Chapter 86 - Divine Beast's Egg

Various cultivators appeared at the outer perimeter of Mount Trux.

The black robed man, named Mu Shao Qing, approached the huge egg in front of him. It had red lightning pattern all around it with a white base.

Mu Shao Qing touched the egg. It felt hot and he even got zipped by the remnants of electric current on the egg.

'So, this was the legendary divine beast's egg.'

He hurriedly bit his finger and dropped his blood onto the egg, trying to form a contract with the divine beast inside.

It was rather easy to form a contract with a divine beast's egg compared to when they have hatched or even worse, an adult.

Jiang Ying Yue was lucky that Anguo wanted to follow her on his own will so she didn't have to tame him.

Magical beasts and divine beasts had their own pride and wouldn't even want to serve humans. Which was why, beast tamer was an occupation that was respected in the world, just like an alchemist did.

Mu Shao Qing then used his mental energy to form a contract with the egg. He fought the egg's natural repulsion towards the contract using his mental energy. His nose bled and soon, he managed to defeat the egg thus owning the possession of the divine beast inside, linking it to his soul.

Mu Shao Qing was speechless. This fella was still sulking because he took in another contracted beast? He didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Mu Shao Qing got the basilisk when he was faced with a few tests at his clan's secret ground and he passed them all. Among the 5 beasts, this particular beast chose him and wanted to follow him willingly.

Actually, among all 5 of them, he was the strongest beast and the fact that it wanted to follow him baffled Mu Shao Qing greatly.

It was only later that he found out that the beast wanted to serve him because he saw potential in Mu Shao Qing and wanted to be a part of the 'greatness' that will follow after his master.

Mu Shao Qing was satisfied and together with his subordinates, they left the mountain to avoid meeting the other cultivators who were searching for the egg.

He knew that there were two eggs that fell from the sky along with the lightning bolts, but one was enough.

In this world, the stronger a person gets, the more contracted beast they could have. Which was why, some people only had one magical beast as their contracted beast in their lifetime. And now, he had two. Both were of superior grades.

It was no use if tried to get the other egg. It would only spell trouble for him.
