Zell was going to rejoin Alizée, his feet halfway across the room, standing beside the entrance, when suddenly the double doors slammed open, a loud fanfare as if to announce some great person's arrival.
Bang!
Chris caught up with Zell pulling on his arm as he noticed Zell standing still, his eyes facing the door in a strange daze.
"Zell man, come on! They are the Brittanic Empire. We have to move!"
"Oh? Aren't they the ones with the dragon...." Zell whispered.
Chris looked at his friend, putting a thick pulse of electrical mana into his arms, trying to shift his body with bulging muscles; however, no matter how much force he applied, like Zell was bolted to the floor, he didn't move.
He turned back around and saw two people entering: one tall thin woman dressed in an elaborate gown that made her look elegant despite being so small-statured compared to most women here, who were all taller than him by several inches.
She had long blonde hair tied behind her head with strands falling over her shoulders from where they'd been pulled away from the rest of it, making them seem even longer because there weren't any bangs or layers involved--she wore a simple necklace but nothing else besides what she already seemed naked without.
"My Esmera is more beautiful; damn, these Empire royals think they are amazing, looking down on anyone who isn't a human or has monster blood."
Her skin was pale white while her lips were pink enough for someone not wearing lipstick, giving off this impression that everything about her was artificial, though perhaps that was just due to her unnatural beauty.
"Zell, that's Princess Larian... we need to move!"
The other person walked right towards Chris and Zell with a stern and angry face, his body wearing a strange noble outfit, with a sword at his waist, brown hair and eyes, which narrowed towards the pair who failed to move.
The young man stopped after reaching their side and glared at both of them, his voice carrying through the large hall. "What is wrong with you? I told my guards to keep everyone out of the way until--" He cut himself short as he finally realised why they hadn't moved.
"Oh, are you stunned by the beauty of our future queen? Why are your heads so high? Quickly prostrate yourselves before the wondrous presence of Princess Larian!"
His expression softened slightly before turning into a frown again. His hands went up to cover his mouth and then dropped down to grab onto the hilt of his sword, looking ready to draw it immediately.
"Sebastian, there is no need." A gentle voice sounded from Princess Larian, a soft and melodic tone; however, in her eyes, Zell could see it, this was an act, and she looked at both him and Chris like trash, only seeming concerned with her outside appearance.
"Dear guests, may you part way; I would much like to pass." She asked as the horns began to die, and a small group of female knights entered behind the Princess, looking towards Zell and Chris like that male Sebastian did.
But Zell was still in part of the trance, the memories of his past life confused about a second red dragon; he could feel her scent, and the power of her bloodline was close to his own.
There was a strange sense of connection, kinship and affection as if it was buried deep in his heart and fused with every fibre of his dragon bloodline, which was now completely fused due to his race [Zel Dragan]
'She's here... a bit distant, but I can feel the presence of another dragon... not just the one in the room behind me.
He looked at the average woman, the one revered as Princess. She couldn't even come close to any of his women, so why was this idiot so arrogant? Zell began to feel a bit of disgust as to him; even Anya was leagues above this haughty woman who hid her daggers and disgust in her eyes.
"Where is Garnet?" Zell spoke his first words, seeming to break from his trance.
When that name was spoken, all the knights and Sebastian suddenly pulled the swords from their hilts halfway.
However, Zell did not flinch; he looked at the unsightly face of Larian, her eyes scrunched up, lips and teeth showing her anger, a truly unsightly princess.
His eyes looked towards the group, watching around, as the pulsing sensation in his chest began to worsen, a deep thumping of his chest feeling a strong bond towards this other entity rapidly approaching at high seeds, likely flying as she was more than 1,600 metres above him.
"Oh, she's coming..." He whispered nonchalantly
But the faces of the Brittanic Empire began to sour the moment he spoke because since Garnet appeared in their Empire, she was unruly, they could never control her, and because of her red dragon bloodline, the people in the Welska Kingdom located to the west of the Brittanic Empire made noise and refused to let her be treated wrongly.
