Chapter 3555 Unable To Supress?

Chapter 3555 Unable To Supress?

"Davis Loret, we apprehend you on the grounds of suspicion that you might've had something to do with the disturbance felt in our Reincarnation Dimension. If you do not comply, don't blame us for being ruthless."

The Chief Divine Inquisitor reached out his hands and made hand seals, appearing ready to unleash something that could possibly restrict Davis in a layer of chains.

"What did you say?"

Davis's amused expression froze.

Were they taking him to the Reincarnation Dimension? He felt like that was an opportunity that he couldn't miss.

After all, without Myria, he wouldn't be suspected at all. Just his reincarnation physique alone wasn't enough to prove that he was the source of the disturbance. However, they might have methods to fully interrogate him.

He might even enter a fugue state and the next thing he knew, he might've blabbered everything out, so without having complete confidence that came from overwhelming power, he felt like he must avert this disaster of being taken to the Reincarnation Dimension.

"You heard us. Don't make me repeat it again."

"So if I come with you guys, what becomes of me? I consider myself to be death reincarnate, but am I dying?"

Davis chuckled at the Chief Divine Inquisitor, causing the latter to frown.

"No, I assure you that as long as you aren't the main source of the disturbance, nothing will happen to you."

'Heh... there goes my hope as I am one of the two main sources for the disturbance...'

Davis inwardly laughed before he raised his hands, pulling out Yama.

"Then come. I'll make you regret ever stepping foot into this world."

The appearance of the scythe made the Divine Inquisitors narrow their eyes, unable to believe he held such a weapon without fear of repercussions as death would erode their own skin without fail, but it was like he was holding the gentlest sword made of water attribute.

It was completely tame in his grasp, not even harming him the slightest bit but even accentuating his prowess.

They could even see a bit of life-attributed ores embedded in it, making them wonder.

Regardless, they could see that it didn't pose them much harm. It didn't seem to be a Legacy Armament or anything else for that matter.

"Watch out... his pure death energy may harm our cores..."

The Chief Divine Inquisitor warned the other two in case of unexpected situations. He was about to perform his move when suddenly the woman to his left spoke up.

"Wait..."

It was the female Divine Inquisitor with a melodious voice. She raised her hand, blocking the Chief Divine Inquisitor from making a move.

Her actions prompted the others to stay their hands.

"I went to visit your family."

The female Divine Inquisitor uttered, causing Davis to raise his brows. He also expected that could've happened since the other source was probably from his mansion.

"What did you do?" Still, he couldn't contain his killing intent at this moment.

It burst out like a volcanic explosion, showering the Divine Inquisitors in a field of bloodlust.

"..."

*Szzz~*

Purplish-black flames abruptly soared at the center of the deathly chains of the artifact. It did nothing to the artifact but the flames spread to both ends, reaching the Chief Divine Inquisitor and Davis in one quick motion like oil burning up.

"Hmph!"

The Chief Divine Inquisitor harrumphed and unleashed a wave of death energy, pure and powerful enough to reinforce the artifact's sealing properties and try to extinguish the flames. However, this eerie wave of death energy traversed above the chain and clashed with the purplish-black flames, only to end up incinerated upon contact.

"What!?"

"Careful! That's an ungodly manifestation of apocalyptic flames!"

He became shocked, but the Left Divine Inquisitor extended a black whip and flung him away from the chains, quickly retreating as she took a step back.

For a moment, they couldn't understand what the Left Divine Inquisitor was saying but as they focused on the purplish-black flames, they naturally came to understand what it was, becoming dumbfounded.

And then, when they saw a little spirit manifest on top of the floating chains, they shuddered, unable to believe such an entity could exist.

Davis freed himself from the chains once it was let go of. The purplish-black apocalyptic flames failed to reach him because of Calypsea's extraordinary control.

He couldn't help but pick up the deathly chains, looking at it with some delight. To him, it was obvious it was an Empyrean Grade Artifact, but at what level, he didn't know. However, it seemed to be in a suppressed state here.

But what about the true immortal world...?

"I'll take these chains as a gift. Thanks..."

He took a good look at those Divine Inquisitors, wanting to etch their auras as much as possible so he didn't forget them. As far as he considered, the fight was already over since Calypsea somehow came here to back him up, perhaps because she followed the so-called Left Divine Inquisitor who returned from his mansion.

His prowess couldn't match them, but he figured that Calypsea could take on all three of them at once.

"You- give it back!"

The Chief Divine Inquisitor roared and flew towards him, but looking at the little spirit hovering in between, he came to a stop.

"Chief... we should leave..." The Right Divine Inquisitor suddenly spoke.

"What are you saying!?-"

"... too many Divergents...!"

The Chief Divine Inquisitor looked pissed as he had never experienced this kind of situation but looked at the Right Divine Inquisitor tremble before he glanced up in the direction she was viewing and saw eight people in the skies, the crimson light over his cloth fluctuated.

Peak-Level Immortal Emperors, and if what the Right Divine Inquisitor said was true... they were all Divergents.

Abruptly, the three Divine Inquisitors disappeared, reappearing in their Ghost Ship. The long yet terrifying ship equipped with untold horrors then unexpectedly shifted space, disappearing into the void while the three Divine Inquisitors looked shocked as they guessed one of their superiors had possibly pulled them back, which meant that their time almost ran out before they could be blamed or held responsible for some matter.

Was this because they had one of their artifacts stolen or the congregation that was enough to shake the course of fate!? Or was it because of the Heaven's Warrior who spotted them?

They didn't know.

However, to Davis, everything seemed surreal as one moment they were right in front of him but the next moment, completely disappeared from his senses.

But looking at the chains in his hands, he really wondered if they had left.

He had to make sure they really left, casting a glance at Saintess Lunaria, saying nothing before he hurriedly made it back to his mansion with Myria, who stayed quiet according to his wishes all this time because if she had to make a move, it was finally when she would have to expose herself and undoubtedly use the Grimoire of Fate together with Davis.

It was their last resort, so she stayed quiet, fervently wishing that it didn't come to that stage.
