Chapter 244 244 – The Biggest Ritual

Ayre fell silent before Emily, who had just returned from a long journey home.

"Hey, what happened?" the supreme undead asked. Her friend had been like that for too long. "Doc suggested I come here because she doesn't know what happened to me. Is it dangerous?"

"No, not at all." The shapeshifter general shook her head. "I want to congratulate you instead."

Emily's brow furrowed. "Congratulations for what? You scared me."

"You are already on par with lord Vorn, fairy, Kraken, and dragon power."

"Huh?" It took Emily a while to digest those words. She then widened her eyes and couldn't speak anymore.

"Yeah." Ayre smiled, patting the supreme undead on the shoulder. "You are now high-being. That's why you can expend much energy against the Kraken."

Emily's chin dropped. She was still speechless.

"I don't know exactly why this happened. Hundreds of years in that undead cave also seem to have played a big role. You are constantly surrounded by ragmonuk metal that continues to increase your potential... The point is, the moments after you leave there are only as a trigger for your power awakening."

The supreme undead leaned back against the chair. "I don't know how to react to that information. Hell, I don't even understand everything you're saying."

"You should be happy, Em." Ayre widened her smile. "That means you will be able to better assist lord Vorn with your immense power."

"Maybe you are right." Emily shrugged. "I'm just in shock. You are the one who deserves something like this more. You are my master and have more experience than me, after all."

"No, I'm still way below you."

Ayre's communication book on the table vibrated. The shapeshifter general took that thing and answered the call. "Hello."

She listened to the report for a moment and responded. "Okay, I'll be there soon.."

"Was it about the interdimensional transmigration ritual?"

Ayre put the book down on a table, smiling again. "Yeah, preparations are almost complete."

Emily and Ayre came to a large vacant lot some distance from the base. Several shapeshifters were inspecting a 100-foot magic circle there. Meanwhile, the minotaurs were embedding a giant metal pillar in the center.

"Hey, Emily, Ayre." Phisovia greeted the two generals. "Perhaps this is the most historic night for me."

"This is a historic night for all of us." Ayre looked at Lexi, the other generals, and the judges at the edge of the giant magic circle. "Besides going on an inter-dimensional journey to meet lord Vorn, this is the biggest magic ritual I will be doing."

Velvet, with her hair completely dyed black, approached the shapeshifter general. Her face was slightly blushing, and her body was twitching many times. "Isn't this too strange?"

"Those are the clothing that humans in that dimension usually wear. We can't attract attention there." Ayre explained. "We've been trying to replicate it according to lord Vorn's description."

Velvet studied her body again, which was wrapped in a white t-shirt with a modern style, pants that looked like jeans, and black and white sneakers. "Well, but it still feels weird to me."

A shapeshifter came to Ayre, handed a medium-sized bag to the general, and said. "The minotaurs have set up the Mythril pillar, lady Ayre. We can start this anytime."

"Great." Ayre changed her face to be more different. Her clothes also changed, similar to Velvet's, but she wore a casual flannel shirt instead. "Let's go."

She then clapped her hands to attract the attention of the others. "Those who were not appointed to remain here, please leave immediately! This is so that the ritual goes smoothly!"

Everyone present rushed off except for Vorn's lovers, Tess, Szur, and Ritor.

"As I told you. You all concentrate on lord Vorn. Don't imagine his figure, but his character and what you have done with him. It will help this ritual to pinpoint his whereabouts." Ayre explained again. "You all share a strong emotional bond with lord Vorn. Please help."

The others had already left, so no other minds would intervene. This should run smoothly.

However, with a ritual this big, there are so many variables that can ruin everything. Ayre had to be very careful.

Ayre nodded at Tess, who immediately ran to the center of the magic circle, then raised her hand. She created a giant magic portal above.

"That's…." Xenora gasped at how large the Kraken was coming out of that portal. "I didn't know it would be that big."

"Trust me, Xen." Emily shrugged. "I was also surprised when I found that thing in the ocean."

A thunderous thump filled the air as the Kraken's body landed on the magic circle, simultaneously triggering a strong shock on the ground. Lexi was a little shaky because of that.

"I once ate dried octopus in a stew," Ritor muttered. "It's delicious and looks much like this, but with a thick broth. I wondered how it would taste if an octopus this big was made into a stew."

The others turned their heads to the minotaur. They didn't expect that the horned creature could say that.

When the Kraken's tentacles twitched, they immediately used their fighting stance.

"It's okay." Ayre kept walking toward the center of the magic circle. "Rilla said this creature can't do anything on the land."

Velvet follows the shapeshifter general.

"Good luck, you girls!" Phisovia gave words of encouragement. "We await Lord Vorn's return."

Ayre looked at her comrades again. "I will bring him back no matter what."

Those two women stopped by a 20-foot-tall Mythril pillar close to the silver-scaled lizard's corpse, which was covered in white cloth.

"Are you nervous, Vel?" Ayre handed the pouch she was carrying to the dragon woman, then touched the pillar with both hands.

"Of course." Velvet wore a faint smile. "But it's more because I'm finally going to meet lord Vorn again. My hands are shaking with excitement."

"Me too. I can't wait to meet him." Ayre started to focus on flowing her magical energy to activate the ritual. "Let's hope this goes well."

Not long after, the huge pillar emitted a bright blue light.
