Chapter 2036: Helpful Beauties

Perhaps encouraged by Zestria’s actions, Bylai also bit him while tightly holding his right arm.

Davis languidly smiled as he felt sandwiched between Zestria and Bylai’s big breasts. Those twin peaks of theirs wouldn’t lose to Isabella’s, making him daydream of what he spoke just a while ago.

While he was daydreaming, Zestria and Bylai’s cheeks were blushing in embarrassment as they looked at each other.

In their eyes was a peculiar glint of shyness.

Should they reveal that it was quite normal for their family’s women to wait upon their man together although they were exempted from that unspoken rule because they were Dragon Queens?

They pursed their lips, not wanting to dwell to that location at this point as they looked away, their cheeks blushing more before they showed that embarrassment at Davis, gnawing his arms more fiercely from both sides.

‘What are they doing…?’

Natalya and the others didn’t know what they were watching, their husband looking fortunate while being gnawed by two women.

“Zestria, Bylai. Why waste time here? If you want to eat him, go eat him above a bed. I’ll cheer you two on!” Fiora jumped, her expression appearing evil.

“Ah!”

Fiora’s words had the opposite effect as they let Davis go, looking like they had been caught doing something perverse.

Having lost that supple feeling of grandness, Davis returned to reality, his expression looking like he had lost something important.

At this moment, Lea made her way from the outside, looking at the people gathered. The moment her eyes landed on Davis, her eyes lit up before a sweet smile appeared behind her veil.

“Davis, you’re awake. Just now, I finished scouting the outskirts of the Alstreim Family Territory and didn’t find anything strange.”

“Oh! Thank you, Lea. Your help is much appreciated.”

Davis caught Lea’s hands, looking at her with a thankful smile.

His smile was infective, causing Lea to want to kiss him, but she suddenly noticed two teeth marks on his robe plastered with some saliva before looking at the two Dragon Queens. Instantly, her crimson lips curved into an amused smile, making her look mature.

She didn’t know what he said to incur the wrath of the two Dragon Queens but felt that it was well deserved.

“You need to be grounded for making all of us worry. What if something happened to you?” However, she couldn’t even maintain her blaming tone by the end, causing Davis to hold her hands dearly.

“I crave my current life with you all to make foolish decisions, so you don’t need to worry about that.”

“Liar…”

Lea slightly pouted, not finding any lies in his words, but with the precedence of him sacrificing himself, she didn’t have the confidence that he would try to stay alive if they, his women, were in danger.

“And, don’t worry about the things you did. I’ve been alive for many years, and the amount of powers that disappeared overnight in my eyes numbers in the hundreds. It’s not worth mulling over. I would’ve made the same decision if it were to protect my Burning Phoenix Ridge, so what’s important is that you protected everyone important to you, understand?”

Davis looked at Lea, who was consoling him while his eyes were blinking innocently.

The Sect Master who tried to determine whether he was righteous or evil along with Ancestor Cornelia back then was now completely on his side, possessing an unwavering belief in his actions. That alone couldn’t help but make him feel that he was fortunate to have such understanding women.

He leaned his face closer, wanting to kiss her, when he suddenly turned to look towards the inner zone.

A figure rushed past everyone else and jumped into his embrace, causing him to raise his hands. That figure trembled while tightly holding him, causing his stunned expression to turn into one of satisfaction as he stroked that figure’s head, brushing their silky blonde hair.

He had seen and heard what had happened through his connection with Evelynn. Therefore, no explanation was needed for him to know about Niera.

It was a while before Niera raised her head to look at his face, her face full of tears while her eyes were red.

“Stop crying.” Davis wiped her tears with his fingers, “Look, it’s ruining your beauty.”

Niera bit her lips, trembling in his grasp as she sobbed.

“I’m sorry… I didn’t have any… face… left to see you… I was afraid that if I had said something, you would abandon… the Alstreim Family because it’s an unneeded burden…”

“It’s not an unneeded burden.” Davis shook his head, “It’s my mother’s family, and the Alstreim Family follows me without questioning my actions. How can I say they’re a burden? The two Ancestors are determined to follow me to death, so how could I leave them without fully entrenching their defenses?”

Davis poked Niera’s nose, causing her to embarrassedly pout. Perhaps, she had been too afraid before that Davis’s gentle now cleared all her fears, causing her to cry as she smiled.

“Ah, you’re crying again.” Davis shook his head, “You’ve become ugly now.”

“Scoundrel! You’re the one who’s ugly!” Niera beat his chest as she flailed, looking aggrieved before she bit his chest.

“…”

Davis blinked. What’s going on? Wasn’t he getting bitten a lot today? Did he smell that good? Or were they just sneakily leaving their mark on him?

He felt that he should research some dual cultivation books for this matter. Nonetheless, he pushed her back and grabbed her chin, looking solemn.

“Still, you are too arrogant, thinking that you can protect everyone at your little age, thinking of taking responsibility for the trouble I caused. Who do you think you are?”

“You said we are all equals in status.” Niera meekly spoke, pouting, “If we are truly equals, then I should hold myself up to your level without anyone pointing it out for me.”

“…” Davis became speechless.

He wanted to say that she was twisting his logic. However, there were no words that came out of his mouth. Not only him but everyone else was speechless as well.

The next moment, flames ignited in their hearts.

Just because they obtained a good life didn’t mean that they had to take their cultivation and responsibilities easier. The intent of having to work hard even more burned within their eyes. The atmosphere was rather infective that even Evelynn and Lea looked solemn enough to raise their strengths as quickly as possible.

‘Oye. At this rate, my women might seclude themselves…!’

Davis inwardly sweat buckets. What about his daydreams turning to reality? Did he have no choice but to abandon them?

‘I have no choice. It’s all for the greater good in the end.’ Davis raised his head and closed his eyes, his lips downturned.

“You look like you made some great sacrifice just now but whatever.” Evelynn giggled before she panned her gaze, “Everyone, listen…”

Evelynn explained what she had told Niera and Sophie before, causing their eyes to widen in shock before their faces became relived, their eyes slightly tearing up as they looked at Davis.

Clearly, that matter also weighed on them all a bit. After all, killing children, whatever the reason, couldn’t be justified. They all knew it as well, knowing he had done it for the Alstreim Family’s survival. That’s why Niera also took that mess upon herself.

Now that they knew that he had left many children alive, they became proud of him. When it comes to the survival of powers, it was not an easy decision to make as the best decision is to eradicate them all.

Evelynn lightly smiled before she turned around and started to walk away.

“I’ll go look for Tanya and Dalila…”

However, she stopped as a hand grabbed her shoulder, causing her to look back.

“Evelynn, I changed my mind,” Davis uttered with narrowed eyes.

“They must have their own reasons for not being able to see me in the eyes. Let them resolve the knot themselves. I can wait.”

Evelynn narrowed her brows, appearing disagreeable.

“Those two are inexperienced and lost. Tanya didn’t even leave her sect until a while ago-“

“Big sister, leave Dalila to me.” Sophie raised her hand, interrupting their conversation. I forcefully brought her to Davis, so it’s my responsibility in case anything happens.”

“In that case, I’ll take care of Tanya, my dear friend who is now one of my treasured sisters.” Natalya also took a step forward, “Can’t have her treading a wrong path, although I’m sure she will not be in closed doors any longer since she’s following the path of the sword.”

“There’s no need for that, Natalya.”

A female voice echoed from the hallway, causing Natalya’s lips to curve into a wide smile.
