On the way to the airport, Lu Jingshen took the schedule for his trip to Europe after flipping through the flat panel. When he saw the blank space for the next half of the month, he furrowed his brow slightly, not remembering what was planned.

The vacation was Feng Si’s idea. Afterward, Liu Jie came to consult Lu Jingshen, and in the end, he didn’t object, so it was decided.

During the following week, Lu Jingshen had been coordinating and arranging the work for the future. Although he didn’t show much on his usually serious face, Liu Jie keenly noticed that her boss had been in a good mood lately.

In the past, when Lu Jingshen went on vacation each year, he never seemed this happy.

He always traveled alone, not allowing anyone to accompany him, but this time he brought an assistant.

Liu Jie shook her head. No matter how much she thought, she couldn’t figure it out. It was her boss’s private matter, and it was better not to expend too much effort trying to pry into it.

Twenty minutes later, Lu Jingshen sat in the lounge of the executive terminal, seeing Feng Si who had come to the airport an hour earlier to make preparations.

Just like the previous time, he supervised the refueling process alone on the tarmac, unaffected by the wind that blew up his pilot’s shirt, his posture lazy and carefree.

With a pen cap between his teeth, he took the refueling receipt handed to him by the ground crew, signed his name with a quick stroke.

Returning the refueling receipt, Feng Si looked up and thanked the personnel. As he took the pen back and put it in his pocket, his gaze unconsciously swept toward the direction of the terminal building.

Although he knew that the people outside couldn’t see through the glass curtain wall, Lu Jingshen still instinctively avoided his gaze.

After takeoff, Lu Jingshen ate something casually and rested in the bedroom.

In the early morning hours, he had another bout of insomnia. He came out to ask Liu Jie for the flat panel to pass the time by looking at some documents.

Ten minutes later, a flight attendant knocked on the door and quietly told him that Captain Feng invited him to the cockpit.

Lu Jingshen appeared, and Feng Si turned back and smiled at him, gesturing for him to sit behind himself.

“Look outside.”

Lu Jingshen raised his eyes and saw the splendid and magnificent colors ahead, bursting freely under the infinite black backdrop. The colors were vibrant and ever-changing, reflecting in his slightly astonished eyes.

It was the aurora, pouring like a galaxy, exquisitely beautiful.

Their plane was like a flat boat, meandering below, with endless glaciers beneath.

Lu Jingshen stared for a moment, then heard Feng Si’s voice asking, “Is it beautiful?”

He withdrew his gaze, and Feng Si was looking back at him with a smile, with the colors of the aurora reflected in their eyes.

Lu Jingshen quietly looked back, feeling a subtle touch in his heart, and remained silent for a while.

The old captain on the side sighed casually, “It’s been so many years since I last saw the aurora. We rarely fly the Arctic route.”

“I used to see it quite often,” Feng Si said, “I spent half a year on this side of Northern Europe before.”

The old captain curiously asked him, “Did you fly planes for the Nordic people?”

Feng Si replied, “Yes, because someone said they wanted to come here to see the aurora.”

He had a carefree smile on his face and didn’t even look back at Lu Jingshen when he said this.

Lu Jingshen’s eyelashes trembled slightly. He knew the person Feng Si was referring to was him.

He did say before that if he had time, he wanted to see the aurora.

In the end, it came true, but it was seven years later.

Lu Jingshen stood up, and Feng Si called out to him, “Don’t want to look anymore?”

Lu Jingshen shook his head slightly.

“It’s only seven o’clock in the morning local time in Norway, still early,” Feng Si reminded him, “Go back to sleep for a while, we’ll arrive soon.”

Lu Jingshen’s gaze lingered on his face for a moment, and Feng Si smiled again before he turned.

The plane landed at the capital airport in Norway at ten in the morning.

Lu Jingshen ended up sleeping for another two hours. He still felt a bit groggy.

As he exited, Feng Si, standing by the cabin door, reached out and supported his waist, whispering in his ear, “Mr Lu, watch your step and don’t fall asleep while walking.”

Lu Jingshen ignored him and quickly stepped off the plane.

After arriving at the hotel, Liu Jie asked Lu Jingshen if he wanted to eat something. Lu Jingshen declined and asked not to be disturbed, going straight to his room.

He wanted to sleep some more, but lying on the bed, he couldn’t find sleep. Half an hour later, someone knocked on the door. It was not surprising that it was Feng Si.

Feng Si arrived half an hour late from the airport, went to the hotel, asked Liu Jie for Lu Jingshen’s room number, and came up directly, completely ignoring Liu Jie’s words “Don’t disturb the boss.”

“I knew you couldn’t sleep, so I’m here to keep you company.” Without waiting for Lu Jingshen’s refusal, he had already squeezed into the room.

The room was well-heated, and Feng Si took off his flight jacket and casually threw it on the sofa, then gestured to Lu Jingshen, “You go back to sleep inside, I’ll lie here on the sofa for a while.”

“You can go to your own room.” Lu Jingshen frowned.

Feng Si replied, “The heating is broken.”

“I didn’t sleep much on the plane either.”

He sat down on the sofa, lying down directly, with one arm over his eyes, clearly showing signs of exhaustion.

As for the excuse he used, only he knew if it was true or false.

Lu Jingshen hesitated whether to urge him to leave, but Feng Si’s other hand reached out and grabbed his wrist.

Feng Si didn’t move, still covering his eyes with his hand, and didn’t let go of Lu Jingshen’s hand, saying, “If you don’t want to go inside, you can stay here and sleep with me.”

“Do you have to sleep here?” Lu Jingshen asked.

