Chapter 21: World Settings; Gregaaze the Fire Dragon King 1
AN: sorry for the break, got really crammed irl and couldn't make time to write. But we are continuing!
As Star traversed the globe, Jay continued to explore all the small options he could utilize for the planet. Currently Sol was cooking dinner for everyone who was still on the planet, which was broccoli and cheese casserole, a favorite meal of Jay's that he had requested as he had not eaten his wife's casserole in many years.
As the scent of food slowly started to get stronger, Jay realized he had found a "hidden" control panel. Technically you could always get to it and Jay could directly call this specific interface now that he knew its name, however it was about 8 layers of control panel folders deep. Way down in the directory, so far in fact that Jay wondered if he had found an Easter egg of some kind.
[Planet Stabilization Time Table Protocols]
This was the name of the control panel in question and it was a rather inconspicuous name but as Jay looked up what this panel did with his godly knowledge bank, he realized how extremely important this setting could be.
First off, this was a settings panel that controlled natural disasters that will occur seasonally or on a time basis like the Volcano timers Jay had set before. Second, was atmospheric condition and gravity, and this one would let the user change these settings and the system would try its best to stabilize the planet to the new specifications, however too much change could kill sentient and non sentient creatures who can't adapt to the change. Third, and most important was a time table to set when the change should occur and could have specifications tailored to increase or decrease at certain milestones.
Jay looked at all the options in front of him and started to salivate at the possibilities. It was true that he was trying to make a fantasy world and there would be a lot of death to make that happen. However, Jay wanted his people to be stronger with every generation and so came up with an idea.
Jay started giving commands to the panel,"Control Panel, set condition [Raise Gravity (0.002%)] every new [Race:Human] generation. Set condition [Raise Gravity: (0.05%)] when average power level of [Planet Wide General Population] exceeds 10% of lower power levels. Set condition [Raise atmospheric pressure (0.5%)] when at least 1 of [All Sentient Race on Planet] have reached first power threshold. Set condition [Raise atmospheric energy (2%) when 1 of [All Sentient Race on Planet] have reached first power threshold. Set condition [Raise Mutation Pressure (20%)] when [Race: Any] have reached and achieved new power threshold."
The last one Jay put in there was hidden condition effect within this hidden program. There was barely information pertaining to it, only a few short sentences explaining that it just made non sentient creatures evolve into stronger beasts and made it possible for them to ascend in power over time, but at much slower pace than sentients.
Jay was content with setup and went to go speak with Sol about something while letting the world spin. n(-OVelb1n
Little did Jay know that this simple action of slowly raising the conditions would actually turn into one of his greatest gifts to the future descendants of the planet. After all, it is a very big universe and he was only 1 God and 1 planet, who knows what the future will gold?

Back on the planet, an incident was about to unfold that would shake the world. It had been nearly 2 generations since Jay had set that rule and time was still progressing further along.
Even though the creatures on the planet could tell that things were slowly getting more difficult for them, most attribute it to aging or injury, so there were no alarm bells ringing just yet.
In the depths of the of the draconic valleys and mountains ruled by the western styled dragons a young Gregaaze, a red patterned dragon child who was only around 60 years of age played with another dragon child, who was a blue patterned dragon child at about 70 years of age. Dragons mature explosively to children and then take around 180 to 250 years to slowly mature into young adults, where they may leave and claim a hunting ground for their very own. So these two were actually really close in age, at least in dragon terms.
This other child just so happened to be Stelara. Stelara had a godly ability to appear as a child of the race she is playing with, so no one even had a suspicion of her. However her name did intuitively change when it came to different races. Right now her name was Stelaaze, which was her name plus the red patterned dragons 'lineage' name, which was "AAZE". This simply allowed her to seamlessly merge into the folds without anyone noticing.
She has been playing with Gregaaze for days now as both children had extreme amounts of energy to burn and the adults were MORE than willing let them do so. Their sanity could only tolerate so much.
However this proved to be an oversight, because even though dragons even at the young adults stage, we're very powerful, Dragon children needed time to grow and were not strong enough to fend for themselves. In most cases they are taught to hunt only 10 years before expecting to become a young adult dragon, though it is through very controlled conditions.
Stelaaze and Gregaaze were playing together, chasing one another as they played a furious game of tag. Then Gregaaze stopped suddenly and Stelaaze ran up while he was stopped and slapped his shoulder and yelled,"You're it!"
Gregaaze didn't respond, and simply stared in fear as he looked at a seemingly empty part of the forest.
Stelaaze looked and didn't see what he saw, until a tiger that was about 3 times it's normal size slowly stalked its way out of the woods and stared a hole into Stelaaze as it salivated in anticipation.
