"Did you witness what transpired there?" Inside the dimly illuminated student council room, the president, with cold, piercing eyes, questioned her attendant.
"Yes, your Highness. Just as you have foreseen, Arthur Nightlance and his partner, Celia Leafsnow, were present alongside a demon," the attendant replied, bowing his head deferentially.
"Good. I assume they were successful in defeating the demon?" the president inquired, her tone demanding an answer.
"Well, when it comes to that..." the attendant hesitated, choosing his words carefully. "To be frank, it wasn't Celia Leafsnow or Arthur Nightlance who ultimately vanquished the demon."
The president's interest was piqued. "Explain."
"While the battle was raging, Arthur Nightlance inexplicably abandoned Celia Leafsnow, leaving her alone on the battlefield. He wore a disturbed expression and muttered to himself about the nature of the situation."
The president's eyes narrowed, her mind racing to comprehend the implications. "Continue."
"As the demon's strength escalated from a five-star rank to a formidable six-star rank, the situation became dire."
Hearing this, the president's eyes narrowed more. "The strength of the demon increased?"
"Yes. At first, it was a five-star, just as your highness has said. But, after its strength increased, Arthur Nightlance made the decision to retreat. However, before the demon could deliver a fatal blow to Celia, another individual appeared."
"Another person?" the president echoed, her curiosity mounting.
"Yes, a man with brown hair and hazel eyes. He single-handedly overpowered and vanquished the demon," the attendant relayed, his voice tinged with awe.
The president's thoughts raced as she processed the information. "What was his profession?"
"He was a mage, an elemental mage, to be precise. His mastery over all attributes was remarkable, but his prowess in fire magic was particularly exceptional. His spells demonstrated a level of complexity and power beyond the ordinary."
"An elemental mage with brown hair and hazel eyes, excelling in fire magic," the president mused aloud, committing the details to memory. Her mind raced at a fast speed as her cold purple eyes locked into the window.

The attendant noticed the woman tapping her finger on the chair handle, indicating that she was deep in thought. The attendant patiently waited for her to speak.
"Dirk."
"Yes, your Highness."
"For now, I want you to monitor Arthur Nightlance and report to me his every move as possible."
"Understood."
? , ? ? ? ? ? ?.
"You may leave."
As the man disappeared from the room, the girl was left alone inside the room, her eyes shining purple; who knew what she had thought….
The night was long as the girl raised her hands, a play of fire illuminating the room.
"Everything is changing…." She mumbled as the fire took the shape of a dragon…
"Why do I feel like it is because of you, Callius Augustride?"
*********
As the sun began to rise, casting a gentle glow over the academy grounds, the students slowly gathered in the common area, preparing for another day of learning and growth.
Excitement and anticipation buzzed in the air as whispers of conversation filled the space. After all, today was slightly different from any other normal day.
Amidst the chatter, a group of friends huddled together, their voices blending in a symphony of youthful enthusiasm.
"Did you hear? Today, we have two practical lessons back-to-back! For the rehearsal of the Mid-term exams…" exclaimed Alex, a vibrant and energetic student known for his love of hands-on experiences.
Sharon, a studious and diligent learner, nodded in agreement. "Yes, I've been looking forward to this! It's a chance to put our knowledge into practice and refine our skills. They always say that academic exams are very difficult. We will need every bit of knowledge we can muster…"
Sophia, the group's resident strategist, chimed in, a mischievous smile playing on her lips. "I wonder what kind of practical tasks await us this time. I hope it's something challenging yet exhilarating!"
As they continued to discuss the upcoming lessons, their excitement was contagious, attracting the attention of other students nearby.
"I heard rumors that Professor Alder was going to make us spar once again. But this time it was going to be a sword spar…." whispered Lucas, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. "He always pushes us to our limits, but his lessons are the most rewarding."I think you should take a look at
Sarah, a newcomer to the academy, a person that was sick before, listened intently, her curiosity piqued. "I hope I can keep up with everyone. Practical lessons can be intense, but they offer such valuable hands-on experience."
