Ethan Jr. attempted to attack me again and dodged his fist. He did not give up by continuing to give combinations of punches and kicks.
Gradually, I could feel that his speed was increasing. I can indeed counterattack him, but he can also parry and dodge.
And finally, he jumped up and kicked me in the chest with both feet, sending me rolling across the room.
"Damn, you're good." I laughed bitterly while clutching my chest. However, I'm sure the pain wasn't due to the kick from Ethan Jr.
"I have to kill you, Vorn." That young man hissed. "I have to do this duty of mine, or I won't be able to rest easy."
"Say it, Ethan." I can barely stand. "What will the future be like? Is it that bad that you feel compelled to come to this time to kill me?"
He chuckled. "You know this, right? I can't explain the future situation to you. We don't know what the consequences will be. As I said, I came here just to kill you for my peace of mind."
"I doubt it." I sharpened my tone. "If the world I dreamed of came true, you would have no reason to kill me. Like Velvet, who also has no reason to do that."
Ethan Jr. was silent for a moment. "Hey, we've been talking for too long. Are you stalling? What do you want, Vorn? Resting because of that weak body of yours? Waiting for reinforcements? What happened to the mighty lord Vorn?"
"What about you?" I forced my body to straighten up, even though I wanted to lie down. "I can feel that you are doing a ragmonuk metal infusion into your body. You feel pain, too, right? That method is a bitch."
Instead of speaking again, Ethan jumped up and tried to ram his knee against me. Again, I blocked him, but this time I was pushed back.
Suddenly a white explosion appeared before me, sending Ethan flying far away until he crashed into a wall. When I looked to the other side of the room, I found a man striking a punching pose, and his fist was emitting smoke.
"Hi, lord Vorn." The man with the mohawk-cropped orange hair smiled at me. "I think I changed my mind. I no longer want to kill you."
There was familiarity on the face of that man wearing gray armor. And it didn't take long for me to guess who it was.
"Alain?" I raised an eyebrow. "Is that you?"
"That's right, my lord." He bowed to me. "I also come from the future. Alain, at your service."
"Fuck…." Ethan Jr. grew up. "Neither here nor in the future. You always bother me, Alain."
"Stop it, Ethan." The adult version of Alain sighed. "I also had an obsession with killing Lord Vorn, but after a while, I realized it was pointless. Go back to mom and dad."
Ethan Jr rose to his feet. "I'm not a kid anymore…."
But a second later, he fell to his knees, and his body changed to human form again. Then, his mouth spat out some thick black liquid.
"See…." I sighed. "That method is a bitch."
Ethan glared at Alain and me with his lips filled with the black liquid, then screamed at the top of his lungs. An invisible force exploded from his body, sending us flying.
And when I got up, I couldn't see Ritor's son anywhere.
"I hate it when he uses that thing." Alain scratched his hair in frustration. "He is very difficult to catch."
With a bit limp, I approached Alain and smiled at him. "You become a fine man, Alain."
He bowed again. "That's because of your excellent upbringing, Lord Vorn."
Not long after, Emily and Velvet hurriedly entered this room.
"What happened?" I heard there was an explosion here."

Sitting in the meeting room, I looked at Karl, Jude, Alain, Velvet, Emily, and the representatives from the Elves. The woman with short blue hair looked tense.
Since all the other demons have turned to stone, they are the only officials of interest I can call upon.
"So, you said the elves are willing to protect this place?" I asked the blue-haired elf.
She nodded. "They are very grateful for this wonderful gift, my lord. They are willing to risk their lives to defend this place. It concerns their legacy, after all."
"And to augment our force, I propose to bring several companies of human troops over here," Karl added. "That is in anticipation of the arrival of our other enemies. I hate to say this, but there's no denying that this city is vulnerable."
"Then you two dismissed," I answered them, even though I hated asking for help like that. "Do whatever is necessary. Defend this city as best you can."
"I will also ask for help via my link, my lord." Jude chimed in.
After the three individuals paid their respects to me and left, I asked Alain. "So what can you say, Alain? I bet you can't talk much either, can you? Those who sent you to this time must have said it could screw the timeline."
"You are right, your majesty." He nodded. "All I can say is that Ethan Jr. is showing those symptoms due to time travel. Actually, he is stronger than that. In my time, you are the only one who can defeat him."
"The combination of demonic power, prophetness, and Ragmonuk metal infusion," Velvet commented. "I think that's a bad combination."
"But I feel he is really in pain." I leaned my back against the chair. "All of that takes a toll on his body. He is like that not only because of time travel."
"So, what will you do, my lord?" Emily asked with a tense face.
"I have to kill him," I answered with a cold tone. "It's a shame because he's Ritor's son. But we have no other choice. Ayre is not here to return him to his time."
"I apologize for asking this, my lord," Velvet said, looking at me deeply. "I know you promised not to kill Ethan Jr…. Is… Ah, I guess I don't need to ask that. Forgive me, my lord. Just forget what I just said."
I prefer silence to respond to the prophet's words. To be honest, I don't know what to do yet.
