Chapter 58 [Bonus ] 58: Cute Cats

Zell sat at the table; he wanted to decide what he would do tonight. Suddenly, a blur of golden fur shot past him, closely followed by a blur of silver. Zell barely had time to register the two cats before they were off again, darting around the room and leaping over furniture.

Zell couldn't help but smile as he watched the cats play.

'These two are so damn cute! I want them to be my cats forever… Though, why does she look so fat right now?'

[No…. Zell, do not look! The chicken just fell into my mouth…. It won't affect my human form….] (Yinfra)

[Haha! Who is the fat shit now! Smelly fat cat!] (Yanfra)

They were always so full of energy and mischief, and he loved them for it. He had always been a cat person, and these two were so cute as they kept switching between attack and defence. Though the graceful movements of Yanfra made it seem like she could see the future. Her body swerved, dodged obstacles, and knocked them down to trip up the silver Yinfra who had just crashed into them.

'Ah, she's so clumsy, but look at her fat little belly struggle to get up. So adorable!'

As he watched, the cats slowed down and eventually came to a stop, panting and grooming themselves. They seemed to have burned off all their energy for the moment, and Zell was relieved. He had work to do, and he needed to focus.

"Now, those girls are going to the dungeon after they bathe… Weird, the gel cleans you anyway." Zell whispered to himself, tapping the dark brown table.

But before he could relax and think to himself. The golden tabby was on his lap, purring loudly and kneading his knees with her paws. The silver tabby wasn't far behind, settling on Zell's shoulder and pawing at his lustrous black hair purring into his ears. Her long bushy tail smacked into his head like a small club.

Zell couldn't help but laugh as the cats made themselves comfortable with him. He knew he should probably shoo them off so he could get some work done, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. They were just too cute and lovable.

So he let them stay, smiling as they purred and drooled on his clothes. He knew he had a lot to do, but was content to sit and let the cats keep him company.

'I want to spend my system points and set up a plan to improve myself, Griselda and Rika with them! Can you help me?' He didn't specify which one to help and just asked them both. Zell felt both cats on his body shudder for a moment, interrupting their grooming and kneading.

He shuddered as both the girls spoke simultaneously with similar tones. The intense feeling of cuteness drove his mind into overload before he returned. His thought was, 'so I will share attributes with my pets; if they are higher than me, I will get a boost. If I am higher, it will boost them?'

Zell took a moment to think, not bothered about the slight pain from their sharp claws poking his skin. He felt cute cats were justice and worth the pain. Then he spent more than half an hour wondering where all this drool came from and deciding what to upgrade.

It felt like an eternity as Zell's body was wracked with spasms and convulsions. He could feel his bones being tempered and reformed, becoming denser and more rigid. His organs were reborn, regenerating and adapting to the new power coursing through his veins.

He couldn't speak; his mind felt like someone had smashed him with a hammer over and over. Zell could feel two soft paws from both cats stroke his body; a blazing hot flame and cooling breeze filled his body to help him cope with the pain.

But as the transformation reached its climax, Zell could feel the darkness receding. His muscles knitted back together, more powerful than before. His black and red flames tempered and hardened his bones. While it renewed his other organs.

Zell emerged from the ordeal with a changed man when it was all over. He was more handsome, with sharper eyes and a more muscular frame. He could feel the raw energy pulsing within him, ready to be unleashed at a moment's notice.

But the transformation had come with a cost. Zell knew he was no longer fully human, marked forever by the darkness that now flowed through his veins. He could feel the pull of the shadows tempting him with their seductive power.

Zell knew that he would have to be careful, or he might succumb to the darkness and lose himself completely. But for now, he revelled in the strength and power of his new form, ready to face any challenge that came his way.

He stood tall as the commotion and changes tore apart his clothes, leaving them tattered. His muscles tensed and bounced, shimmering in the afternoon sun. Two cats sat under his body after jumping off him. The cute silver tabby looked to the side and only glanced at his naked body. Yanfra looked at him wide-eyed and slapped her fat tail against the ground.

"How is it, my cute little cats? Do I look awesome or what! Haha!"

[Nyauu! Nauru!] (Yanfra reverted to a mindless cat in heat.)

[….. Idiot….Put that thing away…. So needlessly big!] (Yinfra blushed and grasped her bottle of sweet wine.)

Zell shook his head and walked towards his third floor with weak legs and shaky steps. Although he still had many points. His heart felt shocked at the pain; if he was honest, maybe he feared the higher stages. He read that if he made it to stage 10. The bloodlines would evolve and become something more splendid, either a higher version of the same beast or he could develop into something new while keeping the previous benefits.

A beautiful blue-haired cat woman sat beside him and made those fearful images vanish, replaced by life with a golden tabby cat. He loved her all his life, and she lived until the day he died.
