Bang!
Azrael's foot stomped on Zell's head, and his lower body was kicked away by Azmael, landing a few feet off. The two laughed as Zell staggered to his knees and fell forwards, his left arm missing, his guts slowly pouring out; Zell lifted his head in defiance, his eyes still fierce and red, looking at the bastards.
'Damn, you... bastards... fuck you both!'
Zell had no more fight left in him.
"Are you ready to die? It looks like that dragon cannot fight much longer either... ahhh... her face is scarred now... can you still get it up with that face?" Azmael teased before he showed a sadistic smile. "I know; let's make you match each other!"
Grasping his thin blade, he shot his right arm forward, piercing the right eye of Zell with a loud popping sound.
Zell's body went limp as his mouth opened wide in pain. Still, even the scream became a pitiful wail as his body was sent flying from the power of the blow, with his tongue lolling from the back of his throat as his remaining eye rolled around.
'Hahahahaha.'
'What are you laughing at?'
At the same time, he only saw a hazy, red world falling onto his back; he watched Garent fighting, desperately her wings tattered, body filled with blood and wounds; Amon himself was just as bad, his right horn torn off, his face mangled, but he seemed confident.
'Hahahahahahah!' Only laughter filled Zell's mind as he ignored the nostalgic and familiar voice, forcing his broken body to stand, it was a desperate attempt to recover, but he was only able to keep up with the heavy bleeding that was rushing out of him.
"Oh? Half-breed, are you going to keep fighting?"
"Brother... let's kill him!" Azmael shouted, his sharp teeth smiling broadly.
"Shut up."
'That's it; you're finally fucking getting it. Why be a half-breed, to rely on some shitty system... feel it yourself. How could you have fused your bloodlines if you relied on that system? Let me help you; I will guide you... I am a professional when it comes to mixed bloodlines.'
Zell looked at the two, his eye filled with blood and the sensation of his weak heart beating... But he could feel it, himself... two bloodlines that should long have been fused... why did he always use one power but then layer the other on the top? Why didn't he think to use them both at the same time... What caused him to hold back?
A powerful beating began to fill the air as if the entire universe was disturbed.
Animals fled, the wind stopped, and waves became still.
It was like time had stopped...
'It looks like you have amazing luck with women... I'm a little jealous... Haha! As if we are the same person!'
A soft hand pierced through the veil of Asteria, her soft hand brushing along his cheek as time moved at a fraction of reality's normal speed.
"Why are you so stupid.... my cute brother... You die to protect a fairy and her lover... now you die because you don't want to become a monster... Are you afraid nobody would want you?"
He felt his body tremble; it was true... The scenes from his past life, being seen as a monster, hunted down and losing all he loved...
"Don't worry~ even if every living existence hates you. This demon goddess Amelia will love only you. No matter how much time might pass, how many times you are reborn. I will ALWAYS watch you~ fufufufufufufu~ so many cute women, all trying to steal you from me... should I skin them, boil their ovaries in a pot and make it into a soup? Hahahaha~ no, no, no... let's be good... my brother loves cute girls.... let's forgive... let's forgive....!"
Her arm tried to pull herself through the black hole she tore apart, but the further she reached, the more cracks and pink blood began to pour from her arm, turning into dust.
"Oh.. it seems those damn bastards don't want me to reunite with you yet... My avatar will soon meet you; make sure you last more than five seconds this time, my cute brother! Here... a gift, for your final steps into adulthood... after so many thousands of years..."
He could see her fingers, now bones wrapped around his head; they moved slowly towards him. As if in slow motion, Zell watched as the two digits turned into an iron claw that dug deep within his skull. He felt something growing inside like a second brain pulsating under the surface of his flesh.
'Ugh!? What is she doing...!'
'Ah... so that's it.... no wonder...'
Her fingers caused something to grow rapidly and dragged out a disgusting white creature, a disgusting bug that seemed to feast on energy; its body squirmed before the bone fingers Amelia squished it into dust.
