Siegfried used his Rune of Insight to check the information of the Level 205 Adventurer.
[PyakPyak]
[Type: Adventurer]
[Level: 205]
[Affiliation: N/A]
[Position: N/A]
[Class: Arrow Buster]
[Arena Rank: Super Total Expert]
[Titles: Lord of the Battlefield: Martial, Quick Firing Master, Porcupine Maker.]
The Adventurer with the ID PyakPyak was an Arrow Master, so this meant that PyakPyak specialized in using the bow and arrow.
Siegfried could now see the Arena Rank of other Adventurers because his Rune of Insight was upgraded when he fought in the arena.
“Hello, I’m going to kill you because of a quest, so please don’t take it personally against me, all right? Just think of it like this: I gave you a two-day vacation off the game. No hard feelings, okay?” PyakPyak told Siegfried.
“Ah, all right. Then, please don’t take it personally, too. No hard feelings as well, okay?” Siegfried replied nonchalantly.
“Huh?” PyakPyak tilted his head in confusion.
“I mean, I could kill you as well,” Siegfried explained with a smile.
‘Is he crazy?’ PyakPyak was in disbelief. He had already checked that Siegfried was only Level 180, and there was a huge 25 level difference between them. Therefore, his chances of dying to Siegfried were zero.
“Wow… I have to say—I really admire your confidence. Are all Level 180 players as confident as you are these days?” asked PyakPyak.
“Yeah, Level 180 players these days can be quite scary.” Siegfried sneered.
However, Siegfried inwardly felt nervous about the upcoming fight.
‘Our difference in stats is huge…’
Level 200 was an important crossroad in BNW, and it was often said that a player’s true gaming experience would start from this level onward.
The reason was that a player would receive additional stat points for leveling up starting from Level 200. Therefore, the stats of a player twenty-five levels higher than someone else could differ significantly if the former was above Level 200.
On top of that, PyakPyak was not alone. The Adunyadet Kingdom hired a total of twenty Adventurers, and the nineteen others were all between Level 150 to Level 180.
“O-Owner punk… Don’t you think we’re fucked? Kyu…?” Hamchi muttered as he broke out into a cold sweat.
PyakPyak chimed in, “Your pet is pretty smart. I think that thing is better than its owner.”
He was trying to say ‘you can bluff all you want but nothing will change in the end’. It was simply impossible for Siegfried to defeat PyakPyak considering their difference in level and stats.
It could be said that PyakPyak was ninety-nine percent accurate.
“Hey, Hamchi. Can I ask you a favor?” Siegfried asked Hamchi without responding to PyakPyak.
“What favor?”
“I want you to clean up.”
“Kyu…?”
Hamchi tilted his head in confusion.
Shwing!
Siegfried suddenly hurled two disks into the air.
***
‘My chances are bleak…’
Siegfried knew very well that he stood no chance against these Adventurers.
The Adventurers that had been hired by the Adunyadet Kingdom had different classes, so Siegfried would die in the blink of an eye if he were to face them head-on. He also couldn’t isolate a one-on-one because the terrain wasn’t suitable for it.
‘I have no idea what will happen next, but I have to kill them all with a preemptive strike.’
Having made his decision, Siegfried chose to use Torrential Flower Rain as his solution.
Whoosh! Shwiiik!
When the disks were about to split into many projectiles, Siegfried quickly activated Splitting Heaven and Earth.
Kwang!
The ground trembled.
Whoosh!
And his enemies were thrown into the air…
‘Place my circle…’
Siegfried placed Blaze Field underneath his enemies to shred their resistance.
Shwaaaa!
It all ended when the flower rain of death came crashing down on the Adventurers.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
The corpses of his enemies and their items fell to the ground with dull thuds.
[Siegfried van Proa]
[HP: ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛]
[Mana: ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜]
Siegfried’s Mana was completely exhausted.
However, his plan was a huge success. He had perfectly chained his skills to launch a perfect preemptive strike, and he had managed to kill most of his enemies. However, the scariest enemy was still alive.
“What the hell…?” PyakPyak muttered in horror. He managed to roll to safety when the ground started trembling earlier, so he didn’t get captured by Siegfried’s combo. In disbelief, he stared at the ruins and the outcome of Siegfried’s combo.
The nineteen Adventurers that had been hired by the Adunyadet Kingdom were now lying on the ground as corpses. It was a horrible death as well; their bodies were torn to shreds, making them look like tattered rags.
They all died in just one combo. The skill combination was near flawless, and it managed to kill almost all of the Adventurers without giving them a chance to retaliate.
“A Level 180 can actually deal that much damage…?” PyakPyak muttered in disbelief.
PyakPyak had no time to compose himself as a huge front paw came flying toward his head.
***
‘Ah… He didn’t die… damn it…!’ Siegfried was shaken after seeing that PyakPyak was unscathed.
His main target was PyakPyak, but the main target somehow managed to escape.

[PyakPyak]
[HP: ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛]
[Mana: ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛]
PyakPyak had displayed outstanding instinct and control befitting of a Level 205 Super Total Expert by getting out of harm’s way the moment Siegfried had activated his skills.
He had proven that his combat sense was leagues above those of normal gamers.
“Hey, Hamchi. Go and buy me some time. I’m like this now,” Siegfried made a neck-slicing gesture with his thumb.
