Chapter 204 - The Worst Luck (2)

Xiong Jingfei turned her head towards the direction she was heading, acting like she didn't notice him. It was hard to act like she didn't see him when all those leaving the classroom saw him. They at least glance at him once or twice before walking away.

She begged in her head that he wasn't here for her, and was waiting for someone else as long as it was not her! 

Wishful thinking, honestly. 

"Feifei, I want to talk to you." 

Xiong Jingfei kept walking. Yeah, it made more sense he was here for her when there wasn't anyone in her class that appears to be his acquaintance.

Feng Huan shouted when she kept walking faster, "If you don't stop, I will make a bigger scene!"

Aren't you already making a scene!? Xiong Jingfei sighed and slowly turned back around with a smile on her face. "Oh! I did not see you there… Feng Huan."

She looked to the left and right to find the ghost that is always haunting him, but she was nowhere near or far. Well, she shouldn't be around him anymore, but just in case, it was still good to check. 

Zhao Fan's current reputation on campus is that she is Lu Weisheng's girlfriend. She will only receive nasty rumors and gossip in return by hanging out with her ex-boyfriend, even if he is a childhood friend.

Still, Zhao Fan is a person who would replace you once you're no longer of use to her. She will cut you off for personal gain as she did in the past.

Although thanks to her selfishness, Feng Huan is set free from her again.

"Feifei, so the rumors are true. Your voice is back." Feng Huan smiled, a rare one. "I'm happy to hear your voice again."

He wanted to pull her into a hug to congratulate her, but she wouldn't like it if he did. He wasn't sure if he had the right to be happy for her too, not after promising to stay with her when she lost her voice. Then he goes and betrays her. 

"Thank you."

Xiong Jingfei had not thanked anyone once for congratulating her on her voice, but she had to do it for Feng Huan. His words had always been sincere and true to his feelings. 

"Feng Huan, what is it that you want to talk about?" Xiong Jingfei asked, checking the time on her phone. "Is it important? If not, can we talk about it at another time?" 

Xiong Jingfei was in a hurry to catch Lu Xuefeng before he left his office. She asked Lu Weisheng to check his schedule, and he was still in, but he was leaving soon for a meeting outside.

Feng Huan didn't show it on his face, but it did hurt that she was in a hurry to leave. But, he did notice that she wasn't ignoring him like in the past. She turned around and spoke to him. Usually, she will act as if she was passing by a stranger.

On top of that, she wasn't saying that she didn't have time for him. She asked if they can reschedule for a different time to talk.

Feng Huan hesitated to answer right away. What changed her? Did she forgive me already?

"It's important," Feng Huan answered, clenching onto something inside his pocket. "Please spare me a moment of your time."

"Okay…" Xiong Jingfei replied, disappointed she had to hold off on Lu Xuefeng.

Feng Huan took her to a quiet place that was still on campus. A place that not many people come and go, so it helped avoid any unnecessary rumors between them. He didn't want another gossip about him to go around again, one time with Zhao Fan was enough.

"What do you have to say to me?" Xiong Jingfei got straight to the point. She was hoping she'll still catch Lu Xuefeng in time. 

Feng Huan also didn't want to take too much of her time too. He pulled out the item he's been clenching onto in his pocket. 

It was a black velvet ring box.

Is he planning to propose to me? Xiong Jingfei almost choked on her saliva. He should know it's impossible because I'm already engaged!

Just as Feng Huan was saying and opening the ring case. "Feifei, I wanted to-"

A female voice called out to him, "Feng Huan! There you are!"

Feng Huan instantly snapped the ring case closed and shoved it back into his pocket. He came to an area that not many people know of, but someone still managed to find him!

Haaah… The corner of Xiong Jingfei's lips twitched. The female voice calling out Feng Huan's name did not belong to the haunting ghost Zhao Fan. 

Still, it was someone she knows! Really… People from her past just can't stop themselves from finding her. She hasn't gone out of her way to look for them, and they're popping up left and right for her. 

"Feng Huan~, I didn't think I'd find you here."

The woman ran up to Feng Huan and wrapped her arms around him as if they were dating. She was all smiles from all sides of her face. Even her cheeks were perky with a shade of redness.

"What a coincidence you're here~!" The woman said, snuggling closer to Feng Huan. 

Indeed this is a coincidence~! Xiong Jingfei's twitching lips turned into a sinister smile. It's been way too long, so don't blame me when you came to me yourself! You should've kept yourself hidden while you can, but no, you didn't!

"Don't touch me," Feng Huan growled, pulling his arm away from her. "Didn't I tell you to stop doing this, Xia Guang!"

Xia Guang? Xiong Jingfei examined the woman named Xia Guang up and down. Is your name Xia Guang in this lifetime? Pfft! Nothing about you had changed except for your surname!

"B-but…" Xia Guang looked devastated that he pulled away from her. She blushed so deeply that her entire face turned red. "I… You know that I like you…"

Xiong Jingfei started laughing. Feng Huan just got rid of one, and another one crawls into his life. 

She doesn't know if it's a blessing in disguise that she didn't run off to find Lu Xuefeng right away. Or else, she would've missed the person she hated more than Zhao Fan!
