Ayre lifted her giant hand, swung it, and then fell. Her tiny body was unable to support the movement.
I just stared at the shapeshifter who was on her stomach.
"Sorry." She raised her head, speaking with her signature blank expression.
And Szur stifled another laugh.
I've already paused the gameplay, then searched the internet for how to awaken an undead. The only way I found was to slap them.
And no one dares to fight the demon chariot with a level two character like me. Looks like I'm also an idiot.
A Mare like Szur had a method of waking someone up using nightmares. Unfortunately, the brains of the undead are basically dead, too. So that method can't be used.
"Sorry, Emily." I have no other choice. My ears could hear the monster starting to walk, and escape was impossible.
So, I slapped the supreme undead with all my might. However, even though the slap made a loud sound, she didn't wake up. I had to do it several times, but the result was still the same.
She was like someone who had just taken a hefty dose of sleeping pills.
"My lord..." Szur raised his right index and middle finger. "It only takes two fingers, and you can do it."
Ayre also made the same gesture with her oversized hand.
"Really?" I did that pose, too. "Isn't there another way?"
Should I violate this woman's lower back with my finger?
The heavy footsteps of the monster began to approach us.
No. This is too absurd for me. Even slapping a woman is too much for me.
I chose to put my mouth close to the supreme undead's ear and whispered. "Wake up, Emily. Ritor will kiss you."
That woman opened her eyes wide and stood up.
Holy cow. I didn't think it would wake her up.
"Where's Ritor?" The woman looked around like an idiot. And when she saw Ayre's midget form, she almost jumped in surprise. "What happened to you, Ayre!?"
The shapeshifter just waved, and I pulled Emily to hide behind the rubble.
"That monster is looking for us, don't draw its attention." I hissed while covering her mouth with my hand.
After she calmed down a bit, I lowered my hand and said. "Listen to me…."
With rapid intonation, I told her about what had happened. Luckily the monster looked elsewhere instead, giving me extra time.
"I still don't understand, my lord." The supreme undead's brow furrowed. "So, the horse turned into..."
"I know you have a lot of questions." I cut her off. "But, there's no time. I've got a plan."
***
After we had to move from place to place to avoid the monster, I finally managed to convey my plan.
"Are you sure it will work?" Emily asked again. "I have the impression that the monster is smart enough. It's definitely anticipating the same attack."
"Well, at least we let it fall first." I looked through the ruins, finding the monster now frozen. Maybe it's only going to move when we get out. "Just do it, Emily. We can't hide forever."
"Okay...." Even though she still looked doubtful, Emily still touched the ground with both hands.
In just seconds, hundreds of footsteps could be heard from all directions. The undeads appeared again, immediately running to the giant monster.
The giant monster tried to dispel them with its hands. However, the creature was overwhelmed because there were more of them than before.
The undeads managed to surround the monster's left leg, forcing it to fall.
And that's when I saw that there were no more thruster holes in that thing's legs.
"Shit!" I flew with Emily while Szur and Ayre were on my back.
"As I said, that thing has intelligence." Emily hissed. "It's not going to repeat the same mistakes."
I intended to seal the thrust holes in the monster's feet using the undeads, but that can't be done anymore. So, before our opponent could really get up, my subordinates and I landed on its back.
"Help me open this!" I tried to open one of the plates on the monster's back again. This time some of the undeads helped me.
"Shit, what exactly is this made of!?" Emily cursed. She used her giant sword to pry open the plate I pulled out. "Why is this so hard!"
"Keep trying!" I shouted, still trying to move the plate even though the gap we made only increased a little. "Look, what we're doing is paying off!"
Despite saying that, I doubted we'd make it, even though all I needed was a gap to enter. Yes, maybe the plate will be opened enough, but I'm not sure it will happen soon.
Meanwhile, the giant monster started to rise, disturbing our balance.
"Don't move, ugly monster!" Even though my position was nearly ninety degrees and the many undeads fell from the giant monster's back, I still managed to widen the gap.
Unfortunately, I still can't enter. The gap is only about 10 inches.
Suddenly, Szur jumps into the gap, though he gets trapped and half of his body is still outside.
"What are you doing, Szur!?" I gasped. So far, I didn't get the impression that Szur had this kind of self-sacrifice.
Before Szur could answer, Emily kicked the little creature's butt, forcing him to enter through the gap.
"Forgive me!" Emily shouted, just as the giant monster stood up completely.
The undeads moved to the feet of that thing again to knock it down. However, this time our enemy was able to anticipate by kicking them.
"So, what should we do after this?" Emily, still hanging on the monster's back, asked.
I, who did the same, shrugged. "I don't know. Waiting, maybe?"
We could still survive because so many undeads had come to that monster, probably more than two hundred. That creature is so oblivious to our existence.
Even so, how long will this last?
"My lord..." Emily hissed. "Is this just me? Or are the gaps really widening?"
I looked around. "No…. You're right, Emily."
The distance between the plates has indeed become apart from each other.
