Chapter 872: Objective
Luna turned her glance toward Lyon with her eyes widened. He was the stroke of fate that Cecile talked about, however, the statements only popped up more questions inside her head. She darted her glance back toward Cecile before asking.
“What do you mean?”
“He was partly responsible for Heaven’s betrayal, although not in a way that you would think,” Cecile shook her head. “It was an opportunity that perhaps won’t happen a second time.”
“That bad?” Lyon raised his brows.
“The entire situation is worse than you think,” Cecile shook her head. “However, that’s the gist of it for now.”
“What? C’mon, you’re getting to the good part here.”
“No, any more information than that is not necessary nor would it be beneficial for you, after all, you will experience it later,” Cecile smiled before turning around and biting her lower lip.
Lyon shrugged. “Ah well, if that’s what you decide, I have no choice but to roll with it.”
Luna nodded. “Perhaps the story is too heavy for us to continue further, I can feel that the night won’t be enough to tell the whole thing.”
“You’re right,” Lyon sighed. “Alright, let me summarize this. So Heaven and Hell, both realms are fighting for a share of the Mortal World? Somehow, Hell got ditched out of the Mortal Worlds and somehow I was involved in that. Then, Heaven put up a seal on the main path so that Hell couldn’t access the Mortal World anymore. After that… hmm… so they erased my existence after Heaven sealed the path?” Lyon furrowed his brows before he put his hands on his waist. “What a bunch of assholes! After I helped them too.”
The group turned silent before Lumina stood up, “Either way, don’t forget your original objective here.”
Lyon darted his glance toward Lumina before he smirked and nodded. “Of course, we are going to meet Selena and as well, try to find a shaman or something to help my teacher’s arm.”
“You really never forget a thing when it involves a woman, do you?” Lumina sighed.
“Nope, haha!” Lyon laughed merrily before he turned at Zelena. “So you’ve lived with her for quite some time.”
“What do you want?” Zelena asked coldly.
Lyon was jolted by her sharp glare before he smiled wryly inwardly. ( Perhaps our first meeting was too rough ) thought Lyon. “Can you tell me how she is over the years?”
“What do you mean?”
“You know, like does she eat well, does she train diligently or some sort?” asked Lyon.
Zelena furrowed her brows before she closed her eyes, “You know Lyon, what you act and what you say sometimes contradicts. At first glance, I see you as a pervert, but it seems like you actually care about her and not just her body.”
“What?” Lyon raised his brows while the others laughed. “Well of course I care about her well-being, in case you forgot, she is my wife.”
Zelena snorted, “She is eating well, trains diligently, and still have a that serious look in her eyes everywhere she goes.”
“Serious look? Is she really that cold of a person?” Lyon raised his brows.
“She is your wife, shouldn’t you know about this stuff?”
“Well her first impression was amazing, I can tell you that, hehe,” Lyon smirked as he remembered how that woman broke the space right above Nostria. Trembling all those below her before making them sleep their consciousness away. The kiss tha intertwined his fate, the kiss that started his journey of reclaiming himself.
Zelena felt a shudder seeing Lyon’s smile. “Ugh, I don’t want to know your details, spare me that.”
“I’m not going to,” Lyon rolled his eyes. “It’s good though, she is doing well.”
Lyon smiled as his eyes went distant. Suddenly he took a deep breath before putting his hands behind his back and leaned. “But then, if the situation is as tense as Cecile said, how the hell are we going to help Karina?”
“It’s going to be a hard one,” Cecile sighed. “If even Selena is keeping a lookout on the ones guarding the seal, most likely that they could Paradise in flash.”
“Well, what if we killed it first?” Lyon said.
“We are not talking about a beast here,” Cecile shook her head. “Paradise has highly feared cultivators inside them, if one of them is here, then it would be a big battle that would eventually catch unnecessary attention.”
“Hmm, that’s not assuring,” Lyon muttered. “But what about healers with anti-mana-based cultivation? They should be around here?”
