Lea returned her gaze to him, her demeanor more formal and respectful.

"Because Illumina is missing from the auction of the Opulent Shell Company, the Lunarisse Empire's remnants are surrounded, so we won't be able to go there. They didn't believe Taiwu's excuse of selling it to a close friend who wished to remain anonymous. Of course, his son Reiwu's disappearance was also questioned, but Taiwu gave the excuse that his close friend also took him away to discipline him. The populace was joyous when they heard that Reiwu was gone, but the Heaven's Warriors and other hunters didn't fully believe him. Hence, they surrounded the Lunarisse Empire's ruins."

"So we won't be able to visit the Treasury for the time being now, huh..." Davis pursed his lips before he nodded, "That works too. Finally, some free time until the Celestial Transcendent shows up..."

He stretched his body before wrapping his arm around Stella again. She remained cuddly as a cat.

She gazed at Stella, not feeling the slightest bit of jealousy. Instead, she could only feel thankful for the number of times she helped them survive. However, there was one point she was uncomfortable with.

"Vereina still hasn't woken up yet?"

"Yes, she's resting..." Davis nodded. He explained what happened after Lea left.

It had been two days since they returned from the Voidshade Chasm, and there had been no sign of the Celestial Transcendent yet. Vereina also hadn't woken up.

Davis occasionally checked her and saw that it wasn't anything bad. Her soul was just getting used to her improved soul physique after getting ruptured, so it became a form of tempering process. She was just resting and recuperating from the exhaustion of getting possessed, which might've left a mental scar.

On the other hand, Tia and Hailac were also sleeping. They woke up, but they still felt lethargic, so after he treated them to some refreshments, he insisted that they sleep again.

He kissed Tia goodnight and praised Hailac. The both of them were more than willing to listen to him.

As much as an immortal doesn't need to sleep for a long time, it was a luxurious yet easy way to restore psyche and a lot of mental functions. Even the rate of soul force that's restoring would've increased by two or more times depending on the type of sleep they got.

After they slept, he stared at Tia's sleeping face, looking at her fondly.

"If you want to have Illumina, I will gladly concede. Even Shirley and Mingzhi like her. But we don't know about Vereina, and until it is made clear that she has remained chaste in body and soul for her future husband, it is the decision of the Harem Council that you are not to be intimate with women of that nature. I will represent the Harem Council during this journey and make sure you don't fall for any dirty tricks any of these women may use on you. As your wives, please let us protect you from temptation."

Lea spoke firmly and, in the end, pleaded with a soft gaze.

Davis was speechless.

It was true the Harem Council met many times. He didn't know what they did exactly, but it was their space, so he didn't want to intrude, but it seemed like they had banned him from being intimate with non-virgins. He wasn't against this decision either since he never had a physical relationship with a non-virgin and, most importantly, knew introducing an uncommon element into the harem would have steep consequences.

He had even seen their faces turn into one of disgust if they saw a slut-like attitude in a woman, so this decision wasn't exactly a surprise to him.

However, what if Vereina was one...? He didn't think she was a non-virgin, but what if she was?

She was on the wicked path without much of a backing. It wasn't exactly a good environment, and people were open about a few things, especially sexual favors. He was sure that was what Lea was speaking about.

"I'll listen to you, Lea." Davis smiled lightly, "But know that I'm still undecided on Vereina. I have to talk to her first but she's still sleeping. Furthermore, we have to deal with the Celestial Transcendent first."

"Mhm~" Lea smilingly nodded as she saw him remain pragmatic, "I love you, husband~ I would do anything for you, but in this scenario, you would have to listen to us. I don't want to call another woman who has embraced another man my fellow sister. The very thought of it makes me-"

"I understand." Davis didn't let her continue. He firmly nodded.

"But... what are you doing giving Illumina strange ideas...?" He suddenly sent a soul transmission to her.

Lea blinked. She gave Illumina a side eye and saw that her long bunny ears drooped, hiding her face. But from her side, she could see that her cheeks were red.
