Chapter 3180 Comparing Strength

Name:Divine Emperor of Death Author:

The air was a bit misty, and the mountain peaks stood tall as though watching over tens of heavenly geniuses gathered before them. Despite the mist, the air was thick with anticipation, but the moment their eyes fluttered once, they missed it.

*Booom!~*

The foggy atmosphere suddenly cleared with the clash of two men, sending the sphere blockade flying a bit.

"What power!"

Pence Atlas was visibly moved as he saw what was supposed to be unstoppable in anyone's eyes, a direct hit from Rath Heavenshade, was not caught by a palm from the so-called Emperor of Death. Within that purple-robed man's sapphire eyes, there was grace and confidence, his hand not even trembling despite embracing the brunt of Rath Heavenshade's Azure Dragon Fist.

The other Azure Dragon Upper Realm's Empyreal Monarch was also visibly astonished.

The others also didn't know what to say as they knew this fist would send them flying, causing critical injuries if they received a direct hit. Even if they tried to catch it, the only thing that was stopping would be their hearts as their heart might be thrown as their shoulder explodes from the impact.

They might survive, but at what cost? They wouldn't even try to catch that fist but dodge or deflect with energy with all they can.

"..."

Rath Heavenshade's eyes were wide, unable to believe his raw prowess imbued with his kingly aura was stopped just like that, but his eyes relaxed, causing him to flick his hand from the Emperor of Death's grasp and retreat ten meters away.

"Not bad. My little sister wasn't kidding when she said that you toyed with her."

"Hey, you make it sound bad..."

Davis raised one of his brows, causing Rath Heavenshade's smile to fade before he shook his head.

"My apologies. I'm not good with words."

He smiled again, his eyes flashing, "I have never seen an immortal as powerful as you. If you weren't an Anarchic Divergent, I would treat you as a rival, but you are a target that anyone who cares for the innocent should kill. That is a problem..."

Davis couldn't help but smile, but before he could speak, a furious voice echoed out.

"Rath! Are you insane? You're dealing with an Anarchic Divergent. Promises mean nothing to him, and he will backstab you in an instant. Stop playing around and kill him."

Davis turned to look and saw that it was the other Empyreal Monarch from the Azure Dragon Upper Realm. Suddenly, he remembered something.

"That's right. Which one of you killed Orion Chestwave?"

"I was the one who killed him, but what does that have to do with you?" scoffed that Empyreal Monarch, causing Davis to shrug.

"Nothing. That man was an arrogant prick, but he still belonged to the sect I was in previously, and I owe them a bit, so I merely thought I could teach his killer a lesson."

"Ha! As if-"

"That's enough." Rath Heavenshade waved his hand, "Warm up is over. There will be no talking from now on, so it's best if you could hand over the Celestial Luminescence Pill before you get hurt. If you give it, I can assure you that you can leave this place safely along with your people back there in the valley as we turn a blind eye to your presence. If not- you can suffer the consequences."

Davis raised his hand, rubbing his chin as he smiled.

"I'm an avid advocate for consequences. It's a pity that I gave my word to your little sister that I won't beat you up badly."

"Heh! We'll see who beats up who badly."

Rath Heavenshade took a step forward, causing the air to tremble in his wake before he shot forward. He broke past the speed of sound of the third layer and even caused the fabric of space to tear, appearing to use his full force as flames bloomed over his body, concentrating on his fists.

*Bang!~*

Davis punched out, and their fists connected again, causing Davis's gaze to flicker as he felt his fist tremble.

"Good punch!"

*Bang!~* *Bang!~* *Bang!~*

Just as Davis dropped praise, their fists moved like lightning, engaged in a breathtaking flurry of fists that left the onlookers spellbound. Their fists moved like the rapid strikes of a thousand drumbeats flowing out like a symphony of martial prowess, making any man who saw this scene fascinated as it was in man's nature to determine who was the strongest in physical brawn.

Even the scholarly geniuses who were looking at this spectacle had their hearts racing as they saw the manly exchange.

A lightning-quick jab traversed towards the Emperor of Death's chin as Rath Heavenshade's fist cut through the air like a comet. However, the former responded with an equally swift strike, their fists colliding with a resonating boom.

Not a single area of their body was hit, every fist meeting a fist, every palm meeting a palm, and every piercing finger parried by another finger, leaving a trail of fire energy as they parted and rammed. Their hand shape constantly changed, trying to get one over the other, but they seemed to be equally matched, continuing to circle around to see through a weak spot or get through the blind spot.

'Fuck...'

Davis actually felt overwhelmed, knowing that his martial arts skill was lacking compared to Rath Heavenshade. Although his physical prowess didn't lose out, the other party wasn't a brute force idiot either, using both yin and yang type attacks to make his attacks crumble.

Nonetheless, their dangerous dance didn't stop there.

Their fists were a blur of motion, and it only grew worse as they hastened their speed, exchanging a series of rapid punches and parries, echoing the skies with bone-crushing sounds that would chill the hearts of any person.

*Bang!*

Davis kicked first, his feet traversing at incredible speed towards Rath Heavenshade's head, but the latter crouched, causing his kick to miss while Rath Heavenshade returned a kick, heading straight towards the former's solar plexus where the dantian laid.

However, Davis was back in position again, allowing him to raise his knee and clash with the kick.n).O./v-.e./l.)B(/I)-n

*Booom!*

A reverberating boom echoed as they created a shockwave, causing the onlookers to be forced back again.

"Rarghhh!!!"

Rath Heavenshade raised a war cry as the sound of a dragon cry also emanated, swiftly spreading across the area as it caused many souls to shudder, but his pupils dilated as he saw that the Emperor of Death was still unaffected, continuing to exchange the flurry of fists as though he didn't need to endure his aura at all.

Soon enough, their fists and kicks that were like blurry motions weaved like serpents, one clad in grayish-silvery light and the other clad in flames, one of them finally making its way through the flurry of attacks with deadly precision as headed straight towards the opponent's chest.

*Bang!~*

"Ah!"

Rath Heavenshade spat a mouthful of blood as he held his chest. He was sent flying, causing him to struggle to regain balance before he forcefully stretched out his hands and pushed himself against the momentum, causing him to come to a stop.

However, his eyes shook as he saw the Emperor of Death remain standing there with his hands half-stretched out in a battle pose.

The others were also unable to believe their eyes.

The strongest Transcendent Monarch, an Empyreal Monarch who was half-acknowledged to have the greatest martial prowess in the entirety of the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy, had lost to an Immortal King in a fist fight...?
