Two days before the Qixi Festival, Feng Si’s mother and Feng Ting arrived in the capital city specifically to attend Lu Jingqing’s wedding.

It was An Xin who personally sent them the invitation. Fortunately, Feng Ting was on summer vacation, so they gladly accepted the invitation.

The plane arrived in the evening, and Lu Jingshen accompanied Feng Si to pick them up at the airport. Feng Si’s family naturally accepted the development in their relationship, and no questions were asked.

When they reached the hotel and got out of the car, Feng Si’s mother kindly reminded Lu Jingshen with a playful tone, “You shouldn’t spoil Feng Si too much. When he gets too pleased with himself, he becomes arrogant. Be careful not to let him bully you.”

Feng Ting nodded in agreement, “Exactly, exactly. My brother has the worst personality. He just loves to bully people.”

Feng Si, who was helping them with their luggage, couldn’t help but say, “Who’s your son and brother? Why are you acting like you are trying to sell him to someone else?”

Feng Ting stuck out her tongue at him.

Lu Jingshen solemnly explained, “Feng Si is very good to me. He’s always the one tolerating me.”

Feng Si instantly grinned ear to ear, genuinely proud of himself.

Feng’s mother had nothing more to say and instructed them to have some time for themselves for the next two days. They didn’t need to waste their time accompanying her and Feng Ting.

As the car drove away, Feng Si smiled and asked the now-relieved Lu Jingshen, “Am I good?”

Lu Jingshen replied, “I can’t say you’re not good in front of your mother, right?”

Feng Si persisted, “So, am I good or not?”

Lu Jingshen nodded slowly, “Yes you are good. “

He acknowledged it, but he probably felt a bit awkward saying it again.

Teasing him, Feng Si said, “You don’t need to be so nervous in front of your future mother-in-law.”

Lu Jingshen fell silent. His mother and sister were right; whenever he became too pleased with himself, he would reveal his true colors and start speaking nonsense.

Lu Jingshen and Feng Si arrived a day earlier to help prepare for Lu Jingqing’s wedding, which was scheduled on the day of the Qixi Festival. Due to Lu Jingshen’s father’s poor health, the wedding was held in their own family resort .

Early in the morning, they changed into the haute couture outfits that had arrived the previous day. Feng Si looked at himself and Lu Jingshen in similar gray and white suits in the mirror and couldn’t help but smile, “Why do I feel like it’s our wedding?”

Lu Jingshen didn’t respond and picked up a bowtie. Feng Si took it from him and tied it for him, then Lu Jingshen tied one for him too.

Focusing on the task at hand, Feng Si chuckled, “But let’s not go overboard with the guest list when we get married. There are too many guests invited.”

Unexpectedly, Lu Jingshen retorted, “Did I agree to marry you?”

Astonished, Feng Si smirked at him, “You didn’t?”

Lu Jingshen tied the bowtie and looked down silently for a couple of seconds before saying, “There’s no one else I’d want to spend the rest of my life with.”

Feng Si was satisfied with his answer, “You’re more likable when you speak the truth.”

Lu Jingshen glanced at him and said, “Let’s go.”

The official wedding ceremony would take place in the evening, but guests had been arriving since early morning. Lu Jingshen was busy greeting the guests, and Feng Si, as a part of the Lu family, also helped.

Unlike Lu Chixie, who openly flaunted his relationship with his boyfriend, they rarely displayed any intimacy in front of others. Yet, their silent communication and meaningful glances created an invisible barrier, making it difficult for others to intrude.

Lu Jingshen had already learned to accept the teasing from others about him and Feng Si. He realized that his relationship with Feng Si was no different from Lu Chixie’s relationship with Ling Zhuo or Lu Jingqing’s relationship with her husband. Love was simply love, and there was no need to hide it.

Feng Si’s mother and Feng Ting also arrived early that day. They were received by An Xin, and the two elders hit it off immediately, talking and laughing together.

Regarding her son’s choice, they had also had doubts and worries as parents. However, as Feng Si said, there was no blanket answer to those things. As long as the person was right, their choices and commitments could be trusted.

Before evening, Lu Jingshen went to the rest area alone to see Lu Jingqing. She had finished her makeup and had just changed into her wedding gown.

“Ah Shen, come and see, do you think this wedding gown looks good on me? You’re the first one to see it,” Lu Jingqing said with a smile, blinking her eyes.

lu Jingshen nodded sincerely and complimented her, “It looks beautiful on you sis.”

Lu Jingqing asked playfully, “does it really? You never want to tell me the truth.”

“It’s true,” Lu Jingshen replied as he handed her the wedding gift he had prepared for her – a whole set of ruby jewelry he bought for her at an auction in London.

“You are so generous,” Lu Jingqing said, pleased with the gift he gave her. She picked up the necklace and compared it on her neck, “I’ll wear this at the after-party.”