"They seem to have meddled with your body... When? Why? Who? Ahhhh~ big sister... I'm a big sister now.... so let big sister find out... big sis' will tear their flesh.... pull out their organs..... ahhhhh~ I don't want to leave.....!"
A deep sorrow filled Zell's heart at her words, which echoed through the ages as the black hole faded away, leaving nothing but space.
Then he heard her soft voice saying: "I am sorry, my cute little brother."
Zell felt his body collapse onto the ground, losing consciousness somewhere beyond the sky. His final thought came back to haunt him.
'How many more lives will you use up?' he mocked himself.
'Zell... we don't have much time to linger... soon time will resume...'
'Please, Vincent! Guide me forward!"
'This will be the last time... I only exist because that damn device was stopping your bloodlines from fusing... That crazy bitch... so she's still alive... Or did she not realise who you are... Only interested in your body for research... Hahaha... cute little sister....'
His broken body stood in the silent world, colour drained, people frozen, as he walked forward, the sharp blade of Azmael drawn, facing the sky.
'Use his sword, cut off your inferior limbs... Let's do this properly... like a true Daemon.'
"Ah... If I can support Garnet, and kill these bastards, even if I become a detestable monster, so be it!"
His feet slowly stepped forward as the strange throbbing sensation in his brain grew. He could feel something growing inside his body, a power that would never allow another person to hold him back again.
At the end of his life, suddenly, he desired nothing more than for that demon goddess to embrace him and let him melt inside her.
'(It seems you'll succeed where I was merely a failed subject... haha...)' Vincent thought to himself, Zell unable to hear as he began to slice his remaining arm and legs off, dropping to the ground like a sack of rocks.
"It's time... Ugh... It seems the frozen time stopped my pain... and blood loss."
'It's time, Zell. From here on out, there is no more Vincent or Zell... Now there is only US!'
Suddenly, it was as if the world ended.
A loud resounding roar sounded as a deformed beast appeared, its huge body almost larger than Asteria itself, as its maw widely opened, letting out a second roar, the power of its roar almost wiping out the entire universe.
The beast was Abyss; the Abyss is endless.
Two huge eyes, the size of planets, stared down at the tiny spec that was Zell Delacroix; his entire existence felt so meaningless and less than the particles of dirt we take for granted and hoover up when the room is dirty.
'Why are you being so wishy-washy...'
"Eh?"
'Accept our true heritage.'
"What's the-- Argh!? Wha.....Ughaa....!"
A sea of darkness began to flood his body, the bloodline of all the most dreadful and disgusting monsters locked in the Abyss, fallen noble creatures, dragons, phoenixes, chimaera, wyverns, serpents, eldrich fiends...
All began to enter his body, melted into a liquid and forced into his body, Zell's body and form breaking, his chest splitting in two, blood and organs bursting with a sticky black texture, his missing eye socket filled with a bright golden pool, slowly forming a deformed, eldrich eye, with a slit down the middle and four dots on either side, each pulsing and dilating as if their pupil.
'It looks like I am finished here...' Vincent whispered, as he was separated from Zell's mind and body, watching his new self being broken, torn apart, twisted into disgusting and disfigured shapes, sometimes like a mere slime, other's a huge minotaur filled with tight muscles.
His body constantly tempered and improved as the being above, the abyssal lord... named Vincent Schwartz, transformed into Zell Delacroix, handing over everything he learned, gained and achieved as his presence slowly faded.
'Haha... to think we were together since the first life... It was really fun to be like a taxi driver for my new self... forgive me... But My Silvaria is waiting... I have to go home now, Zell...'
'Show them you do not fear death.'
'But a man who accepts death with a smile and conquers it.'
Freed from the bonds of time, Vincent felt the first steps taken through eternity. His memories faded, replaced by light as he seemed to see the world with new eyes.
Then the most beautiful face smiled at him, causing him to fall backwards into an uncontrollable fit of laughter, sending the wind scattering all over the place.
She gave a gentle laugh as he stood in front of her.
"Darling... you finally came home! You'll never guess what Collette said today!" A soft voice sounded before entering the rustic room.
"Silvaria... I'm home."