Feng Si turned his head, his arm moved to his forehead, and he looked at him from the corner of his eye, saying, “why? do you want to invite me to sleep with you in your bedroom?”

As he spoke, his thumb stopped on a vein on the inner side of Lu Jingshen’s wrist, gently rubbing it.

Lu Jingshen withdrew his hand, threw out the words “You can sleep here but don’t disturb me,” and went back to his room.

Feng Si’s arm returned to covering his eyes, a smile appeared on the corner of his lips, and he chuckled silently.

Lu Jingshen closed the bedroom door, lay back on the bed, and the tension in his mind gradually relaxed, finally falling asleep.

He woke up at two in the afternoon, and the person on the sofa in the living room was no longer there.

While getting ready, he saw a WeChat message from Feng Si half an hour ago.

“I’ll go downstairs to the restaurant first, get some food, and bring some back for you.”

Ten minutes later, Lu Jingshen walked into the restaurant and saw Feng Si first. He was lazily leaning back in his chair, eating and chatting with someone.

The person sitting across from him was one of the flight attendants from Lu Jingshen’s private plane.

Lu Jingshen thought for a moment but couldn’t remember her name.

Feng Si glanced up and his gaze fell on Lu Jingshen. Lu Jingshen walked over, and Feng Si smiled and asked, “Up already? Didn’t I say I’ll bring the food up for you? Why did you come down on your own? Have a seat.”

As he spoke, he pulled out the seat next to him.

Lin Ling vaguely felt that Feng Si’s tone was somewhat ambiguous, and her gaze met Lu Jingshen’s cold expression. She felt that she might have been overthinking and sat up straight, feeling a bit restrained. It was her first time having a meal with Lu Jingshen.

Fortunately, Lu Jingshen’s attention was not focused on her at all. He sat down, ordered his meal, and didn’t say a word.

Feng Si seemed to be completely indifferent to the presence of the boss by his side. He leisurely ate his food and continued chatting with Lin Ling.

Lin Ling hesitated for a moment, and then continued the interrupted conversation, “There will be a music festival here tonight. I asked my friends here to reserve tickets in advance. Feng Captain, do you have time to go together?”

Feng Si curiously asked her, “I heard that tickets for that music festival are quite difficult to get. Even the locals can’t necessarily buy them, right?”

Lin Ling nodded, “My friend happened to have a connection and managed to get two tickets. Do you want to go?”

“I do want to go,” Feng Si smiled and turned to ask Lu Jingshen, “Will Mr Lu allow me to go?”

Lu Jingshen paused for a moment, seeing the mischievousness in Feng Si’s eyes.

After a moment of silence, he said, “The organizers have arranged a welcome reception tonight.”

Feng Si seemed quite regretful and apologized to Lin Ling, “Sorry, the boss gave the order, and I have to work, so I can’t go.”

Lin Ling felt a bit awkward and said, “Well, forget it. I’ll find someone else to go with.”

She finished her own meal and left first.

Lu Jingshen silently cut his fish steak, while Feng Si drank water and kept looking at him.

“If you don’t like it, then don’t flirt around,” Lu Jingshen’s voice was cold and he didn’t look up, “It’s easy to give people the wrong impression.”

“Who would misunderstand? You?” Feng Si asked.

Lu Jingshen raised an eyebrow slightly, without waiting for him to say more, Feng Si calmly explained, ” I was just eating here alone, and she happened to come over and sit with me. She specially asked someone to buy tickets and invited me to the music festival. If I had directly refused, wouldn’t it make things awkward? So, reluctantly, I made you the bad guy.

Lu Jingshen’s gaze finally fell on him.

“If you don’t mind, then it seems like it has nothing to do with whether others misunderstand or not, right?”

After saying that, Feng Si smiled again, “What do you think?”

Lu Jingshen pursed his lips lightly and didn’t answer.

When he didn’t want to answer a question, no matter how much Feng Si said, it was useless.

Feng Si didn’t continue the topic either and called the waiter to order a dessert.

A chocolate lava cake was brought to the table, and Feng Si cut it in half with a small knife and handed one half to Lu Jingshen, saying, “Try this.”

Lu Jingshen instinctively refused; he never ate desserts.

“you don’t like sweet things, relying only on bitter coffee to survive, no wonder you live such a bitter and vengeful life,” Feng Si commented as he tasted the dessert, making sarcastic remarks.

Only he dared to be so sarcastic in front of Lu Jingshen.

Lu Jingshen remained calm and said, “You have a good understanding of idioms.”

Feng Si laughed, “Do you think a foreigner like me wouldn’t know about them?”

Lu Jingshen replied, “No.”

“Since you agree, then eat this,” Feng Si reminded him.

Lu Jingshen frowned as he looked at the half of the cake in front of him. The cut revealed the oozing liquid chocolate, which didn’t really stimulate his appetite.

But with Feng Si’s gaze fixed on him, he finally picked up the spoon and took a small bite.

The sweet and greasy taste exploded on his taste buds, making Lu Jingshen feel a tingling sensation. He reluctantly swallowed the cake.

Feng Si’s gaze followed his actions.

Lu Jingshen glanced at him, took a sip of water, and slowly said, “Chocolate is also bitter.”

It’s just that the bitterness was mixed with too much sweetness, making it difficult for him to like it.

“Clearly it’s a good thing,” Feng Si asked, “Lu, is this you being too stubborn?”

The taste of the lemon water diluted the sweetness. Lu Jingshen put down his cup and calmly said, “We’re done eating, let’s go.”

Feng Si looked at him and suddenly leaned over.

Before Lu Jingshen could react, his fingers quickly wiped his lips.

Lu Jingshen was taken aback, and Feng Si smiled and explained, “You had something on your lips.”
