware of him, turns her face to the side, looking at the ocean sea.

"Max. When did you come here?" Raymond asked while looking at his mother - Barbara, and Sarah, who also there. They look a bit pleased with this guy.

"Yesterday night, Master Raymond. Madam Barbara call me to let me return to my position and attend on your-"

"No need. I don't need someone as trash like you, Max. You can stay at Sarah's side. I believe she'll like it very much. Right, Sarah?" Raymond smirked at her, and she opens her mouth.

"Raymond…that video is not true. Max is here, and you can ask him if I ever do-"

"Why would I need to ask him? He's not the only one, Sarah. There's a bunch of guys you fuck behind me for years." He interjects Sarah's word before he stares coldly at her. "And…I'm not interested in you at all. So, please, enjoy your party today, and don't ever show your face in front of me again."

"Raymond! Don't be rude." Barbara raises her voice, and Raymond still ignores his mother.

"She's not like what you said, and that bitch over there is much more worst than her! Why can't you see it?"

Luna scoffed, hearing those accusations. She then turned around to look at Barbara, "Me? Worst?" She's pointing her finger on her chest.

"Scuse me, old lady..I'm not that low as your favorite 'baboon.' I don't fuck around with many guys and go viral. Who knows what she might have, STDs for actively having intercourse with different men?" Luna glance at Sarah with a disgusted expression.

Sarah grits her teeth and raises her hand wants to slap Luna, and without notice it, Raymond was the first one who hits her first.

"Don't touch my 'future' wife." He said, and other guests on deck were all startled.

'Raymond hit Sarah??? Raymond. Hit. Sarah?? ' Even Luna blinks her eyes a few times looking at the man. She is still shocked. Well, what she's got more brutal than what Sarah receives right now on their first encounter, that means Raymond still had his 'night' behavior. Unruly and a bit like a beast. Probably natural genes from his father.

"Raymond….w-why?" Sarah whine, she held her face, which she guesses is already swollen a bit. Raymond never hit her. Not once since they very young until now, He always had a soft spot for her. Even when they decided to be friends years ago, Raymond never does something like 'hitting' her in front of people likes now.

He's cold and stony-head, yeah. That's his personality, but he is not someone who will hit a woman, especially when that woman means something to him. 'Ah... I get it... I mean nothing to him anymore, aren't I?'

"Raymond! How dare you hit Sarah? She's not like other women. She's from Rochester, you rascal son!" Barbara said while helping Sarah, which already cry on the floor.

"You know why...I told you to go away, and you still lingering here. Dare to hurt my fiancee, who do you think you are?"

Max looked at him before he averted his eyes to Luna. She tries to calm Raymond down by caressing his back.

"You, Max. You don't need to be my butler anymore. You both can get out of my sight once this party is over." Raymond averted his eyes to the guy and warned him with his eyes.

"Raymond, you have no right-"

"I agree with Raymond." Liam walks to them while carrying Micheal on his arm. He saw what happen since he was there playing with his son in the pool with Sabrina too. Well, most of their family is there.

"Liam, this is none of your business." Barbara still wants to defend them.

"Oh? Why I'm not? I'm the head of our family. My voice does matter, right? After all, Sarah is not from our family. She's here because Ramona invites her to her party today. Because Ramona is my half-sister, I respect her request. Another one is, I didn't remember Max is also our family. All of our butler, servant, and assistant was left behind the main mansion, as previous gathering procedure at each year. So, why would I have to tolerate him at this time?"

Barbara bit her lips. She hates him! She hates this guy that able to be the head of the family. When she wants to open her mouth, James suddenly voices out from behind the crowd.

"He's right, Barb…let Sarah and Max return back to New York after this party is over, okay? We can talk about this again after the party. Ramona will be sad if there is another argument that happens in our family." He walks and escorts Barbara back to their room, followed by Max.

Sarah also runs back to her room. Her face was still stung by Raymond's hit. And not only that, other guests saw them too. It is such an embarrassing moment for her.

After they have gone, Luna immediately took Raymond's hand and looked at his palm. "Does it hurt?" she asked.

Shakes his head, Raymond smile at her. "No. It doesn't hurt at all."

Liam also looks at them both. "Raymond, what you were just doing is harsh. Don't you care about what people will say to you?"

"Mm, I know. Let people say what they want. I don't care at all."

Sighing, Liam looks at Luna, "I think you need to advise him. It's not wise to hit women."

Luna also shrugged her shoulder. "He's much more vulgar with me. He once chocked me and kicked me from the bed. So, what Sarah gets now is nothing compared to me."

Liam was dumbfounded. Raymond also tilts his head a bit. "I did that to you??" Clearly, he was shocked, and there's a guilty feeling creep on his heart right now.

"Yeah, but it's in the past." Luna smile and both of the men did not smile at all.

"Um, anyway…let's not do something rough like that, okay, brother?" Liam pat on Raymond's shoulder in a bit hard so that he can remember to not treat Luna like that ever again. It was a piece of shocking information to hear, and yet, Luna still stays at his side.

When Liam's gone, Raymond was still looking at her. "I really did that to you?"

Now it reverses to Luna, who feel guilty looking at his face. He looks like he wants to cry. "It's in the past. I already forget it."

"Just to what extent did I do to you?" Raymond holds both of her shoulders. He is hoping that she would tell him the truth.

"Um.." She averted her eyes to the side. Not sure whether she should tell him or not.

"Please, Luna..tell me." Luna gulped with his request.

"Um…you make me got a high fever. You kicked me from the bed and made me sleep on the couch for months. You almost hit me with a vase. We had quite a fight, but then you change bit by bit. You learn to accept me, and you learn how to love me."

"The 'night' version of you is kinda nightmare for me in the past, but 'he' is also the reason why I love you so much. It's hard for me to get you, you know? I had to use so many approaches so that you can open up to me. And gradually, we love each other. It just that our luck is quite unfortunate since I'm nobody, and you are a 'beast-prince' that I could never reach."

"However, you still love me now. And I'm thankful because of that."

Raymond sighs long while slowly banging his head on the rail. "I'm sorry...I still don't have any memory from the past."

Luna softly laughs and holds his head from banging the rail. She then brings him to her embrace. She's kissing on his jawline.

"Well, I guess I did return the favor. Remember, I told you that I hit you with the wooden accessories and resulting you to have your instant karma." She chuckles, and Raymond also giggles a bit.

"Karma, huh?"

"Mm...Karma." Luna looks at him in the eyes before they both kissed again.

"Baby, I have a question," Raymond whispered.

"Hm?"

"Have your period end?"

Luna pinches on his side stomach a bit before she blushingly replies. "Yeah."

"Yes!!"
