When I parked my car in the garage, Akane seemed to have regained consciousness, though only vaguely and was shuddering as she stared at me with my face concealed. It was understandable given the sudden abduction by a stranger.

Only our eyes could meet because my face was covered, and she tentatively asked, Why arent you saying anything?

I did not answer Akanes question at all. After all, answering was no longer a necessity.

Akane denied my words at that time. Since I already established that Akane could not grasp my words, neither did I need to listen to her questions, nor did I need to give her answers.

I did not need Akanes empathy or concurrence. All I had to do was to fulfill my role in an unassuming and ruthless manner.
