CHAPTER 342 - The Beginning of the End

At the time of the next trial, everyone took to their seat and waited for the judge's arrival.

Recalling the last trial and how it went, several eyes were instantly flung towards Andromeda's direction.

As much as she wished to ignore them, keeping her focus on the trial, she could not help but smile when she felt a pair of eyes on her.

The menacing glare she got some a certain duo proved to her just how much they hated her and how they could not wait to jubilate in their victory for taking her down.

'You underestimated me, Wu Bai, Beatrice Zhang. I shall prove to you that the gentle movement of a tiger doesn't mean it is timid.'

On the other hand, Liu Xueyi kept a smiling face as he darted his eyes from Andromeda to their enemy and then stylishly glanced around while tapping his feet gently on the ground.

A couple of minutes passed and soon the door pulled open as a man wearing a black gown and a white collar with his white cap on his head stepped in.

"All rise," the Bailiff's voice echoed quickly, trying to march the entry of the Indifferent judge.

While Beatrice could not be bothered by the judge's entry, she fixed her attention instead on Andromeda.

However, when she saw the smug smile plastered on Andromeda's face as she rose to her feet, she was forced to check what had happened that led to that.

Immediately she laid eyes on the judge, she soon understood what had gotten Andromeda that way in the first place as her proud smile was instantly replaced with shock.

To everyone's surprise, they saw the supposedly injured judge, Judge Junjie take a step up the podium, majestically making his way towards the judge's seat till he was seated.

After which, everyone was seated following due order.

Beatrice Zhang felt her knees weaken with each passing second even when everyone had taken their seat, she found it hard to do the same until Attorney Longwei whispered to her.

When her shock wore off, she responded timidly. "Yes."

She blinked, taking a deep breath as she carefully took her seat and watched the trial proceed.

Andromeda chuckled softly at the turn of events and unlike Beatrice, Wu Bai took the whole situation calmly.

However, being with someone and loving that person wholeheartedly made her learn all about his hates and likes, his habits, both good and bad.

One such was how he was when he got scared and nervous.

His palms sweated a lot and his brows quirked beyond his control.

As a result, it was safe to say he was nervous when he was in a tense situation and he kept on rubbing his palm or wiping it clean with a white handkerchief.

And if he managed to evade that, the next two were an impossible state.

Andromeda's eyes landed on his leg, seeing them shake restlessly. To normal eyes, it could have easily missed but not her and definitely not when his brows moved.

She knew him so much and could guess he was facing a much bigger problem than Beatrice Zhang.

Giving his go-ahead, Judge Junjie was briefed on the last trial before giving his go-ahead.

Not that he needed it, he had everything he needed. He got his proof of matters and he heard everything that happened.

His eyes moved slowly, taking his time to view everyone involved in this case until his eyes landed on Liu Xueyi and then Andromeda.

**Flashback**

The door to the hospital ward was pushed open with Liu Xueyi and Liu Xiao Xin walking into the room.

Both parties came to a stop close to the bed as they looked at the middle-aged man lying on his bed.

"You are not supposed to be granted an audience," Judge Junjie stated and furrowed his brows at both of them.

"Yes, but we had to do what we could to get to see you."

"Why?" He asked cutting Liu Xueyi's shot.

He was not one to beat around the bush and liked things to be stated sharply.

"I think you would be extremely interested in seeing this, alongside other pieces of evidence that prove this case you presided over was tampered with."

"Hmm, it is no longer my case and I am hospitalized. I cannot…"

Liu Xueyi did not give him the opportunity to complete his statement before interjecting.

"And what if I prove to you that your accident was no accident? It was arranged to prevent you from coming to the trial."

"I wouldn't say I am surprised. However, do you have proof? In the court of law, we do more with profs than hearsay or any problem."

"I have proof."

"Okay. I hope it is not the case with your fashion designer, Ms. Andromeda Kai did with the other judge, presenting an empty evidence drive, just to stall for time?"

Having one insult him or speak ill of him did not bother Liu Xueyi but doing it to Andromeda was against him.

He balled his hands at his side as his jaw tightened. Still, he kept his words silent.

"She never gave an empty disk. If it was empty, then there are questionable matters there."

"How sure are you?"

"Because I watched the tape with her and saw her keep it in a small pocket in her bag. Of which she took to trial. There was no way she deleted by mistake and instead of you lying down there and recounting a misdeed by someone else, I suggest you pull through and be ready for work."

**Flashback Ends**

Having a quick rundown of how everything went, Judge Junjie nodded his head at Liu Xueyi before he gave his speech.

"I know many of you are wondering how I am still here giving the unfortunate incident that befell me?"

No one spoke and waited for his matter to be explained.

"Thanks to some evidence gotten, the wrongdoings of certain individuals were exposed and I was once more brought back to the case. Now, I will ensure no one escapes punishment."
