Chapter 306

“Here you go,” the knight said as he passed the C-rank Dimensional Energy Crystal and Dimensional Talisman to Siegfried.

“How do I use this?” Siegfried asked.

“Your Majesty just has to attach it to your equipment, and it will automatically increase your resistance to dimensional energy.”

“Oh?”

“The resistance you’ll obtain from every piece of equipment differs, but your upper armor will give the most resistance, so I suggest attaching it to that.”

“All right.”

Siegfried slotted the C-rank Dimensional Energy Crystal on his Quad-Turbo Mail. The C-rank Dimensional Energy Crystal melted into the armor.

[Alert: The stat Dimensional Resistance has been added to your Quad-Turbo Mail!]

[Alert: You have gained 25 Dimensional Resistance!]

[Alert: You have met the bare minimum resistance required!]

[Alert: You may now enter the C Rank dungeons in the Great Rift!]

Siegfried finally met the condition to enter the lowest-ranking dungeon in the Great Rift.

“Let’s go.”

“Kyu!”

Siegfried rushed Hamchi.

‘I’ll show you what’s really fast.’

There was no way he would let himself fall behind the descendant of Thunder God Vajra, and Siegfried was dead-set on overtaking Taycan with his honor as Deus’ disciple on the line.

“Looking for party members!”

“Any first-timers to the Great Rift?”

“C Rank dungeon! C Rank dungeon party here!”

Siegfried arrived at the entrance to the C-rank dungeon, and he approached a party of Adventurers that was about to enter the dungeon.

“Excuse me, is it alright if I join your party?” Siegfried asked.

“Huh? Aren’t you that guy?”

“Oh!”

“No problem!”

“It’s an honor to hunt with you!”

The Adventurers immediately recognized Siegfried and treated him like a VIP.

It was no longer that strange for people to act like this toward him, as he had become famous overnight after numerous videos of him fighting at the front lines during the Constantine Civil War were posted online.

“Thank you for letting me join your party. I will be in your care now. Shall we go now that the whole party is—” Siegfried’s sentence was cut short.

“Hey! Siegfried!” Taycan interrupted him. “You’re already here? Wow! That was fast!”

“...”

“I’m going to hunt in the C-rank dungeon, right? Do you want to come with me?”

“No?”

“Why do you keep on refusing me?”

“Because I don’t want to go with you?”

“Oh well, if you say so. See you later.”

“Where are you going?”

“I already told you, right? I’m going to the C-rank dungeon.”

“Alone?”

“Yeah! I like hunting alone better!” Taycan exclaimed in response.

“So you’re a solo-player?”

“Solo-what? What’s that?”

“Tsk... Forget about it; just go on your way,” Siegfried clicked his tongue.

“What about you? Are you hunting with them?” Taycan asked while pointing at the group of Adventurers.

“No?” Siegfried replied as he hurriedly pressed the Leave Party button.

“E-Excuse me...?”

“S-Siegfried-nim...?”

“Didn’t you want to party with us a while ago...?”

The party members were perplexed at the sudden change of heart.

“I’m really sorry, but some stuff came up, so let’s hunt together next time,” Siegfried politely said before he turned around and said, “Let’s go, Hamchi!”

“Kyu!”

He ran straight into the Great Rift.

‘Ha! Do you really think that I can’t solo-play? If you can do it, I can do it better. Bring it on!’

Siegfried had no plans of losing, even in the smallest things against Taycan.

He darted toward the relevant NPC like a bullet.

***

An interesting sight unfolded in front of the entrance to the Great Rift.

“Oh! He’s here!”

“Wow! Twenty-two minutes?!”

“Crazy!”

The spectators were in awe after seeing Siegfried clear the dungeon, but Siegfried paid them no attention as he ran as fast as he could to the relevant NPC as if he had gone mad.

Right after Siegfried made a run toward the NPC...

“Oh! He’s out, too!”

“That NPC is too fast!”

“He’s running! He’s running!”

As expected, Taycan cleared the dungeon and made a run for the NPC.

Boom!

Competition.

Siegfried and Taycan were in a competition to see who could clear the dungeon and reach the relevant NPC first.

“Hey! Slow down! What’s the rush?” Taycan shouted at Siegfried ahead of him.

“Rush? What rush? I’m going real slow right now~!” Siegfried brazenly replied.

“Liar!”

“What about you?! What’s the rush?! Do you have to take a shit?”

“No? This is my usual speed. I’m not running right now, see?” Taycan replied as brazenly as Siegfried did.

“Liar, liar, shit on fire!”

“What? What’s that supposed to mean?”

“I’m saying you’re a liar!”

“I’m not! I’ve always been this fast!”

“Ha! You’re not fooling me with your crap!”

“I’m really not running right now!”

The two bickered like kids until they simultaneously reached the relevant NPC.

Siegfried had cleared the dungeon first, but Taycan was so fast that the two of them practically reached the relevant NPC at the same time.

“Exchange these for me!”

“Exchange! Hurry up!”

The NPC shrieked in horror after seeing the two pop up in front of her. “H-Hiiik!”

However, neither Siegfried nor Taycan gave a damn as they urged the NPC.

“I came here first, so exchange mine first! Hurry!”

“No! I came here first! Exchange mine first!”

It seemed that the competition between the two was only going to end once either of them ran out of gas.

“It’s time for the raid to start...”

Chae Hyung-Seok waited for the Raid Dungeon. He had just warmed up by clearing a normal dungeon, so he decided to spend his time waiting for the dungeon to open.

The Raid Dungeon was a special dungeon where monsters above Level 400 would appear, and it wasn’t always available. The Raid Dungeon would appear whenever the space and time within the Great Rift were incredibly distorted. Unfortunately, it was impossible to predict the Raid Dungeon’s availability.

This was the reason Chae Hyung-Seok was forced to wait outside for the Raid Dungeon. He had to hunt in the Raid Dungeon as the remains of the monsters in it fetched at least one hundred million won and up to billions of won.

“I can pay that bastard off if I manage to clear one Raid Dungeon, and I can recover all of my losses at the same time...”

“Fuck off, Chae Hyung-Seok!”

“Get out of the way!”

Chae Hyung-Seok turned to find Siegfried and some NPC running toward him at incredible speeds.

“Han Tae-Sung...?” he muttered after seeing his archnemesis. His eyes turned cold, and his expression turned ugly as he growled, “You dare show up in front of me...”

He prepared for battle, thinking that Siegfried had come here to fight, but it turned out that he was just being delusional.

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

Siegfried and the NPC completely ignored him and jumped over him as if he were some kind of a hurdle.

“Hey, Chae Hyung-Seok!” Siegfried shouted.

“I’m busy right now, so I’ll play with you later! And pay me back! You know you only have a few days left, right? I’ll ask the emperor to slap red stickers[1] on your guild if you don’t pay me back soon!”

“What did you say?! A mere insect actually dares to threaten me—”

Unfortunately, Chae Hyung-Seok’s words fell on deaf ears because...

Flash!

Siegfried had already entered the Great Rift.
