The environment trembled slightly as Samira looked at the feline.
"So you clear my name... And you don't tell me?" Samira said, standing up from her seat and looking directly into her eyes.
"And so what? I'm not your mother to warn you about things!" Rogue replied, completely irrational to the question.
Samira sighed, and a vein appeared on her forehead; she wanted a fight, and it seemed Rogue was ready to give her one.
The sounds of the environment stopped completely, unlike before when everyone knew Samira was there for something... Now it was complicated...
"Hey, let's calm down, okay?" Jhonatan, sensing the mood, quickly tried to calm the environment, but it was too late...
"Shut up." They both said in unison, making Jhonatan step back a little; they looked like two demons wanting to possess his soul.
The atmosphere between them... seemed about to catch fire.
"You left." Rogue said, looking deep into Samira's eyes.
The blue of both their eyes met as if two tropical seas were clashing; both were fiery women, not because they were attractive and beautiful to all men, but because they were hot-tempered, women who didn't take disrespect and were extremely explosive...
But this intensified more when they were... Friends.
"And you didn't believe me." Samira said, cutting through the air with her words.
Rogue's gaze wavered slightly but kept her angry posture as she moved closer to Samira, who did the same.
The two continued to approach, the space between them shrinking rapidly, almost as if the air was condensing under the pressure of their auras.
Each step seemed like they were challenging each other; one misstep and a fierce fight would explode.
Samira felt the heat of anger rising in her body, and Rogue was no different, feeling the electricity in the air, her senses sharpening, every fiber of her body alert, just waiting for the first attack to come.
Rogue stopped inches from Samira, their breaths even mingling in the air. The surroundings didn't matter to them; the heavy silence was as if the bar itself was holding its breath in anticipation of what would come next.
"You always do this." Samira continued, "Make decisions for me, leave me in the dark, as if I couldn't handle my problems." She said, staring harshly at her.
Rogue narrowed her eyes, her muscles tense as she held Samira's gaze.
"I did what I thought was best. I..."
"You exiled me from the city; you think you know what's best for me? I went hungry for two months, Rogue." Samira interrupted, her tone rising, anger almost spilling from her body.
"You don't know anything, Rogue!" She shouted as she threw one of the beer glasses on the floor. "I was exiled for something I didn't do, but you... Didn't even tell me you had resolved it?" She asked, very angrily.
Just because Strax wasn't in the scene, Samira was completely unleashed... She didn't care how she acted, whether she acted well or poorly; she just wanted to smash that woman's face right now.
What Samira came here to do? Screw it.
She didn't care about that shit anymore. She knew he would find a way without her.
"And you always think you can handle everything alone, as if the whole world had to revolve around your ego!" Rogue retorted, just as furious, but with a noticeable bitter tone that betrayed her frustration. "I just wanted to help." Rogue finished.
"Are you listening to yourself, Rogue?!" Samira screamed even louder, "Do you hear the crap you're saying?!" She shouted again as she used her finger to jab Rogue's chest, almost like a knife. "You made me leave the city because you couldn't believe in my innocence." Her finger pointing at Rogue was trembling with the intensity of her emotion; anger had possessed her...
But for her... It was complicated dealing with a Demi-human...
Despite both having the same level of cultivation, demi-humans had a clear advantage depending on their lineage and race. Rogue was a cheetah.
So... Her reflexes and speed greatly surpassed Samira's.
Rogue continued to evade Samira's most devastating attacks, but every time Samira managed to land a blow, the impact was monstrous.
On the other hand, Rogue's kicks and punches, although less powerful, were fast and precise, targeting vulnerable points on Samira's body.
"I already said, come here." Samira repeated, and finally, after an intense exchange of blows, Samira managed to grab Rogue by the arm and, with a powerful move, threw her against a solid wall, completely deforming it.
"Ugh... ahh..." Rogue gasped, trying to catch her breath, but Samira was already on top of her, ready for the final blow.
But something in Samira hesitated.
As furious as she was, there was a part of her that remembered that Rogue, despite everything, was still her friend, someone she had once trusted more than anyone else.
Her fists trembled as she looked at Rogue, who, even injured, still held that defiant gaze.
Samira's hesitation... cost dearly...
Rogue made a sudden move, grabbing Samira's waist and using all the strength she had left to pull her down.
The two fell to the ground with a sharp impact, each struggling for an advantage.
The cold, rough floor scraped against Samira's back as she fought to free herself, but Rogue kept her pinned, their arms and legs entangled in a desperate struggle.
Both were exhausted, their bodies already feeling the weight of the exchanged blows.
"Your hand has gotten heavier..." Rogue murmured, a tired smile forming on her wounded lips.
"And you're still too fast..." Samira replied, breathing heavily as she tried to free herself from Rogue's grip.
"You never knew when to stop, did you?" Samira said, a slight tone of frustration in her voice, but also something softer, almost nostalgic.
"And you were always too stubborn to give up," Rogue replied, her smile widening slightly despite the evident pain in her eyes.
Samira let out a heavy sigh, the emotional exhaustion starting to weigh more than the physical. She knew she could end the fight right there, with a single well-placed blow, but what would really end? Themselves? What was left of their friendship?
Samira's eyes softened for a moment, and she loosened her grip on Rogue, allowing them both to breathe a little easier. "Why do we always end up like this, Rogue?"
"Because we're too stubborn to admit we still need each other." Rogue said, releasing her grip and falling back...
"Damn... that hurts."
"Like hell..."
"So what's this about you having a husband?"
"It's a long story."
"Beer?"
"Up to you."