After exchanging a few jokes, Lu Jingqing tied her hair that hung down and asked him, “Feng Si’s family is also here today, right? I think I saw them at noon.”

Lu Jingshen responded, “Yes.”

“When you mention him, your eyes light up,” Lu Jingqing teased, “Where did this freak come from? He has such great skills to have you so hooked and mesmerized.”

Lu Jingshen made a fist with his hand, coughed lightly, and attempted to change the subject, “Today is your wedding, It’s not about me.”

“I know,” Lu Jingqing didn’t give him an escape route, “I can’t run away from the wedding now, so there’s no point in not talking about you guys. So  let’s talk about your man. Look at him, taking advantage of your absence to flirt with others.”

Lu Jingshen followed her gaze, and not far outside the floor-to-ceiling windows was the lawn where the ceremony was about to take place. Guests had gathered there, drinking, snacking, chatting, and socializing.

Feng Si was among them, holding a glass of red wine in one hand and the other casually in his pocket, adopting his usual lazy posture. He was surrounded by a few young women, laughing and chatting with them.

Lu Jingshen’s gaze rested on him and calmly said, “He may appear a bit out of line, but that’s not who he truly is.”

“Okay, I don’t know him that well,” Lu Jingqing redirected her gaze, “I didn’t tell you earlier, but when I was in London, he took the initiative to ask me about you. The fact that he noticed your issues shows that he cares. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have mentioned anything to him. When I asked him about his feelings towards you, he said he didn’t want you to see him as a last resort. He said he’d wait for you to figure things out and then talk about a long-term future. He also said that he had already decided on you and had never thought of giving up.”

Lu Jingshen was slightly taken aback.

Lu Jingqing continued, “To be honest, I was quite surprised. His words and actions seem to differ. If it were someone else saying these things, I would think it’s just sweet talk, but since you believe him, I’ll take it as he’s telling the truth.”

“I trust him,” Lu Jingshen affirmed, “He’s good, you don’t have to worry about me. I’ll be fine.”

Lu Jingqing huffed, “if you say he’s good, then he must be good. But I still want to give you a piece of advice. “love others a little less, and love yourself more, you come first.”

After a moment of silence, Lu Jingshen nodded gently, “I know.”

Feng Si was still on the lawn, all by himself, leisurely enjoying the flowers that adorned the ground.

Lu Jingshen walked over and picked up a rose, handing it to him, “This is for you, today’s flower.”

Since the day he came out and confessed his feelings, he had promised to continue this tradition, and he hadn’t broken it. He still gave Feng Si a rose every day, no matter where they were, no matter how busy or tired he was.

Feng Si smiled, “So casual today? You just picked one and gave it to me?”

He then took the flower, shortened the stem, and casually inserted it into his suit pocket.

Lu Jingshen watched his actions, his eyes full of adoration staring at Feng Si. Feng Si raised his chin, “Aren’t you supposed to be talking to the bride inside? Why are you staring at me?”

Lu Jingshen took the glass from his hand, poured the last sip of red wine into his mouth, and said casually, “ you’re just too eye-catching. The bride noticed you and reminded me to come look for you and see what you’re up to.”

“So, what did you see me doing?” Feng Si laughed, explaining, “A girl came to talk to me, wanting to exchange contact information. A few others were encouraging her. I told them I am Mr. Lu Jingshen’s man, which surprised them, and they apologized and left.”

“Oh,” Lu Jingshen responded.

Feng Si noticed a vague smile in his eyes and raised an eyebrow, suddenly realizing that Lu Jingshen might indeed care a little bit, but more likely he was deliberately teasing him. He had fallen for it for the first time.

Feng Si helplessly but amusedly said, “Alex, you’ve learned to be mischievous.”

Lu Jingshen remained composed, “I’m learning from you.”

As the twilight turned into night, the wedding ceremony began.

Lu Jingshen didn’t go to the front and stood with Feng Si behind the crowd to witness the ceremony.

Their Father led the gorgeously dressed Lu Jingqing down the red carpet and handed her over to the groom. Applause resounded all around.

During the vows, Feng Si suddenly leaned over, his breath brushing against Lu Jingshen’s ear as he whispered each word, “For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part.”

In his charming British accent, Feng Si’s voice recited the vows of the newlyweds, gently tapping on Lu Jingshen’s eardrums and resonating with his heartbeat.

Then came the laughter, low and lazy, enveloped in an intoxicating heat that was enough to set his soul on fire.

After the wedding ceremony, the after-party was a wild celebration for the young guests.

The bride and groom led the first dance, and the guests began to release their pent-up enthusiasm without restraint.

Lu Jingshen saw Lu Chixie dancing with his boyfriend in the crowd, nearly going crazy with excitement. Feng Si noticed the direction of his gaze and asked with a smile, “Jealous? Want to dance too?”