Torrential Flower Rain had completely exhausted his Mana, and his arsenal could be considered useless against PyakPyak without both Blaze Field and Splitting Heaven and Earth.
“Sigh… Owner punk is impotent! Impotent!” Hamchi exclaimed with a sigh.
“What the hell did you just say?!” Siegfried retorted.
“Hamchi will cover for you! Just go and recover from your post-nut clarity!”
The hamster turned Siegfried into a eunuch. Then, Hamchi squirmed and grew to the size of an elephant before charging toward PyakPyak.
“What kind of hamster is that big?!” PyakPyak shouted at the sight.
Gulp! Gulp! Gulp!
Siegfried was busy gulping expensive mana potions from his Inventory in the quest to replenish his Mana.
Unfortunately…
Shwiiiik!
Siegfried sensed something flying toward him, and he immediately turned to the side.
Puuk!
An arrow around forty centimeters in length lodged itself into the ground.
‘Where did that even come from?’ Siegfried felt a chill travel down his spine as he immediately turned toward Hamchi and PyakPyak.
“Replenishing your Mana is a no-no~” Surprisingly, PyakPyak still had the leeway to snipe Siegfried while fighting Hamchi.
Roll… Roll…!
PyakPyak even rolled away to create space between him and Hamchi before aiming his crossbow at Siegfried once again.
Shwiik! Shwiik! Shwiik!
He fired dozens of arrows in the proverbial blink of an eye.
***
PyakPyak wasn’t only fast; he was cunning as well.
‘He obviously went all-in and exhausted all his Mana. I have no idea what other tricks he has up his sleeve, so I should ignore his pet and focus him down first.’
He stuck to the golden PVP rule of dealing with the player before their pet.
In addition, he had a very good understanding of how his class worked. He took full advantage of his class as a ranged physical DPS and efficiently used his movement skills to create space between himself and Hamchi while sniping Siegfried.
He had also proven that he was a veteran player by making sure that every arrow was aimed properly at his target rather than haphazardly shooting arrows. He also dealt a significant amount of damage to Siegfried.
Puuuk!
An arrow dug into Siegfried’s right thigh.
‘Huh?’
Siegfried felt weightless all of a sudden.
Crash!
Siegfried lost his balance. He spun a few times before crashing to the ground. The arrow had pierced his defenses and pushed his leg back just as he was about to take another step.
“Stop bullying my owner punk! Kyuu!” Hamchi screamed. He chased after PyakPyak to save Siegfried.
However, PyakPyak’s movement was too good for the hamster.
Tak!
PyakPyak crouched and tripped Hamchi.
“Kyu…?” Hamchi lost his balance and fell to the ground.
To make matters worse, he landed on top of Siegfried of all places.
Thud!
“Argh!” Siegfried gasped in agony.
“Hey! You fucker! Get off me! You’re fucking heavy…!” Siegfried cursed.
“S-Sorry! Kyu!”
Siegfried and Hamchi ended up unintentionally filming Dumb and Dumber for a second.
“What are you guys doing…?” PyakPyak asked while shaking his head in disbelief. He could not help but find the chemistry between Siegfried and Hamchi to be quite comical while looking strong at the same time.
“Time to kill your pet, then,” PyakPyak aimed at Hamchi. The giant hamster was currently simply too big for PyakPyak to find an opening to kill Siegfried, so he decided to get rid of the hamster first.
Shwiik! Shwiik! Shwiik!
Hamchi ended up becoming Siegfried’s meat shield as dozens of arrows were lodged into Hamchi’s back.
“Your HP is quite big,” PyakPyak marveled at Hamchi’s Defense and HP.
He had already shot about a hundred arrows by now, and the giant hamster had turned into a porcupine long ago. Despite that, PyakPyak still couldn’t see any signs of Hamchi’s imminent death.
In fact, the giant hamster’s HP remained above fifty percent despite PyakPyak exhausting his magical quiver, which could contain a maximum of one hundred twenty arrows.
The giant hamster could no longer move after exhausting his stamina.
“Wow… I didn’t expect that I would end up using a quiver of arrows just to deal with a mere pet,” PyakPyak grumbled.
He was about to reload his magical quiver, but a black field suddenly manifested beneath his feet.
Wooong!
A shadow that resembled him rose from the ground and aimed its bow at him.
“W-What the hell is that…?” PyakPyak muttered in confusion.
The shadow’s arrow pierced PyakPyak’s stomach before he could compose himself.
Puuuk!
Fwaaa!
Then, a powerful blaze engulfed his body.
Roll!
Meanwhile, Hamchi rolled away and Siegfried got up from the ground. His face had turned red from the exertion of withstanding Hamchi’s weight the entire time.
“Good job, Hamchi. You did great,” he said.
It didn’t go as well as he had intended, but he managed to replenish a portion of his Mana because Hamchi defended him with his life on the line.
“That hurt a lot… Kyu…” Hamchi cried in agony. “Hamchi has turned into a porcupine…”
The giant hamster truly looked more like a giant porcupine right now with dozens of arrows stuck in its back.
“I’ll put some medicine on your wounds once we’re done,” Siegfried said. Then, he cracked his neck left and right. He flashed a sinister smile at PyakPyak and said, “Hey, come here! Wanna talk heart-to-heart?”
Siegfried gripped his hammer tightly and walked toward the Level 205 Adventurer.
