Actually, according to our scientists who have studied the stone it actually absorbs the life-force from the flower, rather than emitting some deadly radiation. In fact, it emits no radiation at all, which any Geiger-counter can testify to. And dont worry, it is not able to absorb human lifeforce. At least not what we know.
