Chapter 865: If You Knew, You Would Have Run

“No time to die!” shouted White Crow as he furrowed his brows. “It’s now or never, Baiyun!”

“Tch! Leviathan! We will need all the power we have here! It’s coming!” shouted Baiyun before both he and White Crow stood next to each other releasing their presence.

“What is happening here?” Lyon asked. “I have something that was making the world a little bit.

Lorey gritted his teeth before he looked at Zelena. “Fang, we need you to unleash your greatest art!”

“Shut up!” said Zelena as she grabbed her sheathed sword and entered a stance. “I have no time for that, it’s coming right at us.”

“If the next attack fails, I will jump forward!” said Harmon as he slapped his chest plate to reassure his conviction.

“Shit shit shit!” Baik repeatedly cursed as his lungs heaved up and down. His temples were full of cold sweat as he looked at his trembling dagger.

“Man up!” shouted Nise, “I can’t die here and now, I still want to do something!”

Lorey slapped his hand in a gesture, “We need to attack it at the same time! Fang! You’ll be our finisher! Strongest you got!”

“Just hurry up!” shouted Zelena.

Lyon raised one of his brows as he saw Zelena’s ankle had a strand of the black strand. He smirked.

“Let’s go!” White Crow let out a war cry as he leaped into the sky and went straight toward the giant sphere. “White Crow Art! Piercing Morningstar!”

His entire body turned into a giant white crow without a screech before plunging straight toward the sphere under the gasped expression of the adventurers below. The sphere was pushed back.

“Go! White Crow!” shouted one adventurer before a wave of supports followed.

Baiyun closed his eyes as he eloquently summoned a harp to his hand out of thin air. He furrowed his brows before his fingers danced against the strings. Each note he hit produced a tone that accelerated his surrounding mana before it climbed toward the giant White Crow.

The intensity of White Crow’s mana increased tremendously and so did the adventurers’ morale.

Sakya was being held by Farash’s shoulder as she looked at the saint shimmer above against the dark sphere. She was brimming with hope just like the rest of them. She was hoping that White Crow could push it back somehow, somehow.

“Here is something you might like! Wind Art!” Nise opened both of her fans and revealed her sharp glance. She leaped to the sky before hovering at a distance. “Howl of the Wind!” she raised her arms before she fanned down with all her might. A huge tornado immediately formed and went its way toward the dark sphere. However, after the first crash, the tornado disappeared.

“Tch! Zelena!”

“Not yet…” Zelena muttered.

“Gah!” White Crow returned to his original self as the light dissipated. He was free falling toward the ground before his back slammed and made a crater. He gritted his teeth as his eyes opened only one. Blood was trailing from his lips as he kept his chest together with his hand. “It’s up to you now!”

“Zelena!” Baik and Lorey shouted before Baiyun twitched his brows and darted his buff toward the Fang of Leviathan.

Zelena took a cold breath under her nose. A click of her sword was heard as she leaned slightly forward. Her eyes were locked toward the incoming fall of the sphere toward the main town. It reflected the fear and tremendous fright that all other adventurers had.

Lyon closed his eyes and smiled before his hair fluttered from a sudden gale caused by a shadow passing him by. He opened his eyes, and he glanced at the sky before he smirked.

Everyone froze as they saw the lone woman jumping straight toward the sphere alone. Their jaws locked open before they saw her blade unsheathed. Their faces were reflected on the clean blade.

“Void Art: Abyss Punishment!”

The woman blinked away before she ended up at the other side of the sphere with her curved sword revealed. Her hair didn’t manage to touch her back before she blinked once more.

“Woah, not bad, haha,” Lyon laughed seeing Zelena blinking one way to the next around the sphere before she ended up on the ground once more.

She sheathed her sword elegantly before she said, “Void Art: Abyss Punishment.” her sword sheathed to a click.

A flash appeared from the middle of the sphere.

“What?!” the beast hovering in the sky opened its eyes wide before it saw the black sphere suffer numerous cuts that its brain couldn’t count. The sphere was cut into small pieces before another set of cuts followed and cut into even smaller pieces until there was nothing left but the void of a threat that once was.

“Ngh!” She gritted her teeth before she fell on her knee.

“Zelena!” Baik and the rest of the team unsung her name.

Meanwhile, the other adventurers finally snapped back to the reality that they thought they lost.

“She did it… SHE DID IT!” one adventurer exclaimed.

“The Fang did it!!” another followed.

“Le-vi-a-than! Le-vi-a-than!” shouted one of the adventurers as he raised his hand in victory before the rest chanted their name.

Lyon turned and smiled hearing the adventurers got their morales back on track. They had just escaped an impending doom that could wipe out their lives as well as the town they were settling in in a devastating instant.

Moris gave out a thumbs up whilst he was on the ground with his chest heaving up and down. He couldn’t keep it for long before his arm gave out on him, but nonetheless, he was smiling albeit one of his eyes was squinting hard.

Then one by one, adventurers started to clap in celebration. Sakya was smiling looking at Farash in a rare occurrence. She lightly punched her stomach before the latter turned grim and threw her off her shoulder.

“This is not the time for celebration yet!” the rough voice immediately stopped their happy mood.

They all turned around before seeing White Crow struggling to stand from the crater with his eyes glaring and brows furrowing. He was panting up and down before making another step. “The enemy is still out there! This is just one of its attacks!”

“White Crow is right!” Baiyun added from the other side, inviting the other adventurers to turn their attention to him. “The Swarm is still ongoing, we can’t celebrate now.”

“That’s a sure way to kill the mood,” Farash muttered before she sighed, “But he is right, the boss is still hovering under the moon.”

A shadow suddenly descended from the hole that the black sphere.

“Ngh!” Baiyun and the rest of the adventurers had their souls shackled by the presence that had just entered the town. Their eyes trembled at the same time as the being courted their attention.

The head was like that of a dragon and the body was made of scales with the color of onyx. It stood like that of a human and had a set of fangs that could rip a blade. The leathery wings were spread open to signify it’s arrogant and its arms were crossed.

“This is surely surprising, I never thought that someone living in this settlement is capable of reducing my Dark Nebula to such a state, truly surprising,” the cold-blooded eyes hovered toward the woman that was being surrounded by its party.

“W-What the hell is that??” Sakya muttered under her breath as she couldn’t help but feel her heart throbbing in all the wrong way.

( We all gonna die! ) screamed White Crow inwardly as he saw the beast hovering above like a death god trying to cleanse the sins of those below.

( Fuck, fuck, fuck! I can’t think at all! We are all sealed! Our fate is sealed! ) screamed Baiyun inwardly as he started to drench his temple with cold sweat.

“Well, well, try not to look into my sister-in-law that way, would you? My wife would kill me, albeit she would kill you first though hahahaha!”

All adventurers had their eyes opened wide as the words took a hold of the shackles that bound their souls before they darted their glance to find someone was hovering in the air.

Zelena looked up with all the strength she had left. One of her eyes gave up on her but she still could tell who it was.

The beast didn’t have a pleasant sight as its brows furrowed. Its cold-blooded eyes looked at the man that stood right in front of him with a few steps distance. It glared, but the man was nonchalant against its mighty front. The latter had his hair fluttered before the beast asked.

“Who are you?”

“If you knew, you would have run already,” Lyon smirked before he crossed his arms and leaned back with his right leg sitting on top of the left. He further taunted him with a nod up.