This caused tension between the countries, and the Brittanic Empire often sent armies to attack the kingdom. However, each time they arrived too late, and the army was destroyed by the dragon's magic. But recently, things changed...
A few seconds later, the familiar figure flew through the air, landing lightly on the marble floor, her wings spread wide, and a golden aura surrounding her entire body.
Her body was filled with tight muscles and countless scars from what were likely life and death battles, and her eyes were blood red, with a long messy mane of red hair.
'This is the woman I've wanted as my pet? How could this proud and beautiful woman become a mere pet...! No wonder...'
She was wearing a beautiful dress, black with frills and ribbons that were partly frayed, likely due to her flying around as her mouth was still chewing something, blood dripping from the corner of her lips, while a half-eaten fish was in her right hand, a fish more than 50kg easily carried in a single palm.
"T-Thats a dragon...!?" A male noble said, his body stout with a handlebar moustache, his body physically shaking from the aura of Garnet.
"Oh my.... her body is unsightly..." A middle-aged woman bit back, maybe wanting to boost her ego.
Garnet ignored them, walking calmly towards a single direction; others began to sigh and feel a sense of awe towards the Brittanic Royalty.
"As expected of the Lion Princess of Brittanica!"
"Only she could tame this wild and uncouth dragon!"
"Do you see now the greatness of our princess boy! How dare you stand in her way, who has tamed the red dragon, putting her into servitude! Prostrate yourself, or I will slay you where you stand!" Sebastian spoke with a proud voice, loud and clear, trying to boost the prestige of the Brittanic Empire.
Then Garnet lifted her left hand, throwing a powerful wave of her strong mana and aura towards Sebastian. It hit him square in the nose, causing him to fall backwards, clutching his bleeding nostril. Then Garnet grabbed his neck and squeezed tightly, lifting him straight upwards, a vein popping out of his forehead as he screamed.
"Please, Garnet.. don't kill him... he's me.." Princess Larian begged as the red dragon shrugged her shoulders before focusing back on Zell's figure, her eyes interested as she alternated between the fish in her hand and him.
This situation caused Princess Larian to grimace; she didn't want to lose face with this man, her body almost visibly shaking from her embarrassment and anger, tightly clenching her hands as she looked at Garnet with a slightly irritated look.
With a flick of her tail, Garnet tossed the dead fish into the air, arcing towards Zell's hands as he caught it easily, sniffing the fish and realising it was a very expensive and rare fish, causing his appetite to grow, while Garnet continued forward.
Then, she stepped into the centre of the room, looking straight ahead, now stating beside the Princess, but her eyes locked onto Zell.
The dark red orbs dilated and then contracted into slits, her nostrils flaring as she lifted her head to signal him to eat the fish.
'Well, it seems that the bones are already gone... She seems to want me to eat?'
Zell looked down at the strange fish, still filled with the female dragon drool; although it was a little bit gross, her eyes were starting to narrow, and that thick, scaled tail started to slap the ground as if she was getting angry, so he decided to go with it.
He lifted the huge fish and took a bite. It tasted like nothing he ever ate before, yet somehow different, almost sweet; however, the scales were tough and chewy, and he nearly choked on his tongue once it got lodged inside.
After swallowing, he felt dizzy as his stomach expanded, growing larger than normal, filling up quickly with food--he felt like he would explode before suddenly the fish seemed to transform in his stomach.
"What a strange feeling..." He whispered, almost belching from the full sensation; he couldn't imagine how wonderful this might be for the girls to eat with some garlic butter and olives, secretly wanting to ask this red dragon lady where she got the fish and bribing her with cooked fish.
He felt the feeling of levelling up, a refreshing feeling filling his entire body as he became almost barbaric and devoured the fish, scales and all, leaving nothing after a few moments.