Lu Jingshen retracted his gaze, drank half a glass of red wine, and inexplicably felt a bit dry in his mouth, “I don’t want to dance. Want to go somewhere else?”

The afterglow of the evening sky had already faded, and the night had fallen, with sparkling stars lighting up the surroundings.

The colors of the fire were reflected in Lu Jingshen’s eyes, and a surge of emotions washed over him.

Feng Si understood and put down his wine glass with a soft smile, “Then let’s go.”

They didn’t go back to their room but headed towards the back of the mountain instead.

Away from the noisy crowd, everything was quiet, and the sound of insects could even be heard.

In that rare moment of tranquility, Lu Jingshen deliberately slowed down his pace, not in a hurry to show the carefully prepared gift to Feng Si.

“Actually, sometimes I come here alone, taking advantage of the time when my family is not around, to stay here for one or two nights. When I can’t sleep, I come out to this mountain, listen to the sounds outside, and it helps me relax a lot.”

Lu Jingshen’s deep voice was calm and natural. He could now easily talk about his past troubles in front of Feng Si, as if it were an ordinary matter.

Feng Si made him feel complete now, and he couldn’t hide anything from him.

Feng Si raised an eyebrow and asked, “When you are alone, do you just daydream and contemplate about life?”

“Not really,” Lu Jingshen’s voice paused, and he continued, “I always think about you.”

Feng Si chuckled, “Should I say I’m flattered then?”

Lu Jingshen shook his head slightly; he was only regretful. He had indeed been too cowardly during those seven years when Feng Si was searching for him all over the world. He could only hide in this corner, this mountain and think about him. In the end, Feng Si finding him wasn’t just luck for Feng Si; it was like prepaying all the good luck of this life and the next.

“Don’t think too much,” Feng Si saw through his thoughts and comforted him, “The past is past, and there is still the future. I already made my vows to you.”

Thinking about Feng Si’s recent declaration at someone else’s wedding, Lu Jingshen felt speechless, “Hmm.”

They continued walking forward, bypassing the back mountain, and suddenly the view opened up to reveal a brand-new airport runway.

Ever since they returned from France the previous year, Lu Jingshen had been planning this project. After almost a year of effort, the small airport was finally completed.

Feng Si wasn’t surprised, “You brought me here to see this?”

“It’s your Qixi Festival gift . Go take a look,” Lu Jingshen’s tone was as if he casually gave a gift to a lover that wasn’t well thought out. But in reality, he was referring to the row of various brands and models of small aircraft parked, totaling nearly twenty planes.

Feng Si was slightly astonished. He thought there would be just one plane, but Lu Jingshen had actually bought a whole fleet of them?

“Seriously, Alex, do you have that much money to spend? Why did you buy so many planes all at once? Are you starting an aviation school?” Feng Si teased.

Lu Jingshen explained, “I didn’t know which one was good, so I just bought them all. They weren’t expensive.”

For him, they were indeed not expensive. Those small planes could range from a few hundred thousand to a few million, which was cheaper than a car. Moreover, he had his own airport, so there wouldn’t be a problem keeping the planes.

Feng Si loved superheroes ever since he was young. He couldn’t go back in time to collect the beloved action figures for the younger Feng Si, but he could collect the aircrafts he liked now.

That was probably the second time that Feng Si felt so cherished. The first time was when Lu Jingshen openly confessed his feelings for him during the live broadcast.

Lu Jingshen was always like this, quietly doing things that made Feng Si both happy and exasperated.

“Do you like it?” Lu Jingshen asked uncertainly, observing his expression.

Feng Si teased, “I love it, but what should I do? I don’t know how to fly all these different models of planes.”

Lu Jingshen thought for a moment and said, “If you want to learn, you can learn. If you don’t want to, we can just leave them here as a collection.”

Feng Si leaned against one of the planes, smiling at him, and reached out to pull him closer.

“Is it because last time I said it was inconvenient to use other people’s planes?” Feng Si’s voice carried a hint of teasing. As his warm breath approached, Lu Jingshen felt a tingling sensation on his neck, recalling that passionate night in France.

Lu Jingshen nodded, “Mmm.”

With lips pressed together, they slowly explored each other’s mouths, the softened lips made more tender from the effects of alcohol, causing a dizzying feeling of intoxication.

Their bodies quickly heated up, and Lu Jingshen loosened his tie, placing his hands on Feng Si’s shoulders. He wasn’t satisfied with just light touches; he wanted more, yearning for intimacy.

The deep kiss went on for a long time until both of their breaths were no longer steady. They separated their lips, foreheads touching.

As their gazes met, they smiled at each other. One of Feng Si’s hands rested on Lu Jingshen’s waist, pulling his suit jacket aside and slipping inside his shirt to caress his heated skin.

Lu Jingshen let out a soft sigh, reminding him, “Let’s go inside the plane.”
