C34 – Adventure Again

“I can’t control myself!”

The youthful assassin was suspended in midair, his eyes vacant as if lifeless.

The murderous look in his eyes vanished, supplanted by intense terror.

At this instant, he sensed his body was beyond his dominion.

It seemed as if an unseen force had ensnared him, and he could not liberate himself.

Under this force, he felt like an ant.

“Give yourself a slap first.”

Loong Chen’s voice was very calm.

However, his tone contained an irresistible order.

Subsequent to this, a slap resonated. The face of the youthful assassin reddened and swelled immediately.

This spectacle had left both the associates of the young assassin and the bystanders in shock.

He did, in reality, strike himself, employing his full strength in the slap.

But why did he yield to this young man’s words?

The young assassin displayed his anguish. He lost the command of his body and the privilege to verbalize his thoughts.

“Everyone, tread carefully. That youngster possesses an odd skill.”

The several men brandishing sabers around Loong Chen were also wary of making a hasty move.

The young one’s power was deemed supreme among them. He had been affected by the assault. They doubted they were any match for Loong Chen.

Loong Chen sneered.

The group of burly men surrounding him let out miserable cries.

A few Earth Spikes appeared on the ground out of nowhere and pierced through all the burly men, killing them in an instant.

Blood splattered all over the street.

Observing this unfolding scenario, the youthful assassin’s eyes, already filled with terror, became clouded with despair. He recognized his survival chances as being non-existent.

“Your life shall be spared. Whether you uncover the true perpetrator, however, will hinge upon your own endeavors,” the voice calmly professed.

Loong Chen addressed Baldie Qiang in a dispassionate tone, subsequently turning away and departing.

The bystanders watched him with a mixture of admiration and reverence, parting ways to forge a path for him.

Baldie Qiang remained frozen in shock for several moments before regaining his composure. When he eventually recovered and began to search for Loong Chen, he discovered that Loong had already vanished without leaving any traces behind.

“Had he not intervened, my fate would have been sealed. Aligning myself with him seems providential.”

His heart was ablaze with unprecedented exhilaration.

Loong Kui’s cheeks flushed crimson.

After the midday meal, Loong Chen spoke to Loong Kui.

“Kui, I need to step out for a bit but should be back by dinner.”

His intention was to revisit Jade Gorge Mountain.

Rapid enhancement of his prowess necessitated encounters with zombies and mutated beasts.

The creatures in Death City were of inferior rank, insufficient to meet Loong Chen’s requirements.

Given the presence of a Level 4 mutated salamander in Jade Gorge Mountain, other superior beasts might reside there as well.

“Be careful.”

Loong Kui gave a nod, understanding that her brother had transformed from his former self.

However, she chose not to intervene hastily in her brother’s affairs.

Loong Chen penetrated the confines of Jade Gorge Mountain, advancing towards its most secluded areas.

In the absence of Bai Xiaohan, he was able to traverse several times faster.

He swiftly dealt with any mutated beasts that crossed his path.

The beasts lurking in the peripheral area were typically of a lower tier, but Loong Chen aspired to venture further inward.

As presumed, the beasts he encountered grew increasingly formidable and numerous.

A resounding roar echoed before Loong Chen, and shortly after, a colossal entity revealed itself to him.

The creature was a massive bull enveloped in lightning and spanned several meters in length.

If it were to stand on its hind legs, its height might equal that of two or three humans.

Loong Chen recognized the creature, recalling the details about the mutated beast before him.

Lei Kui (Kumi), a beast of the Ox type with mutations, possesses the capability to manipulate lightning.

Although its power is only classified as Level 3 Mid Rank, it poses a threat surpassing that of a standard Level 4 mutated creature.

The lightning it generates has the ability to incapacitate foes by inducing numbness.

Regardless of being an ordinary or a mutated beast, all exhibit pronounced territorial awareness.

At this juncture, Loong Chen has already trespassed into the domain of the Lei Kui.

However, fear is absent in Loong Chen at this moment.

Instead, his eyes gleam with a combination of battle readiness and exhilaration.

Could this Lei Kui bestow some advantages upon him, perhaps?

The Lei Kui, seemingly perceiving Loong Chen’s combative aura, becomes immediately enraged, its eyes transforming to a shade of crimson.

It emits a fierce roar, and subsequently, a lightning bolt of considerable thickness is launched in the direction of Loong Chen.
