C111 Elven Rock(part I)

"Will they find us when we return to the elves' lair? Why don't we go to a settlement a little further away? " Ace suggested, worried.

Zi Ling shook her head, "No need. The most dangerous place is the safest place. From their point of view, we won't return to the Grayvale sect. The location of the Grayvale sect is remote, so hiding there for a short period of time is the safest place."

After listening to Violet Ling's analysis, Athy also felt that it made sense, so he nodded in agreement.

At this moment, the sky had already turned completely dark. The few of them shuttled through the forest. With Accius leading the way, they soon arrived outside the Elven Mansion without taking a detour.

"The Elf Village of Grayvale sect is right in front of us. Should we inform the Village Chief of this place?" Arth asked the village chief for her opinion. If they wanted to enter the elves' houses, they had to inform the village chief.

Zi Ling shook her head. "Not today. Let's find a place to rest near the village."

As they spoke, they were already very close to the village.

Zi Ling's gaze moved past the speckling trail and landed on a small figure.

"Who are you?" A young elf appeared in front of them, staring at them warily.

Ace immediately stepped forward and said, "Don't spread the news. We're just passing by and want to spend the night here. We'll inform the village chief tomorrow."

Wisp stared at the few of them with a stubborn look on his innocent face, "No, I don't know if you are good or bad. I must inform the village chief."

Ace remembered that Zi Ling had told him not to alarm the village chief and wanted to stop the little elf, but the little elf was very nimble and quickly distanced himself from them.

"Very well, go and inform the Village Chief. Originally, we had thought that it would be too late and that we would have to disturb the Village Chief. Since you are worried, we will wait for you here." Zi Ling suddenly spoke.

Wisp paused for a moment, as he heard her words. "Very few people pass through the Grayvale sect. Are you here on purpose?"

"That's right, we are being chased by a group of elves. We want to seek refuge here." Zi Ling continued.

Ace listened to Zi Ling's words and stopped making noise so as not to delay her further.

It was rare for the Purple Ribbon to speak to someone so openly and honestly, and the other party was even a young elf. She felt that this stubborn little elf seemed to be able to distinguish between good and evil, as well as the truth in his words. Rather than saying false words to attract unnecessary suspicion, it was better to speak the truth from the start.

Wisp frowned. "You guys will bring disaster to the Grayvale sect if you come here. You should leave."

Athy was about to say something, but Zi Ling waved her hand to stop him. Then, she slowly walked closer to Wisp, "I heard that Elves are the kindest race. If other Elves knew that you rejected your offer to help us, would they agree?"

The elf opened his eyes wide in astonishment, and his gaze fell upon Violet's face as he carefully sized her up. He then slowly turned his gaze towards Ace, the Arrow Tail Tiger, and the injured Pearl.

"My comrade is injured and needs a place to recuperate. Otherwise, we can stay in the forest." Zi Ling continued.

"Did you guys really get into trouble and want to escape?" Wisp seemed to waver.

"Did anything happen here?" Zi Ling's ability to see through people's hearts was something that no one could match. This stubborn little elf's eyes were clear and pure. He should be kind-hearted, but there must be a reason why he was on guard against her.

Wisp looked at the few of them and shook his head, "Your companions need to recuperate. I know of a place where you don't have to enter. That way, you don't have to disturb the Village Head Grandpa."

"Alright, then I'll have to trouble you to bring us there." Violet Ling didn't really want to enter the village, she just wanted to find a place for Zhu Er to recuperate, and also for the Elves who were chasing after Ace to not be able to discover them. They would have to hide for a period of time, until the Shadowfiend led Ace's enemies away, so that they would be safe.

Wisp looked at them and beckoned, "Come with me." As he spoke, his small figure nimbly slipped into the thick bushes by the side of the road.

Accius turned to look at Violet, "Do you really want to follow her?" He didn't trust Wisp, and he didn't trust anyone from the bottom of his heart.

Zi Ling glanced at him but didn't say anything. She followed the little elf's footsteps.

The Tiger Arrows Tailed Tiger naturally followed closely behind Zi Ling. Argus stayed where he was for a moment, but it was better for him to keep up with everyone.

"It's right in front," the elf said to the purple silk when they reached their destination. He would occasionally look back at them.

After the little elf finished speaking, he went into a large tree's hollow and turned around, gesturing for Zi Ling and the rest to follow him.

Zi Ling walked into the tree hole and followed the little elf's footsteps as he advanced step by step.

The hole in the tree was just large enough for a person to pass through. It was somewhat damp in the dark. Slowly forward, the hollow moved upward.

"This is a hundred-year-old tree, you can rest here for a while, normally there are very few Elves around." Wisp talked as he walked.

