Chapter 509 Stubborn Beifang

CHAPTER 509
Their tongues danced in a sensual and fervent embrace, conveying emotions that words could not.
In that moment all Andromeda could think of was him—him and nothing else, not even all the catching up she wanted to do.
As they finally parted, breathless and flushed with desire, Andromeda's eyes locked onto his. "I couldn't help myself," she confessed in a breathy whisper. "I bloody missed you, honey."
"Me too, love." Liu Xueyi smiled, a mixture of desire and affection in his eyes. "I've been waiting for that," he admitted. "But let's not rush. There's so much I want to say to you, to share with you."
They moved away from the entrance, finding a more comfortable spot on the nearby couch.
Liu Xueyi leaned back comfortably on the couch, his arm draping across the backrest. Andromeda sat beside him, her eyes never leaving his face.
Andromeda's voice, tinged with flirtatiousness, was filled with genuine affection. "I've been eager to see you again. This last week has been... eventful."
Liu Xueyi grinned, his dark eyes twinkling with amusement.
"Oh, I heard you almost had another episode with a fan and you handled it incredibly well. Also, Zheng Wei informed me of the photoshoots you have been doing. He has tried reaching out to some clients for you. It will be good for your image. I'm proud of you."
Andromeda blushed at the compliment. "Well, I might have been a little stressed at first, but I realised it was nothing compared to dealing with the infamous Liu Xueyi. Also, thank you for letting your manager take charge of things for me."
He chuckled, the sound deep and melodic. "You're welcome pumpkin," he said and placed a soft kiss on her lips.
"So," he continued, clearing his throat, "I've reached 'infamous' status, have I?"
Andromeda nodded, a sly smile curving her lips. "Absolutely. You're infamous for making me weak in the knees."
His laughter was infectious, and Andromeda felt a warmth spreading through her. "Well, it's only fair," he said, his tone playful. "You have a reputation too, you know."
She raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh? What kind of reputation is that?"
"The kind that involves keeping a certain CEO up at night, wondering when he'll see you again," Liu Xueyi replied, his eyes smouldering.
Andromeda's heart fluttered at his words. "Is that so? And what does this certain CEO have in mind for the lovely lady who's been occupying his thoughts?"
He leaned in closer, his lips dangerously close to her ear. "Well, I thought we could start by enjoying a quiet dinner together."
She shivered at the feel of his warm breath against her skin. "A dinner with the CEO and top actor himself? Sounds rather extravagant."
He pulled back slightly, his gaze intense. "Only the best for you."
Andromeda's heart raced, and her eyes sparkled with excitement. "I'd love that, Xueyi."
With an affectionate smile, he pressed a gentle kiss to her lips. "Then it's a date," Liu Xueyi added, sealing their plans.
Their lips met again, a slow and sensual kiss that conveyed their longing and affection.
"It's a date but for now, show me just how much you missed me."
Liu Xueyi's brows arched up seeing a challenge set in stone before relaxing his brows and bringing his forehead close to hers.
"I love a good challenge. Let's show each other just how much."
He brought his lips to hers, itching for a kiss. Andromeda tilted her head back a little, her blue eyes staring into his black ones.
"Here?"
"I'll have you anywhere, my love."
"Okie." Her giggles were instantly silent by his hungry breathtaking kiss as he immediately put his plan in motion.

Having returned from a long day at work, Kai Beifang felt a wave of relief wash over him as he entered his spacious bedroom.
The day's stress seemed to fade away as he contemplated a relaxing evening. He quickly went into the bathroom, emerging sometime later after a hot, soothing shower.
lightsnοvεl The scent of his cologne wafted through the air as he walked out, clad in crisp white shirt and tailored slacks.
To his surprise, Fang Mei was sitting on their bed, her expression far from welcoming. Her usually warm eyes were now laced with suspicion and something he couldn't quite place.
He halted in his tracks, a concerned furrow appearing on his brow. "Mei, what's the matter?"
To his surprise, she didn't mince words. "Andromeda."
Her husband blinked, taken aback by the sudden mention of his daughter.
Something told him it had to do with her appearance at the company yesterday or perhaps, had Andromeda paid them a visit in his absence too?
Quickly he regained his composure and asked, "What about her?"
Fang Mei's voice trembled with frustration. "You didn't mention that she visited the company yesterday. I had to hear it from the employees."
Kai Beifang let out a sigh. His expression was a mix of resignation and irritation. "I didn't see the need to inform you. We didn't even have a conversation, just a brief encounter," he lied.
Although brief, they had each spoken tons of angry words at each other with Fang Mei being one of the main objects of discussion.
Fang Mei's lips formed a thin line. "Why did she come? What did you discuss?"
Kai Beifang frowned, feeling the tension in the room rise. "Mei, you know we haven't had a proper conversation in years. I didn't see a reason to engage in one with her now. Especially after everything that happened this year."
The room seemed to grow colder as Fang Mei's frustration heightened. "Andromeda is your daughter, Beifang. Ignoring her won't make her disappear and I know she doesn't like me or my children. Is it hard to want to know?"
He took a step closer to her, his voice low but firm. "Mei, you know the history between us and Andromeda. She made her choice and I made mine. I chose this family. If she doesn't be sure I will be by your side."
Fang Mei's eyes softened with a hint of sadness. "She is young, and she made a mistake. I've forgiven her, Beifang. I just wish she could too."
Kai Beifang couldn't hide the anger that welled up within him. "A mistake that threatens to tear this family apart, that tore myself and her apart? No I do not think so."
His wife's voice was filled with longing. "I understand you. I was wondering if she came to apologize and make amends with the family. After all, you are her father."
He scoffed loudly and shook his head, his features hardening. "You do not know Medah like I do. She is as stubborn as a rock."
"I bet she took that from you," Fang Mei teased, trying to lighten the mood like a good wife.
Immediately his expression hardened. "Mei, this is not the time to bring up Andromeda."
Fang Mei, undeterred, pressed on. "Why not? I heard she visited because of some business issue. What did she want?"
Kai Beifang's patience was running thin. "She wanted to talk about the company's involvement with the Sun family, but that's irrelevant now."
Fang Mei's voice remained steady. "You're still keeping things from me, Beifang."
Even though she behaved this way, she was trying to get the personal intent that Cao Meng failed to get and deep down she was filled with rage.
Rage that the one chance Fang Daiyu got at being way better than Andromeda, the latter wanted to sabotage the family's union.
Kai Beifang's eyes flashed with irritation. "Mei, don't start. I've made my decisions. Andromeda chose to leave. We can't change the past."
Fang Mei stood her ground maintaining her facade, her expression pained. "I'm not asking you to change the past, Beifang. We have a second chance to be a family."
On the other hand, Kai Beifang's resolve wavered, but he refused to yield. "We are a family, Mei. We have Daiyu and Chen."
Fang Mei's voice grew softer, filled with sadness. "Andromeda may not be my child but her mother was close to me. I only wish to care for her."
Kai Beifang sighed and closed the gap between them as he leaned in and pecked her on the lips. "I understand. One day she would see the truth that you love her and do not want to replace her."
"Yes, one day, she will," Fang Mei echoed back.
He pulled her closer, placing a peck on her forehead as he hugged her close. Unknown to him, her eyes darkened as she tightened her jaw, filled with so much hate.
She had so much to do and now things were only beginning. As much as bringing Andromeda down took precedence, in her heart, taking Fang Daiyu up the social ladder and securing Kai Chen's future was overly more important.
'Just wait and see, Andromeda Kai. I shall take everything from you and leave you with nothing.' Fang Mei voiced internally.
