Chapter 264 - You've Grown Up!

"Woof! Woof! Grr!" Hero looks straight at two of the rottweiler dog in front of him. He was growling while showing his sharp teeth to both of them, and they reply to him with the same action as him.

It happens after Luna gives him a bowl of his early dinner at the backyard. Somehow, the smell of his delicious dinner attracts two of this dog out of nowhere.

"Woof!" Hero barks again warn them to not come close to his food. However, the warning did nothing to scare them off. They step forward to provoke Hero's patience.

After a few minutes, they keep growling and grunting, suddenly there's a light sound of a whistle coming from out of nowhere. The hint of the whistle sound agitate the rottweiler dogs to bark and turn them to be more aggressive than before.

They start to shows their claws to Hero with their big paw and showing Hero their sharp fangs. Growling furiously, Hero did not hold back his desire to eat fresh meat. It's been so long since he last tastes the fresh-meat when he still in the forest.

After the attack from the two rottweiler dogs who smash his bowl, Hero did not intend to let them go. He starts to chase them to the field back at the mansion.

James was sitting under the gazebo while reading some business news in his tab with a glass of wine before he heard someone walking toward him.

Turning his head slightly to the left, he saw Raymond was walking to him and took a seat at the rattan chair on his right. "I'm gonna marry her by the next two weeks."

James stops sipping his wine and averts his eye to his son. "Don't you think it's too early?" He asked. He still had a doubt about this woman who had the same name as Raymond's previous wife. Not only that, but this woman also had the same face as hers too. Even if she looks a little different, but he still can see through it. No one can forget Luna Robert's beauty once they saw her.

He knows how much Raymond loves that woman back then. But, even with Sarah, Raymond's first love, took years before Barbara could finally persuade him to marry Sarah.

Now, this new woman who has the same name and almost looks the same as Raymond's previous wife entering into his son's life, less than a year, and he already can't wait to marry her? 

"I'm turning thirty-one this year. So, I don't think it's too 'early' for me." Raymond reply casually.

"No! I still need to know about her background. After you embarrassing us last time, you dare to bring up this matter again?"

Raymond scoffed before he chuckles a bit. Mocking his father's answer. "I'm not asking for your permission, dad...I only come here to inform you. Don't get me wrong. It just for the sake that you're my parents that I'm informing you. That's all."

"You.."

"Woof! Woof!" 

Both of them averted their eyes to the side when they heard the loud barking sound. It's a Hero who headed to the gazebo with his fur covered in blood.

James secretly smiles, thinking that the dog is injured. But the closer Hero comes to them, his smile suddenly died.

Hero then put down a lump of 'meat' from his mouth to James's foot before he went to Raymond, asking for a pat on his head.

Raymond did not feel disgusted at all and still petting on Hero's head before he looks back at the 'meat' Hero brought to his father. It looks exactly like a heart organ. Only, it's kinda small like an animal's organ.

He frowned a bit and looked back at Hero, which was already licking his paw. "Hero is that…"

"My dog's organ!" James shouts, and Raymond could see clearly how red his father's face right now. James was clenching his fist and trembling in anger. It is such a rare occasion to see his dad turned this angry.

James, who lost his composure, then kicked the bench and went inside of the house. Raymond flinches a bit, seeing how angry his dad is just because his dog dies.

What he really wants to know now is how and why Hero killed his father's dog? However, he knew Hero will not let his killing instinct out to any animal since he already trains Hero before they brought him back.

"Hero.."

Bang!

A sudden bang from the veranda makes Raymond immediately took Hero to duck on the ground.

"Get the f.u.c.k of your dog outta here! Let me kill it!" James shout and walk back to the gazebo, where Raymond and Hero were startled there.

"What the hell.." Raymond scoffed and standing up after instructing Hero to stay on the ground. He then looks at his dad, which is already pointing his rifle muzzle to his dog.

"Your dog kills mine, so I shall do the same."

"It just a dog, dad! Don't you also make me kill my own dog last time? What's the problem now when my dog kill yours?" Raymond also yelled at his father. 'This is insane! He actually dares threaten to kill my dog just because of a mere stupid dog of his??'

"Oh, you don't know just how much my dog cost me! It's a special breed, and I personally train them!"

Raymond chuckles. "You burst out just because of a mere dog. Are you sure your brain still functioning, dad? Do you need me to introduce you to one of my psychiatrists?"

"Oh my god! James!" Barbara runs to her husband. Trying to calm him down. "Why are you bringing out your firearm?"

"Back off!" He nudges Barbara, who touches his shoulder, and Barbara's tumbling on her heels before she falls on the gazebo's floor.

"Wow..you even dare to hurt your own wife, dad?" Raymond is still mocking his own father. He sure now that his father probably the one who's mentally ill.

Bang! James shot another bullet, and it almost hit Hero's tail. Hero, who sit obediently beside his owner's legs, suddenly raise up and growling while showing his sharp fangs which still stained with the blood from the precious James' dog.

"Grrrr…"

"Hmph! You dare to show me your fang?! You stupid little beast!" James then moves forward and provoke Hero with poking his rifle muzzle to Hero's head. Ready to shot the beast.

"Dad, I hate to say this..but, enough with taking something that I love from me. Or, I really have to use the same violence you use to torture me." Raymond said after pointing his gun on James's head.

"Stop it, you two!!" Barbara teary a bit while trying to stand up. Seeing how her son dares to threaten his husband and how insane her husband now..she can imagine the worst scenario for them to kill each other!

"Hah!! Hahahahaha…" James laughs through his heart content before he pulls back his rifle from poking the dog's head.

"You've grown up!" James pat on Raymond's shoulder before he went inside. Even though he still angry about the dog, guess he needs to hold it back now.

Raymond may not seem like the weak Raymond as before. He even dares to point his gun to his father's head just only for his dog? He wonders to what extent that Raymond will do for his woman later.

Thinking about it makes his blood boiled. He needs to know about this woman's identity and relationship with the kid he's investigating right now. He was sure something is happening behind his knowledge. There's must be a connection between Raymond, that woman, and the boy named Alex.

The only problem right now is..the boy he's investigating under Lawrence security which he cannot interrupt into their matter recklessly.

Lawrence's household is not a family that he can afford to offend. Only if he can get help from the underworld organization could he beat out the Lawrence and get the boy under his possession.

For now, …he should think of a way to get the boy and find a vulnerable moment when Lawrence security is at their lowest. He is sure that this 'Luna' is not as simple as everyone thought.

Her existence is already intoxicated his son's mind and even dare to make him turn against his family!

'Just you wait, Raymond! I'll crush everything that you love and teach you how to be obedient to your parent!'