Zi Ling nodded as she looked at Wisp's back, "What's your name?"

Wisp did not look back, but climbed nimbly through the hollow of the tree. "My name is Locke."

"What are you doing out so late?" This elf looked to be about the same age as a human child of about ten years old, but he was wandering around outside at night.

"I don't have a home." There was no emotion in Locke's voice.

Arth had already caught up, following closely behind Zi Ling. Upon hearing her, he asked, "What about your parents?"

"I also don't have any parents. I was retrieved from the Eternal Song Forest by Grandpa Paric." The little figure shuttled back and forth through the narrow hollow of the tree, looking so thin and stubborn.

Zi Ling glanced at the figure shuttling in front of her, "This is your residence?"

"Mm …" "Although I have kept you, tomorrow I will go and inform Grandpa Papparek that if you want to stay, you must also get permission from Grandpa Papparek."

The elf had his own set of rules, and never forgot that outsiders had to be allowed to enter the village with the permission of Papparek's grandfather.

After going through the hole in the tree, he finally saw the starlight shining down from the leaves.

"We're here," Loke said, looking back at them. "You can rest here."

Zi Ling and the others entered one after another. They were at the center of a giant tree's thick trunk. The hole in the tree was very wide. One could even see the stars through the hole in the tree.

Locke pursed his lips, looked around at the others, then turned and disappeared into another hollow beside the tree trunk.

Zi Ling signaled the Tiger Arrows Tail Tiger to come closer, then she personally pulled Zhu'er off the Tiger's back, allowing her to lie down flat in the hollow tree. He then checked on the situation of Zhu Er and, seeing that she had recovered well, he took back his hand and sat down.

Before long, Locke emerged from a nearby tree hole with a wooden tray in his hand. He pursed his lips and said nothing.

He walked to the middle of the hollow tree and placed the tray on the ground. He glanced at the others, then got up and went into the hole in the tree.

On the tray were brightly colored plants and a wooden jar.

Ace saw the food and his stomach growled. He chuckled, "Everyone should be hungry. These are all for eating. Come and eat."

After saying that, he endured his hunger and handed a green fruit to the purple silk, "Taste it, this taste is not bad."

Zi Ling nodded gently and received the thing. Ace saw her mouth twitching so he no longer held back. He grabbed the food on the tray and began to wolf it down.

The Tiger took a sniff and shook its head in disgust. Then, it lay down in the corner of the hollow tree and dozed off.

Zi Ling took a bite and a sweet taste filled her mouth. She chewed gently and turned to look at the hole in the tree where Locke had disappeared.

Apart from Ling'er, this was the second child with exceptional talent. Loke had the best conditions for cultivation.

From the first moment she saw Roarke, she had been moved. She was trying hard, and she would seize any opportunity she could. Locke's talent would not be any worse than Ling'er's. She needed these people to help her.

That night, everyone had a good night's rest, especially Ace. He could not remember how many days he had woken up from his dream, but last night he slept and only woke up at dawn.

Zi Ling investigated Zhu'er's condition and found that her body was almost completely recovered. She then heaved a sigh of relief.

After everyone woke up, Loke also came out of the tree hole. His silver hair still had some dew on it.

"Hurry up and eat. After you're done, I'll take you to see Grandfather Paparic." Locke handed them the fruit he had just picked.

Ace took it and began to eat.

Zi Ling was not hungry, so she let the tail of an arrow tiger carry Zhu'er as she said to Loke, "Alright, lead the way."

Roarke glanced at her, a young man with a mature, intelligent face that didn't match his age.

"Human, I will take you to see Grandpa Parric, but if I know that you lied to me and harmed the elves in the village, I will have a way to deal with you." Loke forcefully pursed his lips, stared at Zi Ling and the others and said with a threatening tone.

"Why can't you understand me at such a young age? What's so good about us coming to such a remote place?" Ace didn't know why such a little elf would be so wary.

Zi Ling nodded. "Alright, if you find out that we have something bad for you, you can use your method to take revenge on us."

Locke glanced dubiously at the purple silk. In his little heart, this beautiful human had a convincing force.

"Alright, I believe you temporarily. Follow me." With that, he turned around and entered the tree hole.

Zi Ling was the first to follow. Walking out of the tree hole in the daytime, there were many twists and turns, and there were also many forks in the road. However, Loke was very familiar with these twists and turns as he walked through them.

"You've been living here alone?" Zilch asked as she watched Loke's back.

"Yes, I've lived here since I was five years old."

"What is it? Why did your Grandfather Palik pick you up and throw you away? " Ace leaned forward and asked.

"I wasn't thrown out by Papparel. You're not allowed to spout nonsense."
