Chapter 34 - The Godly Space

Moonlight shone on a silhouette of a girl sitting on the bed.

After her bath, Jiang Ying Yue lied down on the bed to sleep. But tossing and turning, she sat back up. She was tired but she was not sleepy at all.

Jiang Ying Yue decided to cultivate instead. She sat in a half-lotus position and closed her eyes. She then took and deep breath and cleared her mind of surroundings.

Almost instantly, she was in her sea of consciousness. The familiar dark area with a floating Life Bead came to view. She tried focusing to direct the Spiritual Qi around her to enter her body. Since she was an Omnia Magus, she could just absorb everything around her.

But just as she was guiding the colorful Spiritual Qi through her meridians, she felt her skin burning of her left shoulder.

At first, she tried to ignore it as it felt just slightly hot. But the more she guided Spiritual Qi into the Life Bead, the hotter the area got. It got hotter and hotter until at last, she felt like her left shoulder was being burned. It was so hot! So painful.

She could only stop cultivating and took her silk outer layer off. There, on her left shoulder she could see the red butterfly birthmark shining brightly. She had noticed the butterfly birthmark before even back when she was at the general's manor but back then, it was just dark chocolate in color and dull.

So why was it red in color and glowing now?

That particular spot was glowing as if it was fire and it hurt her so much.

Jiang Ying Yue grabbed her left arm using her right hand tightly as if to divert to pain to where she was holding instead. Cold sweat started forming on her forehead.

She did not want to make a sound. What was happening?!

During her struggle of trying to hold on to the pain and not make a sound, her body started blurring and WHOOSH she went missing. It was as if she was not in the room at all.

Jiang Ying Yue was currently in a vast land. The sky was blue and clear and temperature was perfect. It was neither too warm nor too cold. It was just nice.

To the right side her, she could see trees around. Blinking her beautiful phoenix eyes, she was confused.

'Where am I? Where is this place'

She really had the urge to curse out loud. What was happening now?

"You are finally here." A serene, melodious male voice was heard.

Turning her head as fast she could towards the source of the sound, Jiang Ying Yue was dumbfounded by what she saw.

What the ffffff?

Standing in front of her was a tall man, at 183 centimeter height, lean but slender built, clad in a maroon colored robe in contrast to his pale skin.

His face was so handsome that it looked like God took his time perfecting this human himself. Diamond shaped face, slight arch brows framing his perfectly sculptured face, round eyes, high-bridged nose and thin ruby-red lips. This man's face screamed femininity at every angle. Long deep-black hair but the most prominent was his all red iris and pupil. His eyes was just white and red.

He looked like a devil! Yes a devil that enchant people without even trying. This man was the definition of it. Jiang Ying Yue was kinda glad that she came here. She was single and she kept on being surrounded by beautiful men. Her brothers, Xuan Shanyuan, Li Zhiqiang, Xuan Jinhai and now this man.

Jiang Ying Yue was awestruck but she immediately recovered from it. "Excuse me, what do you mean I am finally here? Did you get the wrong person sir?"

Was this man nuts? She just came here.

The man chuckled. "I am not wrong. I have been waiting for you to come since forever. Only you can enter this place and no one else. Thank god you finally broke the seal and accessed this place."

Huh? What seal?

"Me? Could you please care to explain what do you mean sir? What seal? What do you mean you have been waiting for me? And I am the only one who can enter this place?"

The man was dumbfounded for a bit. Right, of course she did not know about this. Maybe the person who was supposed to tell her was already dead.

"Sit down first and I'll tell you."

'Wow.. so bossy.' Despite her thinking that way, Jiang Ying Yue still followed after the man and sat under a huge tree in front of each other.

"My name is Long Xing. I was sealed inside this place around 10 000 years ago according to your time outside. The time in here currently is 3 times slower than the outside world. You might be wondering, you are still young and yet I have been sealed in here for that long. I was originally sealed in a jade plate. But 13 years ago, the person who knew about me and had been keeping my jade plate safe was dying."

"He did not want me to fall into evil clutches who knew about my existence and when he found out about your unique body and talent, he used every last bit of power in his body to seal the jade plate into your body thus creating this world. I know you are not the original soul of this body. But now since it was your soul that broke the seal, this world is now attached to your soul. Even if you die, this world will follow you."

Jiang Ying Yue did not know how to process this information at all. Now she had this vast world inside her soul? Whaaaaatt theeee. And this man knew she was not the original soul as well? Meh she did not care to know how. This world was too weird already.

"Sir Long-"

"No no just call me Long Xing." He did not want her to call him sir.

Already so familiar? Okay then. "Long Xing, you said that you were sealed in here right, may I know why? And for me to be able to access it, there must be a reason to it right? Also why did the man not seal this the jade plate into his own soul instead?" Jiang Ying Yue bombarded Long Xing with her questions.

Long Xing was not mad at all. "I am a devil. I did horrible things in the past and they wanted to kill me. They could not and thus, they could only resort to trapping and sealing me in the jade plate when I was injured. The man,a descendant of my friend, kept the jade plate until he could find a suitable body to put me into. Only by living in a soul of a person with a certain unique constitution can I be broken free out of this seal. Once you are strong enough, I will be free."

'No wonder that man did not seal him into his own body instead. It was because he did not have the 'unique constitution'. But even though he is a devil, his facial expression and tone did not sound evil at all. There might be something more than meets the eye.'

Jiang Ying Yue could see his face was helpless. But she was still on guard. "So if you are a devil, and I become strong enough that I could release you, will you do the same mistakes that you did in the past?"

"This place was supposed to trap me and purify me from my demonic thoughts. But I can't promise anything. Honestly, I would rather stay here. I don't want to hurt innocent people anymore." Long Xing's tone was regretful.

'I was right. He must have had his own story as well.'

But Jiang Ying Yue was still wondering about a lot of things.

"Long Xing, what is this place? Do you not need to eat all while being here? And what do you mean by 'unique constitution'? "

Long Xing thought this girl sure asked a lot. But he did mind it. He was bored anyways. He did not talk to anyone for more than 10 000 years.

"This world is called the Godly Space. This space belongs to only you alone. No one can rob it away from you. You can plant herbs here and it will grow a lot faster than outside. The Spiritual Qi here is 10 times more than the world outside. The stronger you are, the more benefits you will get from this world. I will guide you on everything that I know but no, I don't want to be your master. I just want to be your friend. Is that okay?"

Jiang Ying Yue was taken aback. When did she say she wanted a master? Or a friend? But.. well since he was here anyways might as well be his friend rather than his foe. "Sure"

Long Xing was happy. Jiang Ying Yue did not know this but he was lonely. Not only here but even before he was sealed here. He had one friend and that friend was already dead.

Long Xing continued, "For your question as whether I eat or not, no I don't. I do not need to eat since I have reached a cultivation level where I do not eat to eat at all but I do enjoy eating. Well that was more than 10 000 years ago. And unique constitution, you have the 'Blood Moon Curse'. It's the same curse as me. Thus, making you suitable for me to be sealed into."
