240 Armory (2)
Blake saw how the fight between Robus and the horde of Bison went. And although he had his own guesses about how Robus would fare against a horde, it was still quite surprising for him to see Robus was really pushed back despite the two sides’ massive difference in strength.
After the dozens of bison remaining made their way past Robus, leaving about ten bison carcasses with their souls floating above their bodies, Blake flew down close enough.
“Are you okay, Robus?”
“R, rr.”
“It’s normal for you to have difficulties fighting against a large number of enemies with only your fist, don’t think too much about it.”
Despite understanding what Blake meant, Robus still couldn’t accept that he, someone that could easily kill one of the bison with a single punch, would be overwhelmed by those creatures due to their numbers.
And such cases didn’t only happen once. Back then when the humanoid demon army went and surrounded him from all sides, relying on their numbers to hinder him, Robus also felt more powerless than ever.
Although the horde of bison wasn’t as annoying as the humanoid demons, they were enough to rekindle the hatred that he had from being outnumbered and beaten by numbers.
“Robus!” Blake’s voice was heard in Robus’ ears as he pointed towards the ground in front of him, where the horde of bison should have gone.
.....
About a hundred meters from the group’s location, the bison horde could be seen slowly turning the direction of their charge, and going back in the group’s direction.
“They really came for us, didn’t they?” Blake commented as he prepared several of his rune formations, ready to finish the fight with them in this following exchange between the two of them.
“Get ready, Cyra, we will bring hell to them.”
But before Cyra could give her reply, Robus half shouted as he looked at his best friend.
“RR!”
Hearing his best friend’s words, Blake was conflicted about whether to let him do it or not. On one hand, he knew that Robus rarely acted selfishly and always listened to his instructions. He would only do otherwise when he really wanted to do so. But on the other hand, Blake also didn’t like seeing his best friend being bullied by the weak horde of bison that he could defeat any time he wished using only a few simple moves of his.
He knew Robus wasn’t weak, he was only mismatched against the wrong kind of enemy.
But in the end, Blake nodded his head and let Robus fight the horde of bison on his own again. He could feel what Robus felt in his heart, and he didn’t want his best friend to have a nail sticking out in his heart without a way to hammer it back down and become a constant disruption for him.
“Show them what you got, pal!” Blake said before flying higher a little to watch the upcoming fight.
Seeing the horde of bison, deep down inside, Robus wished that he would have something that would fill up his weakness in fighting against large numbers.
And as if something had heard his plea, a new unknown feeling appeared in the depth of his body.
It was unknown to him, but it somehow felt familiar. It was a very familiar feeling that had taught him how to use his bloodline ability without anyone teaching him how to do it.
He didn’t know what it is back then, and it took Robus more than just a single day to finally be able to use his bloodline ability at will, but now that his intelligence had increased, and his familiarity with his own bloodline ability had also increased, Robus knew what he needed to do and quickly closed his eyes to focus on the unknown feeling.
With Robus putting all his attention on the new unknown feeling inside his body, Robus was soon able to follow it and found where it came from. And of course, just as he felt earlier, it did come from the runes on his chest. The runes that were responsible for giving him the dark earth armor that protected him from almost everything.
Robus studied the feeling, trying to find out what it wanted to tell him. And with all his focus and attention poured into it, Robus soon found out what the feeling was trying to tell him.
Still with his eyes closed, Robus focused on the runes on his chest again despite the dark earth armor that had already been donned on his body.
Robus sent his nether onto the runes once more, but not with the intention of mending his armor. What he had in mind instead was something else.
He imagined something that he could use, a tool that would help him to defeat the predicament in front of him.
Using the inspiration that he got from the tools that the humanoid demon used to fight him, Robus got a clear image in mind about the tool that was not only sharp that it could kill the bison easily, but also long enough that he could have some distance away from the bison’s horns while sending his attacks.
With the nether that he sent in his body, something then began to form on his right hand as a smooth-surfaced dark earth stick began forming itself. And after the stick had been made, new dark earth was pumped on one end of the stick, making a sharp, dual-edged blade.
Blake and the two other demonesses watched the scene with both confusion and amazement as the scene of a weapon made from dark earth was birthed into the world.
And along with the completion of the dark earth spear in Robus’ hand, a notification rang in his head.
[Congratulations! A bloodline power has evolved!]

(Earth Ape Demon) Dark Earth Armory
A variation of earth armory that had received a massive amount of darkness elements. On top of the ordinary protection you get from the original earth armor and the capability to make ordinary earth weapons, the darkness element would also enhance the defensive and offensive capability by absorbing some of the elements that were thrown into the armor and weapon to reinforce themselves.
