CH 54

Name:Don't Hide From Me! Author:
Two simple words that directly made Lu Xun's heart explode into a flower.

What came over me was shock, ecstasy, and disbelief.

"What did you say, what did you say?" Lu Xun pecked wildly at Ye Yao's lips, "Say it again, say it again."

"Well ...... can't talk about it, you can't know about it, you're homophobic." Ye Yao pushed Lu Xun away a little, "It's a secret."

Can't let him know that this thing that he likes about him can't be known?

The blood in his body rushes at one hundred and eighty mph and Lu Xun restrains a grin from his face, "I'm not homophobic, I'm more bent than a tape measure."

Ye Yao Jing Jing looked at Lu Xun and followed with a light smile on his face, "That's great."

There were splashes of water on Ye Yao's face and his slightly red cheeks were like waterlogged petals, tempting to be touched.

A short sentence can easily destroy a person's sanity.

Lu Xun's throat moved up and down as he reached out and took Ye Yao's cool shoulder in his hand.

Before Ye Yao had a chance to express his madness for someone, he was pressed into a kiss by Lu Xun.

Love it, love it to the bone.

I want to go from sunset to sunrise and back again with Ye Yao.

But this was at Ye Yao's house, Ye Yao's parents were there, and there were no certain necessities in Ye Yao's bedroom, even though Ye Yao was drunk and not sober.

Even if Ye Yao did not object, he would not allow himself to do too much more than that to Ye Yao now.

But ......

Lu Xun kissed Ye Yao's lips hard and then parted them slightly, "Remember when I said last time that those clothes of yours smelled good and I liked them?"

Perhaps the redness on Ye Yao's face was more pronounced because of his drinking, or perhaps because of the high temperature in this small space.

He nodded gently, "The clothes are in the wardrobe."

"I don't want to go to the wardrobe." Lu Xun's eyes burned as he looked unblinkingly at Ye Yao and repeated his words, "I don't want to go to the wardrobe to get my clothes."

Lu Xun was not sure if the drunken Ye Yao could understand him, but under his urgent gaze, Ye Yao nodded slowly.

*

Sunrise.

Ye Yao's parents did not come to wake Ye Yao and Lu Xun up, but prepared lunch and went out together.

Lu Xun actually woke up early in the morning, his dreams were filled with the scent of Ye Yao and he was so excited that he couldn't sleep for long, just staring at Ye Yao lying in his arms.

Ye Yao usually wakes up at a regular time, but last night he was kept awake by Lu Xun so late that he is still asleep.

Lu Xun couldn't resist giving Ye Yao a kiss on the tip of his upturned nose as he continued to reminisce about the good old days.

Ye Yao smells so good, Ye Yao smells a hundred times better in person than in clothes.

He will have to continue later.

As the saying goes, joy breeds sorrow, and after nearly a dozen hours of extreme joy, Lu Xun finally came to his senses, and underneath it all came a bit of trepidation.

Is it really such a good thing that Ye Yao's crush is on him? Is it really such a good thing that he has a crush on him?

Could it be that Ye Yao was too drunk to hear the question he asked in the first place and was simply shouting his name?

...... If Ye Yao's crush was really him, how painful it would have been for Ye Yao to find out about it, as he is a homophobic straight man and would have decisively cut off contact with his gay friends who had fallen for him.

...... Ye Yao would not alienate him for no reason, and must have gone through a long period of struggle and pain before deciding to do so.

How would Ye Yao have felt at that time when he was not allowed to hold hands, not allowed to cuddle, not slept with him?

The person in his arms stirred and Lu Xun snapped out of his jumbled thoughts to look at Ye Yao, whose eyes had opened.

"Awake?" Lu Xun asks softly.

"Hmm." Ye Yao, who had just woken up a little confused, sat up from his bed with a few strands of hair still sticking up on his head.

"What time is it? I'm going to the toilet." Ye Yao, who was not completely awake, said and got out of bed; he had just risen from the bed when his legs gave out and he was about to fall to the floor.

Lu Xun was quick to swoop in and hold the man up before Ye Yao actually fell to the ground.

Ye Yao is now completely awake.

He looked incredulously at his leg and then at Lu Xun, slightly wide-eyed.

Lu Xun knew that he had gone too far yesterday, so he was a bit vain: "Shall I help you over?"

"...... I'll go by myself." Ye Yao refused Lu Xun's help and warily regained his footing and walked slowly forward to the bathroom in the room, snapping the door shut once inside.

Lu Xun followed closely behind, he pressed his ear to the door and before long heard Ye Yao's surprised intake of breath.

Lu Xun spent his days outside, finally waiting for Ye Yao to open the door again.

"...... It's me who underestimated you before, Lu Xun ." Ye Yao's face was not angry, but there was a bit of helplessness, "Come and wash up together."

Their toothbrushes and towels come in sets, all laid out together, and look like a couple.

The two of them were brushing their teeth together, and Lu Xun was so bold as to make sure that Ye Yao was not angry, so he stuck to Ye Yao again.

Ye Yao didn't avoid it and let Lu Xun cling to him after brushing his teeth and washing his face, before the two of them walked like Siamese twins to the dining room for brunch.

Lu Xun sits next to Ye Yao and tentatively asks, "Do you remember what happened after you got drunk?"

Ye Yao shook his head, "I don't remember."

"Oh." Lu Xun was a little disappointed and wondered when it would be better to mention his crush to Ye Yao again, or if he should just not mention it at all.

