Chapter 58 Movie Launch

*************

CHAPTER 58

She was draped in long peacock midnight, shimmering gown, and a sweetheart neckline that helped accentuate her upper body curve, showing her well-grown breast while revealing her slim waist and spaghetti straps.

Several peacock feathers decorated the divine outfit, cascading freely from her waist to the floor, coming around the front to a stop at her waist.

She took a step forward, her long creamy legs, a perfect contrast to her outfit displaying the front part of her gown, which had a big C-cut coming upfront, leaving it bare.

Underneath the flare of peacock feathers facing westward, was a short matching green coloured skirt, stopping on top of her thighs, giving all the men a good show of her seductive skin.

Fang Qian placed a hand on her hip, moving her right shoulder forward a bit to showcase the dazzling black glittering lacy top part of her gown as her dark eyeshadow glowed for a match.

A small dangerous smile formed around the corners of her lips, emphasizing her red lipstick, pulling up to her eyes.

With her smile still on, she swung her hand holding her designer's black purse while her hair was packed to the back, and adorned with a black fishnet that enhanced her character all too well.

On her hands were matching net small hand gloves, leaving her fingers free to show her gold finger rings. To sum up, the ensemble was her gold necklace and earrings.

The second eyes landed on the outfit, they shimmered in complete adoration.

Of a truth, she was a star and her personality carried the outfit.

As much as people admired her beauty, their thoughts were instantly thrown to the spectacular design of the dress.

Immediately questions began to fly at her as the reporters present wished to know which designer had done such great wonders.

Her smile brightened by their question but her lips remained sealed. Just then another car drove up front and Liu Xueyi stepped out. She turned when she heard the crowd calling out his name.

"Ye Yuan! Ye Yuan!"

He smiled lashed his killer smile at them and walked up to Fang Qian. For the sake of the premiere, he had to do this for appearance's sake.

He wore a similar green tuxedo, to compliment her outfit with silver linings decorating the edges. His blonde hair was neatly combed back adding to his shine.

And his trademark black dot birthmark close to his nose only brought out a spark in him.

As much as he tried not to look like Liu Xueyi, he ensured his charms remained. He walked up to where she was and readied his elbow for her to take.

"You two look good together."

"How are you feeling about the launch of your third major movie together?" One of the reporters asked.

"Thrilled as usual," Fang Qian responded.

"Miss Fang, are you and Mr. Ye in a relationship?"

"Fang Qian, your outfit looks exquisite. No doubt it must have cost a fortune."

"Fang Qian, which designer had the joy of crafting such a masterpiece?"

"Huh, well it was from Liu's company's fashion line. As for the name of the designer…"

"That remains a mystery," Liu Xueyi cut in, smiling.

Andromeda had informed him that she did not want the public to learn of her so soon and he agreed. He also informed Fang Qian that Liu Corporation did not want their designers to be known yet but she was about to answer now had he been absent

Feeling his warm palm gently tapping her hand, Fang Qian could feel the guilt kicking in her mind.

She had almost done what she was warned against. All she could do to ease the tension in her nerves were broadened her smile and wink at the camera.

"Shall we? I bet it is about to start," she informed Liu Xueyi.

"Okay."

On getting inside, they met their co-stars and other important guest and exchanged pleasantries. It did not take long before the event kick-started fully.

Andromeda got to her residence and quickly went up to her room to freshen up. Once she was done, she decided to fish out her phone from her bag and listen to some cool music when her eyes landed on the file again.

'It would be my pleasure drinking to celebrate the beginning of your downfall. Just you wait. I would steal your shine and make you go down the drain, Wu Bai.'

Her eyes blazed with hatred the more she stared at the file. Yes, it held her freedom but it reminded her why she was feeling sad.

However, as angry as she was, she could not help but feel a sense of sadness washing over her.

She rested on her bed, just allowing more thoughts to rummage in her mind and keep fueling her anger. Although she was tired, she just wanted to do something different and she needed that boost to get out of the house.

After a while, she got up and picked out a bodycon black gown and a pair of heels to get dressed in.

Moving to the mirror, she applied little lipstick to enhance her lovely lips and made a bit of touch-up to her face. "Perfect. Now we are all set. All I am missing is a comrade to celebrate with.

She strode over to her bed and picked up her phone. Before long she clicked on one of her contacts and dialed the number.

"Hey, Jun," she smiled into the call. "How are you?"

"Andro-Love, how are you doing?"

"Same old. Nothing much," she shrugged and took a seat on her bed.

"So, what's popping? Anything for a lonely friend like me?" Gu Jun asked.

"Yes. Let go drinking."

"Huh, Andromeda, are you okay?"

"Yes. I feel like unwinding and you know, be free. I am free."

"Tsk, silly girl. I am sorry, I would have to bounce."

"Ouchie," she placed a hand on her chest dramatically. "You hurt my fragile heart Jun."

"I am sorry. I have a deadline to submit at midnight and I am only halfway into the work. I need to crack my brain to finish things up. And you know, not even a one-centimeter error."

"Fine. I would go on my own. These are the perks of not having more friends."

"Andromeda," he called out her name slowly. "You know I would not miss drinking with you but turns out, I am…"

"Busy," she finished for him. "I know. I am not faulting you. Don't worry, let me not keep you, I would be heading out soon. Have fun."

"Bye, darling. Be safe."

"No worries. I promise not to drink too much."
