Chapter 469
Whoosh!
Siegfried gave up on suplexing Metatron and twisted.
Puk! Puk! Puk!
Every single arrow missed Siegfried, hitting only Metatron. Siegfried had cleverly thought of using Metatron as a shield in just a split second.
“Ack! Ack! Aaaack!”
Metatron turned into a meat shield, blocking every single arrow for Siegfried.
Who would have thought a high-ranking noble demon like him would become a meatshield for a mere human?
‘T-This evil bastard! You’ve topped yourself in that short period of time?! Argh!’ Metatron was shocked by how vile a human could be even while being turned into a pin cushion by the arrows.
How could a human be so evil? Not only had he used someone—actually a demon—as a sandbag, but he also went as far as using him as a meat shield!
Metatron could confidently say that Siegfried was indeed the most evil creature he had ever met in his entire life!
Unfortunately for him, Siegfried couldn't care less...
Puuuk! Puuuk! Puuuk!
Siegfried used Metatron as a meat shield and safely rushed toward the arrows. Closing the distance against an enemy firing from range was the best thing anyone could do.
‘Now’s my chance!’ Siegfried thought as he threw away Metatron to the side and transformed his +13 Horse Fly into a shield.
Ting! Ting! Ting!
The arrows failed to penetrate and bounced off the +13 Horse Fly, allowing Siegfried to advance to the enemies shooting at him.
[Daedalus: Sharpshooter of Death]
[An undead archer found in the Daedalus Underground Great Labyrinth.]
[Any archer who dies in this dungeon will turn into a Sharpshooter of Death.]
[Type: Monster]
[Race: Undead]
[Class: Death Arrow]
[Level: 250]
[Note: This monster specializes in blending into the darkness and shooting at unsuspecting victims. One must be alert of their surroundings so that one will not fall victim to this monster.]
A group of Sharpshooters of Death was the ones firing at Siegfried—and Metatron.
Fwaaaa! Fwaaaah!
Siegfried placed Blaze Field right at the center of the Sharpshooters of Death, and he jumped into their midst.
“Kikiki!”
“Have you lost your way, living one?”
“Die!”
The Sharpshooters of Death drew their melee weapons and attacked Siegfried, but it was futile. There was no way an archer could win against a melee combat specialist like Siegfried.
‘I’ll fight without weapons this time,’ Siegfried thought and put his +13 Horse Fly in his inventory.
Bam! Pukeok! Pukeok!
Siegfried then attacked with a combination of the Bone Crusher Low-Kick, Bone Crusher Mid-Kick, and Bone Crusher High-Kick to smash the bones of the undead archers.
Kwachik!
He also used the Back Breaker to suplex a Sharpshooter of Death into the ground.
Siegfried was an exemplary student, practicing what he had learned from Leonid.
‘Oh my god! His learning speed is on par with the speed of light!’ Leonid was shocked at Siegfried’s ability to absorb his teachings and apply them immediately.
Leonid could have never imagined, even in his wildest dreams, that someone could learn the Grappling Master’s skills in just thirty minutes and immediately use those skills in combat.
The only word Leonid could find to describe Siegfried was genius.
‘I can tell why Shakiro hyung-nim and Betelgeuse-nim taught their secret techniques to him. Haha... Just who in the world is this guy’s master...?’ Leonid could not help but become curious about Siegfried’s master. Unbeknownst to Leonid, knowing more about Siegfried's master meant getting closer and closer to a tragedy.

Siegfried made quick work of the Sharpshooters of Death.
“Hey, Siegfried.”
“Yes?”
“Your talent has really surprised me.”
“Eh? Not at all. I am just quicker-witted than others,” Siegfried replied with a shrug. He did not buy Leonid’s praises one bit.
“Y-Yes...”
And that was how Siegfried turned the son of a demon lord into his slave.
***
The contract with Metatron was quite simple and occurred on top of a small magic circle.
“I, the Metatron, the son of the Demon Lord of Vengeance, Vernas, swear to become Siegfried van Proa’s s... s... sla... slave... and swear eternal... loyalty to him as my master...”
Then, a message popped up in front of Siegfried’s eyes.
[Alert: You have entered into a Demonic Contract!]
[Alert: Metatron is now your slave!]
[Alert: The demons place great importance on hierarchy.]
[Alert: Metatron’s subordinate, Chaos, has become your slave as well!]
Right after the contract ended...
“Mas...ter...” Metatron reluctantly got on the ground and paid respect to Siegfried as a slave would do to their master. Then, he greeted, “Your humble slave, Metatron, greets Master Siegfried...”
“Good.”
“I will do my best to fulfill whatever my master wishes.”
“I, Chaos, greet Master Siegfried, too. I swear to serve you alongside my lord, Metatron,” Chaos got down on the ground and paid his respects as well.
“Good... Good...” Siegfried muttered while nodding in satisfaction. Then, he smirked and said, “You two can take turns becoming my sandbags. Hmm... You already got hit a while ago, so it’s your turn now.”
He was pointing at Chaos.
“H-Hiiik!” Chaos shrieked in horror as the color drained from his face.
Unfortunately, Chaos could not escape his fate, as Metatron had to receive treatment and couldn't continue his role as a sandbag.
“Alright, let’s go, my new slaves!” Siegfried exclaimed and ventured onward.
***
Getting out from the Daedalus Underground Great Labyrinth was supposed to be a piece of cake for Siegfried, and that was all thanks to Inzaghi’s Compass, Inzaghi’s Map, and the map he had obtained from his slave, Metatron.
Unfortunately, this was not a dungeon he could leave so easily even with all three items in his possession.
“Huh? What’s wrong with this?” Siegfried grumbled after his items continued to make errors.
“Kyu? What’s wrong, owner punk?” Hamchi asked.
“The map keeps changing, look.”
“Kyu?”
“The Boss Room keeps shifting elsewhere. It was here a while ago, but it came here all of a sudden.”
It was indeed strange. The Boss Room would shift its location whenever Siegfried checked the map, and he could not predict where it was going to shift next. He was sure killing the boss was the way out of this dungeon as there was no exit on the map, but the problem was that the Boss Room kept changing its location.
“It’s not like we can go back to the entrance...” Siegfried checked the map and saw that the entrance had shifted its location too.
“Is it possible that...” Leonid muttered. Then, his face suddenly lit up as he exclaimed, “I got it! It was like that all along!”
“Huh? What do you mean by that?” Siegfried asked.
“Look here, Siegfried.”
“Yes?”
“That thing you call the boss or the ruler of this labyrinth is not staying in one place.”
“Hmm? The boss is not staying in place?”
There were three absolute facts in life that would never change: getting your prescription from your doctor, your medicine from your pharmacist, and the boss staying in the Boss Room.
Wasn't it a video game trope for the boss to stay in the Boss Room and wait for the brave warriors to challenge it?
“Yes, I’m guessing that even the ruler of this labyrinth is in the same situation as us.”
“By the same situation you mean...?”
“The ruler of this labyrinth is also a pitiful creature wandering these halls.”
“Eh?”
“So the legends were true.”
“The legend?”
“Haven’t you heard of the legend regarding this place?”
“No...?”
“Oh?” Leonid seemed surprised. Then, he proceeded to explain the legend of the dungeon, “Allow me to tell you the legend of this place, the Daedalus Underground Great Labyrinth.”
