“I didn’t expect to use my powers in such a place.”

Isabella smiled awkwardly at Duke Kyar’s complaint.

“I’ll make it up to you later.”

“Yes, I’m looking forward to it.”

Isabella squeezed his hand in return.

“Go. You might miss it.”

“You know I’m not good at this, right?”

“If you don’t like it, should I let go of your hand?”

“Then, let it go.”

Duke Kyar held her hand tightly, and Isabella swallowed her laugh.

She had no idea why this big man kept acting cute.

But it didn’t matter right now.

Isabella and Duke Kyar continued to stalk Kyle and April, and the two children began observing the lake.

When Isabella winked at Duke Kyar,  the air in the atmosphere turned into ice.

“I felt much colder when we approached the lake,”  April said.

When Kyle saw her tiny body shiver, he took off his black cloak and quietly wrapped it around her shoulders.

April’s adoring gaze landed on Kyle’s face.

“You said you were cold,” Kyle said as he scratched his cheek shyly.

“Thank you very much, Kyle,”

“Should we go back to Rubella Castle?”

“No! I don’t feel that cold anymore if I’m wearing this cloak. I’m telling you the truth.”

“Well, we can stay here a little longer,” Kyle said.

Blushing, April nodded.

Isabella looked pleased as she examined the two adorable kids.

She shrank and crouched down while shivering in the cold.

The Northern Kingdom’s weather was hotter these days.

That was why she hadn’t drunk the red medicine.

The cold air Duke Kyar had emitted just now burrowed deep into her bones.

At that moment, Archduke Kyar placed his arm around her shoulders and pulled her into an embrace.

Isabella glanced up at him.

“I don’t have a cloak to remove for you, Isabella.” He whispered in her ear.

She had so many things that she wanted to say, but April and Kyle were in the vicinity.

Isabella would rather keep her mouth shut.

Earlier, Kyle and April were far from them so that she could talk to Duke Kyar without any worries.

But now the situation is different.

Isabella winked at Duke Kyar, but he ignored her signal.

She had no choice but to rest her head against his firm chest.

“Shall we go home now?” Kyle spoke to April.

Isabella hastily pushed Duke Kyar away so that they could hide immediately.

At first, he didn’t budge, but he did smirk when she pushed and struggled to escape from his arms.

Duke Kyar released her without warning.

Isabella narrowed her eyes at him and moved on.

April and Kyle had to get out of the woods before they could see them, so Duke Kyar and Isabella hurried out and walked back towards the garden.

“You did it on purpose, didn’t you?” Isabella asked.

Duke Kyar looked down at her with one eyebrow slightly raised.

“What?”

“Isabella. Are you even aware that you are touching me a lot these days?”

“Oh, that–”

He nodded slowly in agreement. “You seem to be very interested in my body.”

“Me? Me? When did I–”

“Isabella. Do you want me to get into the specific parts?”  He asked with an arrogant smirk. “How bold.”

Isabella rolled her eyes in annoyance.

When she recalled her fascination with his thighs yesterday, Isabella hastily replied. “All right.  Don’t say anything.”

It was embarrassing to hear her sins directly from his mouth.

“Anyway, thank you very much for today.”

“So, what’s the reward?”

“I have something for you— No. That’s not true. Please give me time to think about what I should do for you in return.”

No.

Isabella should not allow him to suggest something about the reward.

His answers were too obvious.

Why was she even asking if she knew what he wanted?

“Those two seemed to have gotten a little closer, don’t you think?”

When she saw Kyle and April coming out of the woods side by side, Isabella tried to change the subject quickly.

“It seems so.”

“I wish Young Master Kyle would have more people to rely on.”

She meant it.

Wouldn’t that make Kyle’s life a little happier?

Isabella sincerely hoped that Kyle would live a good life, unlike in the original novel.

“Yes. Just like how I keep you with me.”

A warm smile spread across Archduke Kyar’s face.

The gorgeous sight warmed her heart, and Isabella smiled back.

She wanted to see him smile more often.
