Chapter 2635 Converging Near The Core
Davis recounted the number of corpses once again, wondering if he really did make that much.
He first owed Myria 200,000 contribution points, and he took another loan, so altogether, he owed her 500,000 contribution points.
That seemed a lot just a few days ago, but now, it was nothing, as he made 13,600,000 contribution points just like that.
He went to Myria, about to give her two hundred and fifty of those Unfettered Ice Fiend carcasses. However, he saw Rea Tyriel cupping her hands and bowing toward Myria.
"And… she gains another disciple…"
Davis wryly shook his head. However, he understood that there was no way that Rea Tyriel would bow for just some teaching advice.
He appeared before Myria and asked, "What? You know how to deal with her Glazed Light Soul Physique?"
Myria watched Rea Tyriel take her leave and head deeper before she turned to look at Davis, her eyes squinting as though smiling.
"Of course."
"I don't know what exactly in this world that you don't know about." Davis could only wryly shake his head, causing Myria to tremble lightly as though she was silently laughing.
"I only know what I know. In truth, Ellia should know this too. I dealt with a person who possessed the Glazed Light Soul Physique and rectified her cultivation before. She was far stronger than this fledgling. By now, if that person is still alive, I bet she must've surpassed Immortal Emperor Stage."
"Ah, so it's an opportunity missed." Davis pursed his lips.
Myria knew many physiques but considering that she had been a Saintess, it was understandable that many people with strange and unexplored physiques would come to her to understand more about it as she could investigate it for them or even help them explore it by constantly healing them.
Such was the wonder of those who possessed Life Laws, and Davis was no stranger to it. Because he possessed life energy, he didn't shy away from learning dangerous techniques that cause more self-harm than allow one to get stronger in the initial phase. Such was their usefulness.
Still, he didn't want to use Ellia's knowledge for this as she was already doing so much for him. In fact, he believed that she came to understand more about Tina's Four Elements Physique than Myria knew as she took care of Tina personally. That was how much she was dedicated to helping her sisters.
He had just left her safely with Nadia but was wondering what she was doing already, imagining if she got Natalya and Iesha under her lovely spell. If left alone, he knew that she always wanted to do something for others, but mainly something that made him smile.
"So… you would've helped so many people in back then. That person didn't help you?"
"No, she turned against me."
"…" Davis blinked as he saw her eyes turn cold.
"People are only after benefits, and that is even more visible in cultivators than mortals. Unfortunately, the Saintess was none the wiser at that time."
Myria gently sighed and flew into the distance.
'Didn't you tell me not to call you Saintess…?'
Davis thought, but he didn't aggravate her and continued forwards. However, he came to a stop and looked behind as his brows frowned. His frown turned into a light smile as he saw Mystic Diviner Hailac appear, causing him to release a bit of his undulations.>
"Oh, there you are. Wait for me~"
Her lovely voice echoed from the distance as she rushed towards him.
"Good, you already have blood from Level Three Immortal King Unfettered Ice Fiends from your own hunt and the one I killed, which was Level Four Immortal King, right?"
"Yes."
Mystic Diviner Hailac nodded, causing Davis to smile. It was going to be easier to end their lives with karmic attacks for Mystic Diviner Hailac. However…
"Don't overuse your energy. Not everyone will run to the forefront to protect you."
"I understand."
Mystic Diviner Hailac nodded as she gazed around. Judging by the remnant undulations, she could feel that there an intense battle went on. This place stunk with the icy aura of the Unfettered Ice Fiends.
They proceeded to catch up to the party ahead, but suddenly, they crossed an intersection, but this time, there were multiple tunnels cutting into this location.
*Puchi!~*
A sword light flashed through the tunnel and cut apart many Unfettered Ice Fiends into symmetrical slices that elegantly slid from the Unfettered Ice Fiends' bodies, causing Davis to blink at the level of art created.
Just as Davis thought it was Niel Bladeheart, he saw that it was a golden-robed man. He possessed blonde hair that flowed freely behind him and possessed golden eyes that shone with a majestic light.
Instantly, Davis recognized this person from his features. Ranked second in the True Disciple Immortal Rankings, Garoe Rynn. A sword cultivator whose prowess couldn't be verified by anyone, not even the first-ranked disciple, or so he heard. Considering that the first-ranked was usually in a realm above the second-ranked when seen generally, this was something to brag about.
He casually strode towards the intersection, and their gazes met when suddenly Davis felt himself enter the other party's killing range. Garoe Rynn's gaze was so sharp that Davis could feel it cutting into his will, but it just caused him to scoff as he narrowed his eyes.
A deathly and ominous intent unexperienced by the living world encased into his gaze as it shot directly towards Garoe Rynn, causing him to tremble ever so lightly. His eyes went slightly wide before he cupped his hands, his lips lightly curling.
"Greetings, fellow heaven immortal. You must be the Emperor of Death."
"Indeed." Davis responded with the same gesture, "I can see that your prowess is terrifying."
"I'd like to think so too, but… I hate to admit that we both don't compare to him."
Garoe Rynn turned to look to another tunnel where an azure-robed individual made his way. He possessed blue hair, and his vindictive and handsome facial features made him appear like an unruly dragon.
Davis squinted his eyes at the first ranked true disciple of the Aurora Cloud Gate, but he didn't retort Garoe Rynn's words as he knew exactly what he was talking about and why it relatively made sense.
The first-ranked true disciple appeared before them. However, he didn't even look at them. Instead, his footsteps even hastened, going straight towards Myria and Rea Tyriel. But, his gaze was on Rea Tyriel, appearing to be delighted to see her as he possessed a blatant smile on his face.
