C19 – The Feast of Hongmen
Ultimately, Choo Qin was unable to attain his Sorcerer certification.
His failure wasn’t due to a lack of mana; rather, his fundamental skills were simply too weak.
Embarrassed, he refrained from asking Van Wan to demonstrate other High Level Runes, as well as the more significant “Small Spell,” which were evidently very personal.
Instead, Choo Qin successfully completed the High Level Mage certification and was able to study some shared runes.
Swiftly, through a series of peculiar formations, Van Wan personally took care of all the necessary arrangements for Choo Qin and presented him with a small High Level Mage emblem.
This emblem was distinctive, containing much of his personal information and linking to certain items at the headquarters.
This signified that Choo Qin was now a member of the Long Song City Mage Guild.
With the Mage emblem, Choo Qin was eligible to undertake missions and earn Contribution Points, just like the other Mages in the guild hall.Điscover new chapters at novelhall.com
He could then use these Contribution Points to gain access to rune readings or to rent experimental equipment.
Van Wan even hinted that with the High Level Mage emblem, Choo Qin could easily become an Honorary Elder of the Mage Guild or serve as a mentor at the academy.
The grand hall was more austere than he had anticipated, with food and beverages laid out in an orderly fashion that instantly whetted his appetite.
Having come all this way, he certainly wasn’t going to go hungry. While everyone else was engaged in conversation, Choo Qin opted to enjoy his meal in solitude.
“Wow, have you heard? Jiaang Guangran really went all out this time! The Rain Listening Pavilion is exclusively hosting his banquet today.”
“That Loser Royal Highness probably didn’t have the guts to show up. I can’t fathom why Young Master Ye would go to such lengths.”
“You’re out of the loop, aren’t you? I heard that Jiaang Guangran had a run-in with the Loser Royal Highness when he visited the Imperial City with the Count. He’s definitely here for payback today!”
While savoring his food, Choo Qin kept an ear out and managed to gather quite a few tidbits of intelligence.
He wondered why he, a prince, was being treated with such disregard, only to realize it was due to an old grudge with Loser Choo Qin.
Regrettably, he couldn’t recall any feud with someone named Jiaang Guangran.
But that was beside the point.
The Choo Qin of today was no longer the loser of the past.
Should Jiaang Guangran dare to cross him, he would surely make him pay dearly!