If the crush was indeed him, then it must have been a very painful time for Ye Yao and he might not want to remember it.

"It's a nice day, so I'll go out with you for a casual stroll?" Ye Yao said.

Lu Xun had no objection to Ye Yao's proposal and after dinner they both went out together.

It's time for most people to take their lunch break, and although it's the May Day holiday, the small town remains as quiet as ever, with residents taking their breaks without the slightest disruption from the holiday.

Ye Yao followed Lu Xun wherever he wanted to go, stopping to walk, sweeping the shared bicycle when they got tired, feeling the summer sun and wind.

Lu Xun was taken all the way to their high school by Ye Yao.

The school is much busier now than the last time I was here during winter break. Even though it's all holiday time, there are more people playing inside than during the Chinese New Year.

"Ye students come to reminisce with me about my youth again?" Lu Xun raised an eyebrow and smiled as he looked at the school building in front of him with some emotion, "Back then the naive sophomore Lu Xun would never have thought that he would meet his marriage partner here."

And married to a man, he would never have believed it if he had told him about it years earlier.

"You were so straight back then." Ye Yao followed along with the memory, "And also very draggy, girls confessed to you you ignored, boys confessed to you, your expression was like someone owed you 50 million."

"I'd rather be owed $50 million than hear a guy confess to me." Lu Xun wrinkled his brow and then instantly switched to a wicked smile when he looked at Ye Yao, "Except for Ye Yao confessing to me, of course."

Ye Yao smiles as he is caught in Lu Xun's hand, the two rings gently colliding as they hold each other.

"You were pretty straight back then too, in fact I used to think that the fact that we got along so well had something to do with the fact that we were both ironically straight." Lu Xun says, "But now it's better, now we're all bent into mosquitoes."

It is because they are all bent into mosquito scent that he can kiss and hug Ye Yao and go further to smell Ye Yao's scent, can these straight men do that?

The more Lu Xun thinks about it, the more he hates his past self: "It's good to be bent, why should I be a straight man, why didn't I start bending years ago?"

They walked past the basketball court and the boys playing basketball started whistling excitedly when they saw their interlocked hands.

A few well-connected boys got up in arms: "Fencing, come along and fence!" "Did your wife see that? People are holding hands, we can't lose!" "Damn it~ I love it when you're so bad."

Ye Yao did not let go of Lu Xun's hand and neither did Lu Xun's. He led Lu Xun and continued to walk deeper into the campus.

They walked a good distance away from the crowd.

"Where are we going here? Ouch, here's the old place, I'd forgotten about it." Lu Xun started to get excited.

Here they had reached the boundary of the school and there was a wall in front of them.

Lu Xun used to go over here when he wanted to skip school and would occasionally bump into Ye Yao, who was the class president.

But Ye Yao is not here to arrest people. Ye Yao sometimes has to flip in and out of here when he is late for work.

It was here that they first met, but Lu Xun, a newcomer at the time, didn't know Ye Yao and didn't think he was in the same league as the good-looking student, so he didn't pay much attention to him.

Lu Xun leapt to his feet and crouched at the top of the wall after a smooth flip, saying proudly, "Not bad, your skills haven't deteriorated." Lu Xun looked at Ye Yao again, "Want to join us?"

Ye Yao shook his head as he looked up at Lu Xun, crouched against the wall, and gathered his words before finally speaking.

"It's a special place, with a certain amount of monumentality." Ye Yao said slowly, "I want to say something to you here."

Lu Xun was confused: "You said?"

Ye Yao's dark, watery eyes looked at Lu Xun, his voice was soft, but clear enough for every word to reach Lu Xun's ears, "I met my first love here ......, the one who made me start liking men."

Lu Xun froze, and his hands unconsciously began to clasp.

Ye Yao is all serious: "We started out as friends when he was a homophobic straight man. He was so nice and perfect in every way in my eyes. I don't know how I fell in love with him, but I did bend for him and never regretted it."

Lu Xun's heart was pounding, and his eyes were unblinking as he watched Ye Yao, concentrating his attention for fear of missing a word.

"Lu Xun, I like you a lot, the only one I've ever liked is you." Ye Yao said seriously, "You are my only ideal type."

Lu Xun swooped down from the wall and wrapped Ye Yao in his arms so tightly that he couldn't leave a gaping hole.

"I'm sorry I'm a little late in making up a confession for you." Ye Yao also hugged Lu Xun, reached out to pat Lu Xun's back and said in a warm voice, "I was so happy after being with you that I kept forgetting to tell you that you were my crush."

"Don't tell me you're sorry." Lu Xun's voice choked and he buried his head in the crook of Ye Yao's neck.

Ye Yao must have remembered last night's conversation and brought him here to tell him about it solemnly as a way to soothe his inner turmoil.

As the saying goes, a man should not cry, but Lu Xun felt that he could not hold back.

Lu Xun rubbed the nape of Ye Yao's neck again and spoke with a strong nasal voice: "I should be the one to apologise to you, I'm a fool for not realising your feelings earlier and making you feel sorry for yourself for so long."

Ye Yao smiled softly, "It was a bit sad at the time, but I don't regret going through that period of crush, you deserved it and it was a good time to remember now."

Ye Yao's face was lifted and someone kissed his forcefully and fiercely.

They stand at the spot where they first met and kiss, memories of the past merging with the present, each frame an image that will be remembered in their hearts.

Ye Yao touches Lu Xun's ear, closes his eyes and opens his lips to give his loved one a response.
