Chapter 11
After the game opened, Shang Jin didn’t pay any more attention to Ye Zhou.
Ye Zhou finished cleaning and squeezed the candy, preparing to leave. His eyes swept over Shang Jin’s game interface.
As a person busy with real life, this kind of game was a little distant from him.
If he didn’t look at Shang Jin’s operation, Ye Zhou absolutely wouldn’t have expected that the girl wearing the fluttering fairy dress and simple ornament on her head was Shang Jin. To be precise, it was Shang Jin’s in-game character.
“You play a female??” Ye Zhou couldn’t help but look at Shang Jin some more. It really was too unexpected.
Shang Jin didn’t think that this was some great event that would shock the world. It was just a game. No matter if he created a male or female character, as long as the operation was good, the difference was insignificant. “Yeah.”
Xia Shang Zhou.
The name wasn’t feminine at all.
Ye Zhou moved the stool next to him. Sitting beside Shang Jin, there was a kind of permanent resident feeling.
Shang Jin gave him a glance. Seeing that his eyes were on the game, he said nothing and continued his operation.
Who knew that Ye Zhou was secretly visualizing in his mind at the moment.
He didn’t expect Shang Jin to actually play a female character. Don’t know if he would disguise himself as a girl and speak in a cutesy way.
If the men in the game chased and confessed to him, it’d be even more fun.
“Heheheheh…”
Shang Jin crossed his arms, leaned back against the chair and gave him a glance, saying, “What are you smirking about?”
“Why did you create a female character?” Ye Zhou really couldn’t figure out the reason why such a person like Shang Jin would play a female. “Do you like this type of girl?”
Shang Jin hooked up the corner of his mouth and asked, “Why, if I like it, are you planning to develop in this direction?”
Ye Zhou said indifferently, “Dreaming in the morning.” Finished saying this, he straightened up and returned to his dorm room while the people in 405 were still out.
Spreading out his palm with the spherical candy covered in pink candy wrapper, Ye Zhou grinned and threw the candy into the pen holder.
Recently, the school’s basketball team and an outside school were going to hold a friendly match, and Ye Zhou was incomparably thankful to the school for an event that could distract everyone’s attention.
There were two basketball team members in the class, namely Xu Yangjun from Ye Zhou’s dorm and Zhan Xing from Shang Jin’s dorm.
“Exactly who was it who said that playing basketball would be popular?” Xu Yangjun wiped off the sweat with his wristband, watching the team’s ace surrounded by a group of girls. Compared with his solitary self, he couldn’t help the sadness from welling up.
“Alright, this old saying has no meaning.” Ye Zhou patted Xu Yangjun’s back and said, “It’s nothing. There will be girls who would discover the beauty of your soul.”
Xu Yangjun angrily said, “I want to take the idol route!”
“Come on, let’s go eat, starving to death.” Ye Zhou was just passing through today and, seeing the members drilling on the basketball court surrounded by a group of spectators, he also looked over. The result was that with this casual glance, he was affixed by Xu Yangjun, strongly insisting that Ye Zhou became his cheering squad.
Ye Zhou stared at him coldly and said, “What cheering squad do you need for ordinary practice?”
Xu Yangjun boldly and self-confidently said, “Other people all have one, only I don’t. It’s too shameful!”
Having a man become your cheerleader wasn’t all that much more glorious…
The two people packed up their things and were ready to leave, but in the end, the basketball coach stood in the middle of the court and roared, “Practicing like this, still want to rest?? Continue!”
The players looked at each other and the guys who’d already dressed immediately took off their coats and threw it to one side.
Ye Zhou sympathetically looked at the dejected Xu Yangjun and said, “Fighting, I’m going to go eat.”
“Zhou!”
Ye Zhou just walked two steps and was stopped by a voice from behind.
“Zhan Xing?” Ye Zhou had been avoiding contact with the people from 405 as much as possible because of Shang Jin.
“Can you help me bring my thermos back to the dorm?” Zhan Xing looked at the team feeling somewhat embarrassed. “I’m not sure when I’d be able to go.”
Ye Zhou understood clearly. If the student’s thermos bottle wasn’t promptly brought back to the dorm, it would be placed at the canteen door or next to the water room. If they came too late, there was a certain chance that it’d be taken away by others.
“No problem. Where did you put the thermos?”
“On the first step at the northern gate canteen, it’s the second one from the left. There’s a small turtle on the bottle with 405 written on it.”
With accurate directions, it shouldn’t be too difficult to find.
After Ye Zhou finished eating, he saw Zhan Xing’s water bottle at the canteen entrance, exactly the same as he’d described it.
He walked toward the dorm with the water bottle swaying. At the doorway, he meet Zhou Wendao returning from the library, and the two men chatted on the stairs.
When he reached the second floor, the water bottle in Ye Zhou’s hand shook slightly and he paused.
“What happened?”
Ye Zhou stared at the water bottle for a good while and said, “It’s nothing, maybe an illusion.”
Going up another floor and turning the corner to the third floor, Ye Zhou had just gone up two steps when the water bottle suddenly fell. The inner container fell out from the bottle and bang, the water splashed out in all directions. Ye Zhou had just felt that something was wrong and had been cautious in his heart. Now when this accident occurred, he immediately jumped toward the side. Who knew that the right foot didn’t land steadily and was firmly twisted, his knee directly falling on the step.
In an instant, Ye Zhou felt a burst of tearing pain.
The accident occurred in an instant. Zhou Wendao only had time to support Ye Zhou’s arm, but still wasn’t able to help him up. He saw Ye Zhou kneeling on the ground for half a day, then carefully asked, “Zhou, are you mourning the passing of the thermos bottle?”
The sweat on Ye Zhou’s forehead fell. His lips trembled as he said, “I’m mourning the passing of my health. Feels like my right foot is injured.”
“Fuck!” Zhou Wendao pulled Ye Zhou up like pulling radishes. He pulled on one side and shouted on the other, “You were scalded??”
I would rather be scalded…
Although it was not particularly cold at the beginning of autumn, but they usually wore trousers. The thermos bottle broke twenty centimeters from the ground, so splashing out, it’d at most scald the feet a bit. Separated by sneakers, it wouldn’t be scalded too seriously. But the sprain was different. Ye Zhou even suspected that his bones had been displaced.
Ye Zhou wiped the sweat and said, “Clean this up first.”
Zhou Wendao urgently said, “What cleaning! Go to the infirmary first!”
Ye Zhou really felt like his ankle was throbbing with a painful heat, and his knee wasn’t to be outdone: there was no need to see to know that there was definitely a large expanse of black. Ye Zhou also didn’t try to be brave and let Zhou Wendao lend him an arm to support him down the stairs. His free hand took out his phone from the pocket and made a phone call to Chen Shao in their dorm to let him help clean up the scene of the accident.
On the way to the infirmary, Ye Zhou deeply felt that this semester was really unlucky.
