Myria looked at his solemn expression. She had rarely seen him be like this and knew that this certainly wasn't a time when he would tolerate any kind of offense. Even without his expression, his eerily calm aura that seemed to be ready to be unleashed spoke volumes.
Still, she didn't seem disturbed, but her brows frowned slightly, "Did the Apocalyptic Flame Essence die?"
"I don't know. I didn't leave a soul mark on it because I was worried about more karmic burden falling on it."
Davis shook his head.
Lea clenched her teeth when she heard Davis's response. Due to the Apocalyptic Flame Essence being extremely powerful, far surpassing the Immortal Emperor Stage, she was unable to place her soul mark on it as it would just passively erase it.
Otherwise, she would've marked it as well, as she wasn't that bothered when it came to karmic burden.
Myria looked away, her gaze solemn yet profound amidst the overwhelming silence.
"I don't know what entails the heavenly tribulation for a lifeform that is trying to cross to the Empyrean Stage or a similar level..."
Hearing her answer, Davis didn't frown. He knew that it was normal as everything above the Immortal Emperor Stage would be shrouded in secret. Heck, even the Immortal Emperor Stage's unique tribulation was hidden from the world. It could be known but could only be spoken lightly, gestured, and understood, so what needs to be said about the Empyrean Stage's unique tribulation?
Regardless, he was about to explain what happened to the Apocalyptic Flame Essence through soul transmission as he and Myria couldn't give a single damn about this kind of karmic burden at their level. However, he saw her continue.
"However, there's a rumor, or perhaps, an ancient saying that goes like this when it comes to anarchic beings who undergo the Empyrean Stage Heavenly Tribulation. I managed to come across it when I encountered another anarchic being who relayed this warning to me, although they died in their Immortal Emperor Tribulation."
"What is it?" Davis narrowed his brows, causing Myria to sigh lightly.
"In the myriad cosmos of the universe, when an anarchist aspires to fully forsake their mortal coil, their existence teetering on the precipice of life and death, an unforgiving force descends and seeks to cast the audacious soul to a fate of banishment."
"..."
Davis's gaze shook as he heard her words.
Myria paused as she watched his reaction, letting him take in the information before speaking again.
"As I said, I don't know what entails such a tribulation, but from what is said, I can presume that if an anarchic being fails in this tribulation, then they would no longer be present in this universe, perhaps not even the reincarnation cycle."
"...!"
Davis's gaze shook.
Not even the reincarnation cycle?
"So you're telling me the Apocalyptic Flame Essence could've been banished out of the universe...?"
The Apocalyptic Flame Essence was indeed an anarchic existence since it summoned an Annihilative Heavenly Tribulation. Davis didn't have any doubt over that part.
"We can only speculate." Myria's voice sounded unsure, "This tribulation... I presume if the heavenly tribulation can't kill an anarchic existence, it banishes them to the void outside the Three-Layered Universe with all its force, so your Apocalyptic Flame Essence might not be killed if you didn't see it dying..."
Myria stopped as her eyes flashed, "Perhaps the World Master might know more about it..."
"..."
Davis's gaze flickered.
Did that mean that the Apocalyptic Flame Essence wasn't crushed but sent out of the universe? But that doesn't also equal death?
Just the subsequent layers of space were dense and heavy, sometimes even filled with spatial storms, so he could not imagine what it was like outside the Three-Layered Universe, imagining the worst he could possibly imagine.
Moreover, what did Myria mean that the World Master might know more about it?
'Could it be that the World Master was banished once but made it back inside...?'
Davis felt a sense of heaviness as he speculated. Perhaps there was a chance that his Apocalyptic Flame Essence was still alive somewhere outside the universe, but what are the chances that it could return by itself or he becomes strong enough to bring it back?
Evidently, the answer he arrived at was that it was dead, as there was not enough time for him to grow strong or for it to endure the void.
Davis raised his hand, wanting to punch somebody or perhaps himself. He trembled, suppressing his fury as he dropped his hands.
"Don't try reviving it."
Myria suddenly warned through soul transmission, causing Davis to nod his head.
"I know."
However, he raised his head, seemingly shouting at the skies.
"If you're there, do what I need. I'll owe you more than once."
His voice resounded with tumultuous undulations, causing everyone to shudder as this voice was packed with such powerful soul force, making their brains tremble.
Myria's gaze also flickered.
Was he trying to make the World Master move for him?
'Impossible...' She thought.
However, she could feel his anger, knowing that he felt guilty for destroying a life that he created. It made her remember her own failures of the value she held to life when she had just left her home after the disastrous chapter of her life she wanted to forget badly, causing her to remember how Davis held her close when she broke down that day.
"Don't feel guilty. We're the same..."
Her lips moved, and she reached out her hand towards his forehead.
This action of hers stunned the others, even making Sophie and the others smile as they could finally see her become one with them as she was caring about Davis, wanting to comfort him.
However, Davis stood there stunned as he felt the seal on his memories fade away, restoring the events he experienced with Myria and the indirect kiss she gave him while she blocked his lips with her palm.
But unbeknown to them, there was a white-robed figure hovering thousands of kilometers in the air.
They weren't necessarily looking down but still listening to the things going down. However, their focus was above, their gaze seeing through the innumerable clouds, the layer of the protective realm and the barrier that they cast, looking at the latter reform while thousands of Immortal Emperors tried to descend into this realm after the Annihilative Heavenly Tribulation left.
"So troublesome..."
A sigh escaped from their mouth as though they were exhausted, but they still clasped their hands and sealed the realm when a plethora of unbelievably powerful attacks fell on the barrier. But then, they turned their head toward a direction, looking at an entity millions of kilometers away, bursting into a human-like figure while blazing with purplish-black flames.
"To think she managed to save herself from being ousted... interesting..."
