It was a smooth journey for Davis and Nadia as they arrived at the inner region’s periphery. Here, the grey fog became thicker as it began to obstruct their view a bit, but it posed no threat to the both of them as it wasn’t able to forcefully enter their pores or enter through their nasal cavity or other orifices as they disintegrate upon meeting with impenetrable flesh.
Davis searched around for a while as they progressed, even going as far as to use soul sense in a hundred-meter radius. Still, he was unable to sense an Emperor Grade Lightning Elemental anywhere in this grey fog, much less spot one. The black extinction lightning that fell on his soul sense with a destructive will was impeded by his soul.

Davis heard it, and he was about to respond when he noticed her strange tone. He raised his head, and his eyes widened as he saw a lightning ball dance through the air in the distance. It appeared like a globular bolt, making the air near it tremble from the pure force as it swayed in the air.
Its crackling lightning made a tune as if it was melancholically dancing in this island before leaving towards another obscured space.
It was just a brief glimpse amidst the grey fog, but Davis didn’t miss it with the help of Nadia’s timely warning. His wide eyes trembled as his lips turned into a wide smile!
’Jackpot!!! That’s a Mid-Level Emperor Grade Lightning Elemental!!!’ Davis inwardly screamed in excitement as he almost jumped when he sensed its strength.
Moreover, its lightning body was pitch black in color, indicating that it was probably the evolution of Derelict Extinction Lightning or some similar Lightning Elemental! All he knew was that it was surely extinction lightning as he found it to be familiar!
"Quick, Nadia! Follow it!" Davis urged.
However, the next second, he became taken aback.
He knew that Nadia wouldn’t waste a second as she always moved before he finished his words, understanding his intent. But, instead of advancing, he felt like she had moved backward. It was almost as if she was retreating.
"Nadia...?"
"Danger...!" Nadia slowly retreated as she growled, her fangs exposed for whatever there was outside amidst the grey fog to see.
Davis narrowed his eyes as his heart tightened. For Nadia to feel danger, the unknown must be extremely powerful. He kept his senses wide open for a while before he suddenly managed to catch a glimpse of a humanoid-shaped silhouette.
The silhouette looked as if it was carrying another humanoid-shaped silhouette, followed by another humanoid-shaped silhouette as they floated in the air.
’Magical Beasts...?’
Davis confusingly mused as he saw them briefly come out of the grey fog, but abruptly, it appeared as if they, all three of them, were traveling on a tiny flying boat as they headed in the same direction the Mid-Level Emperor Grade Lightning Elemental left towards.
At that moment, their facial features became visible.
A handsome man with viridian eyes and long hair stood on the pier holding a black-haired woman in his arms, looking as if she was asleep. Behind them was a charming woman with the same viridian eyes and long hair as the man, but contrary to him, she did not have long furry ears and a viridian tail. Al three of them seemed to wear the same green robes.
Davis remained silent, but both the man and the woman who was awake on the flying boat cast a look at him when suddenly an incredible pressure landed on him and Nadia, locking them in place while Davis’s eyes went wide in shock as his scalp turned numb!