“That’s our only hope— at least to resolve the matter serenely,” Cecile smirked. “Though it seems like they’re not here.”
Lyon sighed, “What I should do now?”
“Heh, that’s not like you to give up so easily,” Lumina uttered with a smile. “It’s not like it’s the end of the world Lyon, perhaps we ran into some shaman on the way, or Selena might know something interesting.”
“En,” Lyon nodded. “You’re right, I haven’t had the slightest idea what to do, but it should be time to visit her anyway.”
“Are you sure that it’s just a visit?” Kesya made a cheeky smile. “I wonder what would happen though, hehe.”
Cecile snorted a smile, “Hehe, you all better put on your best behaviors, else she will cut your neck.”
“What?” Lyon raised his brows. “The last time I saw her, she is not that crazy, but your stories succeeds in making me doubt myself.”
“Well, of course, she would go all lovey-dovey with you, you’re her husband, however, when it comes to other women, she didn’t care in the slightest if the woman was a saint. She would lob her head off of her neck,” said Kesya as she made a gesture with her thumb streaking across her neck slowly.
“So she is a jealous witch?” Lumina easily claimed.
“I better watch my mouth if I were you, she knew your existence as well,” said Cecile with a chuckle.
“Alright, maybe not the best time to say this, but when are you going to depart?” asked Luna to Lyon.
“What better time than tomorrow?”
“Are you sure that you don’t want to bathe in the praises they’re singing for you tomorrow?” Lumina asked.
“As much as I want to bask in the limelight, I haven’t immersed myself in what the hell just happened while I was asleep, besides, why would I want to delay seeing my wife and seeking my mother?” Lyon shrugged his shoulder.
“That’s a surprise, I never thought that you would be a family man after what you did to me,” Zelena rolled her eyes.
“Hey, you’re the one that attacked me first,” said Lyon.
“No, I’m not, I just want to tease you.”
“And you get the horns,” Lyon chuckled.
Zelena snorted and glanced away. “Are you certain that you want to go to the Twin Tower tomorrow? The beasts roaming there is no joke.”
“Joke or not, I have to see her, regardless, it’s been a promise since she gave me the ring,” Lyon smiled before standing up, “Alright then, first thing tomorrow.”
Lyon stretched his arms before yawning audibly and throwing himself on the bed. The sheets immediately swallowed his figure slowly as he sunk deeper and deeper into the sinless state.
Cecile raised her brows, “Hmm, that’s a rare one.”
“He’s asleep just like that as if he didn’t get his face blown off by a Daemon,” Luna smiled. “That’s actually amazing.”
“I think that’s it for the night,” Kesya clasped her hands.
“Hmph,” Zelena turned before stopping as her hand grabbed the knob of the door. She glanced over her shoulder, “I will see you tomorrow morning then.”
Cecile smiled and nodded before the door was closed.
Zelena was walking in the hall before a voice prompted her to pause.
“It seems like you’ve healed,” a silvery voice of a woman was heard.
“Farash,” Zelena furrowed her brows before she saw the Water Guild’s leader appear with her hand on her waist. “What do you want?”
“No need to be rude like that,” Farash smiled. “I just want to ask you a few things about him.”
“Him?”
“Who else?” Farash smirked.
Zelena closed her eyes before she walked past her and said, “You can ask him yourself, I’m sure he would be delighted to see a fine femme fatale such as yours to be his companion.”
“No need to be rude, it’s not like I sleep around for fun,” Farash smiled. “You need to learn the trick of the trade Zelena, I’m sure someone as careful as you know how my past forces me to use my body to reach the point that I am today?”
Zelena stopped advancing before turning around. She smirked, “You think you have what it takes to conquer him?”
“Such a strong word,” Farash chuckled under her palm before her glance turned sharp. “Don’t worry, they always grovel for more, that’s where I have them on a leash.”
“Good luck with that,” Zelena smirked before she turned.
“Oh?” Farash watched Zelena kept going furthe