Amidst the buzz of conversation, snippets of anticipation and eagerness could be heard from various groups of students.
"I hope we get to work with potions today. I find the art of brewing fascinating," remarked Lily, a student known for her interest in alchemy.
"What are you saying? Are you drunk, Lily? We don't have alchemy Class today?" James, a skilled mage, chimed in, his eyes shining with excitement. "I've been practicing my fire spells all week. I can't wait to burn something in the magic class. Instructor Cernais said he would be giving us some insights about our magic. "
Laughter and camaraderie filled the air as the students shared their aspirations and dreams for the day's practical lessons. It was a time of growth and discovery, where they could test their abilities and learn from one another.
As the students immersed themselves in their conversations, their attention was suddenly drawn toward the entrance of the classroom, where they could see a young man with a striking appearance.
At least that was how he looked like before, with his shiny aura that would illuminate the surroundings coupled with his usual smile…
Arthur Nightlance, usually a charismatic and confident presence, entered with a noticeable change in his demeanor. As soon as they saw him, rumors started flying around quickly. This has been happening for the last two weeks.
At first, he still had his vibrant aura, but somehow slowly, he lost his radiance…
His usually vibrant and lively aura seemed diminished, replaced by a weariness that etched lines of exhaustion on his face. His eyes were overshadowed by dark circles, indicating that he had spent restless nights.
The room fell into a momentary silence as everyone assessed the transformation in their classmate. Concern flickered in their eyes, mixed with curiosity. "Arthur, are you all right?" Sharon asked, her voice laced with genuine worry. Since she was one of those that actually liked Arthur….
Arthur managed a weak smile, his voice carrying a hint of fatigue. "I'm... fine. Just a bit tired from some... personal matters." Sophia, always quick to notice details, leaned closer, her brows furrowed. "You look like you haven't slept. Is everything okay?" Arthur's eyes met Sophia's, a flicker of vulnerability passing through them, but he contained himself as he managed his expression.
"It's... complicated. Let's just say I've been dealing with some unexpected challenges."
Just as Arthur finished his words, the door opened once again, revealing an incredibly beautiful young girl with fiery red hair and yellow eyes. Instantly the room turned silent once again as the girl started walking towards the middle of class.
"Ah…. Emma…Good Mo-"
Just as Arthur was about to greet the girl, the girl passed beside him, ignoring him like he didn't exist.
Just as Arthur's voice trailed off, Emma's piercing gaze met his, her expression a mixture of disappointment and anger, her fiery red hair seemed to reflect her inner turmoil as she walked past him, deliberately ignoring his attempt at a greeting.
The room was filled with heavy silence as the other students observed the tension between the two childhood friends. Whispers circulated among the classmates, trying to make sense of the sudden rift, as this had been happening for quite a while…
"Grrrr…." Though, seeing this, the man that was ignored clenched his fists. "You bitch…." And a small mumble that nobody was able to hear left his mouth.
Sophia, always perceptive, stepped forward, her voice laced with concern. "Emma, is everything all right? What happened?"
Emma's eyes narrowed, her voice cutting through the air with a hint of venom. "Don't even bother asking, Sophia. It's none of your business. Let's just focus on our own tasks for today."
Her curt response and dismissive tone silenced the room once more, leaving the students with lingering questions and a sense of unease.
Lucas, usually known for his lighthearted nature, couldn't help but speak up, his voice tinged with disappointment. "Emma, we're all friends here. We care about each other. If something's wrong, we want to help."
Emma's face hardened as she turned to face Lucas, her voice laced with a mixture of anger and frustration. "This doesn't concern you or anyone else. Arthur made his choice, and I've made mine. Now, drop it."
Her firm words shut down any further attempts at the inquiry, leaving the classmates to exchange uncertain glances. The once vibrant atmosphere had turned somber, the weight of the unspoken conflict hanging in the air.
Just the presence of two people was enough to change the atmosphere of the class, after all….
