Chapter 476

“Huh? What’s wrong, hyung-nim?” Seung-Gu asked.

“Just hold on a bit,” Siegfried replied. Then, he continued to rummage through his Inventory, “It’s not this... Ah, where did I put that? Hmm? Is it this? Nope... Ah! It’s this one!”

He pulled out something the size of a closet from his Inventory.

“A-Are you setting up shop right here, hyung-nim?!” Seung-Gu asked, bewildered, after recognizing the object.

“Yup, I sure am,” Siegfried replied. Then, he smirked and added, “I know we have things to do, but I have to sell the stuff I picked up first, right?”

He proceeded to install the object.

[Magical Vending Machine]

[Nobody can destroy or move this vending machine, and stealing from it is even more impossible.]

[Open Shop]

[Slot Upgrade ($)]

[Install Banner ($)]

[Hire Promoter ($)]

The Magical Vending Machine did just what one would expect from its name, which was to sell stuff automatically for the user.

“When did you buy that? Isn’t that really expensive?” Seung-Gu asked with a hint of surprise.

The Magical Vending Machine was indeed expensive. In fact, the reason Siegfried did not buy this before was solely due to its extremely expensive price tag. Each one of these would cost at least five hundred thousand gold, and most Adventurers would never be able to afford one of these.

There were some assumptions from the community that Beehive wanted to prevent the streets from being littered with these vending machines, so they set the price of each vending machine to be exorbitant.

Anyway, the sheer price tag of these vending machines made even Siegfried shudder at the mere thought of purchasing one even though he had become quite wealthy.

Then why did he have one?

Well, Emperor Stuttgart sent numerous gifts to Siegfried as a token of gratitude for saving him during the World Peace Conference, and one of the gifts was a few of these Magical Vending Machines.

“His Imperial Majesty gave it as a gift.”

“W-What?! The emperor?! Whoa!”

“Hold on,” Siegfried said after he set up the Magical Vending Machine. Then, he took out the items in his Inventory and shoved them all inside the vending machine.

[Alert: You have put up for sale the +11 Goldmoon Sword]

[Alert: Please set the selling price!]

[Alert: $ ]

Siegfried entered the selling price.

[Alert: You have successfully put up for sale the +11 Goldmoon Sword!]

The +11 Goldmoon Sword appeared in the vending machine with the price Siegfried had typed in. He proceeded to put up for sale the items he picked up one by one, and he soon put up the one hundredth item for sale.

[Alert: Not enough slots!]

[Alert: Please upgrade the slot to put up more items for sale!]

Siegfried ended up hitting the maximum capacity and was required to purchase the Slot Upgrade to register more items.

“Eh? Already? But I still have more stuff to sell...” Siegfried grumbled in disbelief. He probably had around ten thousand items to sell, but he did not have the time to sell them off.

In the end, he decided to invest some gold and expand the vending machine’s slot.

[Alert: You have upgraded slots by +1!]

[Alert: You have upgraded slots by +1!]

[Alert: You have upgraded slots by +1!]

He invested until the vending machine had one thousand additional slots, and he typed in the price of each item until he registered one thousand more items. Thus, he finished putting up one thousand one hundred items for sale.

“Hmm... Will people buy these?” he wondered.

In the end, he stood from a fair distance and observed if anyone would buy something from his vending machine.

Unfortunately, nobody spared a glance at the vending machine, and there was a good reason why.

“Potions! Get your potions!”

“I have all sorts of elixirs available!”

“Looking for consumables? I’m the one you need!”

There were dozens or even hundreds of merchants at the Great Jungle’s entrance, and every single one of them shouted at the top of their lungs to attract customers to their shop.

“Hmm... I won’t attract anyone at this rate,” Siegfried realized he needed to promote his vending machine.

“Why don’t you put up a banner and hire someone to promote your stuff, hyung-nim?” Seung-Gu chimed in.

“Yeah, I should do that,” Siegfried replied and decided to invest in Install Banner and Hire Promoter.

He purchased the banner with gold. He did not have to pay with cash for this, unlike the adult content.

[Install Banner]

[Allows the user to install a banner and promote their Magical Vending Machine.]

[You will require enough gold to install and sustain the banner.]

“Unni~ I need to sell all of these. Can you help me?”

The Shy Boy and Girl Promoters used their cute appearances to appeal to those older than them.

“Whoa!”

“This is insane!”

“How the hell...?”

The customers attracted by the Promoters decided to take a look at the items being sold in the vending machine, and they were not disappointed by the huge category.

“Hmm? What’s going on over there?”

“It looks like there’s something. Maybe we should go take a look.”

“Sounds like there’s an event or something.”

Then, the other Adventurers in the area started to gather around the Magical Vending Machine.

Clink!

The sound of gold dropping rang in Siegfried’s ears, followed by a message that popped up in front of his eyes.

Ding!

[Alert: You have sold Traveler’s Boots!]

[Alert: You have sold Ice Spirit!]

[Alert: You have sold King of the Ring!]

[Alert: You have sold Power of Bless]

[Alert: You have sold Fire Orb!]

The items he put up for sale started selling like hotcakes, and there was a good reason for that. He purposely priced the items ten to twenty percent cheaper than the market rate, and the Adventurers who knew the market price of these items immediately purchased them on the spot.

“Good, now I don’t have to go around selling those one by one to others,” Siegfried muttered with a satisfied grin.

The option normally used by the Adventurers to sell their items was to personally meet with the buyer, sell them in bulk for a steep discount to a shop, or put them up for auction for a high fee.

However, he did not have to do all that with the Magical Vending Machine.

He checked the vending machine one last time before heading toward the entrance of the Great Jungle.

“Let’s go.”

***

The moment Siegfried arrived in front of the entrance...

“Huh?”

“Oh!”

“It’s Siegfried!”

“Siegfried!”

“Hey! Hello!”

“Please wait!”

The Adventurers rushed over to him after recognizing him.

“Fuck off!”

“Stop pushing!”

“We saw him first!”

A fight broke out between the Adventurers trying to recruit Siegfried into their parties.

“W-What’s up with them...?” Siegfried muttered in disbelief while watching the Adventurers fight over him.

Seung-Gu went closer to him and whispered, “You’re a celebrity now hyung-nim.”

“I am?”

“Have you forgotten everything you did until now? Everyone who plays the game knows you!”

Seung-Gu was right. Siegfried had made quite a name for himself after winning the World’s Greatest Survival Tournament, destroying the Genesis Guild, and livestreaming the Sky Tower.

“R-Really?”

“I suggest we enter the strongest party here. I mean, you can decide to join any party here, and they will welcome you with open arms.”

“Hmm...”

Siegfried was now in a dilemma after hearing what Seung-Gu said.

He could enter any party he wanted? This was something he would have never imagined back then before he became Siegfried.

“Which one should I join...?” he muttered under his breath while inspecting each of the party leaders trying to recruit him.

Each party had their own strength. There was one specializing in physical damage, another specializing in magic damage, and there was even one achieving the perfect balance between physical and magic damage.

The fact that he could join any of these amazing parties made it extremely difficult for him to choose.

‘Erm... Should I just join any party that looks good and take it easy?’ he wondered.

It was then.

“Siegfried-nim?”

Someone suddenly popped up in front of him and called out his name.
