Chapter 2339: To the Guild

Alex found himself building up with rage at the thought of what had happened while he was away. He listened to the story in its entirety and how Pearl was forced to hide in this place in worry that the attackers would come once again.

Momo and Yuren sat to the side, listening to the conversation and adding their own thoughts when they found it appropriate.

Alex took a moment to think and calm down before turning toward the kids. "Are you two okay? I know you weren't physically hurt, but what about the rest? Are you still scared?"

Momo slowly nodded. "Yes, master."

"I can't say I'm not scared, senior. They did come after us where we thought we would be the safest," Yuren said.

"It will be alright now. I am here so you will be fine," Alex told him. "How is Moss doing?"n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"He's in his beast space. He's fine," Momo answered.

"As long as you are all fine, that is all that matters right now," Alex said. "Although, why are you guys in such a bad place? Was there no other good place for the senior to put you in?"

"It only appears bad," Pearl said. "But it's quite close for anyone to come help if we need it, and people don't usually look in such places anyway."

"That may be so, still," Alex said. "You should have asked for a better place to stay."

"That's because of me, senior," Yuren said. "I asked senior Whitepearl not to get a better place for us to stay in."

"You did? Why?" Alex asked.

"Because of the oath," Yuren said. "I'm not allowed in the guild or ask them for help. I can even accept what they give me only because they do not know who I am. If they found out, I would be out of help."

It took Alex a moment to remember that Yuren was the disciple of the disciple of Wineweed, the master of this place's guild. "Wow, this is practically your new home. I can't believe I forgot about that."

"It is," Yuren said. "But until the master is done with his first test, I cannot do anything." Alex nodded.

"Speaking of that, brother," Pearl chimed in. "What are you going to do about the secret realm? Do you have any plans of entering now?"

"Me?" Alex asked.

"Yes," the men said in unison.

"I'm sorry for flying, but I was just scared about my brother and disciple not being in their place, so I came in a hurry to check."

"We understand, but there are still fines to be paid for this. So you will need to come with us to the guild," one of them said.

Alex sighed. "I suppose I did break the rule," he said. "I will come."

He flew, escorted by the two elders of the guild, as they made their way toward it.

"You look familiar," one said on their way to the guild. "You wouldn't happen to be senior Silvermist's disciple, would you?"

Alex looked toward the two, wondering what his answer should be. How far did the rivalry between Silvermist and Wineweed extend? Would these two do anything to harm him if he decided to lie here?

'Lying would only hurt me in the end,' Alex thought and decided to answer truthfully.

"I am indeed, senior."

"No wonder. You did quite well in the tournament. You outdid our guild master's disciple. Congratulations," the two men said.

Alex felt a bit of a relief seeing that he was safe.

The two had a few more questions for Alex, mostly about where he came from and how he trained to be that good. Alex answered all the questions as there was nothing there for him to

hide.

After a while, they arrived at the guild where Alex was taken to pay the fine for breaking the rule. The fine turned out to be a few hundred Immortal spirit stones, which he paid without

much thought.

Then he asked to meet the Divinity who took care of Pearl and the others. Meeting the man was one of the thing he came here to do after all.
