Tabitha had returned not long after she began chasing Vexx. The man had clearly sustained serious injuries during their brief battle, if you could even call it that. Quite honestly, it was more like a contest of strength, and even so, it had caused mass devastation to the area.
No doubt she had failed to capture or kill the other Horde King, as she appeared quite vexed when she returned. And luckily for Zane he was around for her to bully and vent her frustrations upon.
"You little shit, you better start talking about how I ended up in that bastard's territory, or I swear to god I will make your life a living hell!"
Naturally, the last thing Zane wanted was to get on the bad side of the one Tier V Horde King who was not openly hostile to him. And was also perhaps the most powerful of them all. And because of this, he decided to be nothing but truthful with the woman, as she had an eerie way to tell when he was bullshitting her.
Or at least when she was in her more lucid state of mind. Because of that he was quick to take a deep breath, hoping she wouldn't pummel his ass after he told her the truth, something which would be hard for her to accept.
"This is going to sound strange at first, but hear me out... I know it will be hard to believe but it is the god's honest truth..."
Tabitha glared furiously at Zane as if his words had somehow managed to put her in an even foul mood. Never the less she responded in a way that seemed as if she was at least willing to hear him out.
"Alright... I'm listening...."
After this Zane explained everything that happened from the time he met the woman, to the time they reunited just now. It was definitely an unbelievable tale like Zane had claimed, and there was no way for him to really verify it.
But after thinking it through for a very long time, Tabitha honestly could not find a more reasonable explanation as to why she was nowhere in Beijing next to Zane without any semblance of memory or rationality to explain it.
Because of this, she took a deep breath and began to brainstorm on the whole thing. Trying in an act of clear futility to solve her current predicament.
"Let's say I believe you, and I wholeheartedly fucked myself when I performed the ritual. In doing so, I fractured my state of mind so that I have two personalities. One is crazed, incoherent, and obsessed with you for some reason, which you can't explain. And the other is my current self, who I always was prior to performing the ritual which, if you're telling the truth has backfired spectacularly on me.
Though Tabitha acted this way, Zane was sure that she had enjoyed the remark and because of this he had a smug smile as he did it again ultimately causing the woman to blush.
"Whatever you say big sis!"
Tabitha could only cross her arms and pout after hearing this. She really had one other option, which was to properly beat Zane's ass for teasing her in such a way. But frankly, that would be overkill considering the difference in strength between the two of them, and she wasn't a bully.
Because of this, she ultimately let the matter slide before dragging Zane by the neck making sure he followed her further into the city. As for the celestial beings who had watched the battle take place in the sky. They couldn't help but shake their heads.
The plan to draw out death and ambush her by making use of her son had failed spectacularly. Tabitha was in no danger to Zane, and had even protected him against Vexx. While she could be used as a valuable weapon in their ploys against Death, her relationship with the entity both by being one of her creations, and by being overly friendly with her son made using her as a proxy a difficult process.
Because of this, the Golden haired celestial entity could only scoff in distaste. She made one final comment before snapping her fingers and disappearing from Earth entirely.
"Well, this has been a giant cluster fuck of a day... I'm going home. If you want to continue watching after the boy then you're free to do so. But you're wasting your time!"
Once she was gone, the silver-haired man simply rolled his eyes. He too disappeared shortly thereafter in a fine purple mist. Going off to lands well beyond that of Earth, or even the material plane of existence itself.

Death knew immediately after the celestial entities which were trying to lure her out of hiding had vanished. If Elena and the others were around to see her smirk mischievously, they might have thought something was wrong. As Maya was always mute and expressionless.
But they were all busy performing their daily tasks. And because of that, Maya was alone, free to express her thoughts aloud, even if nobody in particular could hear them.
"Serves you brats right! You're a hundred thousand years too young to come looking for me! Go find your mother and have her personally come get me if you have the stones to do so! I will do anything to be with my little boy, even if it means taking that enormous cunt on 1v1! I dare you to try!"
Maya then broke out into a fit of childish laughter, which would be eerie if anyone had heard it. But because she was all alone, it went entirely unnoticed by the world. After which she went back to watching her favorite movie on the television. Which ironically enough was a zombie movie.
