Haijin Minn suddenly couldn't help but think. This name rang a bell in his mind, but for some reason, he couldn't find where he had heard it from, perhaps thinking he had heard it in his Minn Family's Province.
Nonetheless, with how superb and powerful of a cultivator Mo Tian was, he imagined that he heard his name from hearsay.
But suddenly, an arm wrapped around his shoulder, causing him to turn to look at a golden-robed person.
"Heard you were part of the Aurora Cloud Gate. Mind recommending me there?"
Drake asked with a solemn glint in his eyes, causing Haijin Minn's heart to shake as he knew this person was a friend of the Emperor of Death from what he had heard. Moreover, he could also sense a similar power emerging from Drake, one that was more bright and overwhelming than his own ominous yang energy.
Nonetheless, as the confusion started becoming clear, the alliance members began slowly accepting this result.
However, Mo Tian's voting power was reduced to 2 since Minn Family had 2 votes to use.
But he didn't back down and argued that the Blazing Thunderlight Sect was a provincial power and so needed him to have the same voting power as them, which was nine!
However, the elders weren't going to let him have such power, stating that the Blazing Thunderlight Sect was considered a major power since there was an immortal inheritor with them. This flabbergasted Davis and a few others.
These elders were manipulating the narrative of which powers could be considered major or provincial powers as they pleased, but what could he do?
He was just an Immortal Stage Cultivator. There was no way that he could demand justice. However, he didn't particularly care much as this disguise of his could come off at any time.
Even now, he could see Alchemist Shaiya Minn in the crowd, occasionally casting glances at him. He felt like she knew he was Dead End somehow. After all, he had went and made an impression on her when infiltrating the Minn Family in order to assassinate Haijin Minn.
However, he also felt that this shouldn't be possible as Haijin Minn shouldn't even know that Dead End targeted him for sure, so why would he go around saying that he was targeted by Dead End?
It just didn't make sense, also leaving him wondering if Alchemist Shaiya Minn was interested in him. Perhaps, she was regretting that she didn't take him in as a disciple when she had the chance but even on the off chance she knew that he was Dead End, he didn't care as long as she stayed quiet.
She had no reason to offend him.
'Oh shit… she's now approaching me…'
Davis kept talking with the leaders when he noticed Alchemist Shaiya Minn walking towards him from the corner of his eyes. However, a loud voice resounded at this moment, causing everyone to become silent or stop in their tracks.
"Everyone, now that the leader of this alliance has been revealed..."
Patriarch Yinakin Zyrus started, his voice forceful, "… it is time for us to reveal the name of this alliance, which will be displayed by the Alliance Leader himself."
He gestured to the Starlight Jade Wolf King with a smiling expression, but everyone could see that it was a bit forced, causing them to laugh inwardly.
Nonetheless, the Starlight Jade Wolf King rose to the occasion as he landed on the stage, pulling forth the curtain out of a huge pillar.
[Central Primesky Alliance]
"Woahhh!!!"
The crowd began to cheer as they witnessed their new alliance name etched on the huge pillar as well as the names of their powers. Moreover, the name had significance as they were all indeed mostly from the central part of the First Haven World as their powers were located near the Ascendance Monuments. Only the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan was far away from the others, but it was still considered central when viewing the entire First Haven World.
"It's not a great name, but it's not bad either."
The Lumin Family Patriarch commented, causing Davis to nod as well.
At least, this was a name they could all agree on, as if it were named the Cyan Sky Alliance, it wouldn't go well as it would put the Cyan Soul Rat Clan on the pedestal. When different kinds of powers were involved, the safer bet was to always go with the name of the region they were in.
The Zyrus Family Patriarch gave further instructions and information about this huge pillar that would act as relays capable of spatial transportation between each power as well as give them more stable means of communication.
The twenty-seven powers were in agreement with this arrangement. After all, if one member can't get to another member's location within the alliance in time, why bother with making the alliance?
Although this wouldn't usually be the case in peaceful times due to security risks, when there was a bigger threat than their alliance member turning on them, it was needed more than a trusted but weak ally.
Nonetheless, the briefing about the new alliance and the ins and outs took a long time to be settled as everyone participated in clearing up the veil over do's and don'ts.
Davis also listened, but it was getting entirely boring for him. If it weren't for possessing voting powers, he would've left already and spent some time with Fiora, whom he missed.
Still, when it approached the night, people began leaving, and so did he with the Golden Crow Clan's Patriarch, who should be leaving on time or wouldn't be making it to the banquet. He excused himself, but the Starlight Jade Wolf King had to stay as he had become the alliance leader.
However, the Starlight Jade Wolf King did indeed say that he would visit later, but he didn't send him without company as he forcefully sent an elder and the twins with him, leaving Davis no choice but to accept it.
Soon, they boarded the Golden Crow Clan's battleship, which was a glorious construct shaped like Three-Legged Golden Crow.
'Sigh… in the end… I wasn't able to assassinate a single person...'
Davis looked at the disappearing sight of the Grand Zyrus Family and shook his head. He came for one thing but was caught up in another.
However, he didn't worry much as he still had a lot of time to kill them. The only matter he was concerned about now was the Fire Phoenix Clan and Earth Dragon Clan's banquet, imagining that his women should sooner or later also leave the Aurora Cloud Gate.
He worriedly wondered how they were feeling after his 'death'. After all, their memories could've been temporarily tampered with by Ellia to give more authenticity to his story.
He felt conflicted by her actions, but since even users with Enigmatic Heart Intent appeared to check on them, he also felt like he had to praise Ellia on that one but still couldn't decide if it was the right move, whether it was worth it or not.
Turning to look around, he saw the Golden Crow Clan's Patriarch smiling at him and personally taking him to his accommodation.
