After sending Ye Heng off, Ye Zhou returned home. Shang Jin was holding half a watermelon and digging into it with a spoon.

“It’s almost October and you’re still eating watermelon? Is it sweet?” He walked over and sat on the couch. “I thought that when my brother leaves, I should be relieved, but I didn’t expect to be a bit reluctant.”

Shang Jin dug a spoonful of watermelon and fed it to Ye Zhou. “I think your brother is pretty good.”

Ye Zhou went slowly over, took the watermelon from Shang Jin’s arms and agreed, “I also feel like that. How come I didn’t find it so before?”

“Anyway, he’s coming by the end of the year. After that, you both have time to get along.”

Ye Zhou bit the spoon and teasingly stared at Shang Jin, staring until Shang Jin became baffled.

“What are you doing?”

“I thought you’d be more petty.” After all, if his brother really came, his time with Shang Jin would certainly decrease.

Shang Jin was not worried about it at all. He leaned against the couch and played a mobile game. “What’s wrong with having one more person who loves you?”

He never thought Shang Jin would say such a thing.

Ye Zhou threw the watermelon aside and rolled over to sit on Shang Jin’s lap.

Shang Jin immediately tossed the game to the back of his mind and both his hands lingered on Ye Zhou’s waist. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing.” Ye Zhou leaned down and kissed Shang Jin’s forehead. “I feel that I like you, that’s all.”

Shang Jin pulled Ye Zhou closer and pressed a kiss on his mouth.

The next day in class, just when Ye Zhou entered the classroom he was pulled aside by Zhou Wendao.

“Did your brother leave?”

“Just left yesterday,” Ye Zhou asked, “What’s wrong?”

Zhou Wendao breathed a long sigh of relief and sad, “Your brother is too scary.”

“Really?” Ye Zhou didn’t think he was scary even when he wasn’t close to his brother before, and he wouldn’t feel like that now.

Zhou Wendao’s arms crossed his chest and he said complacently, “You should also thank me well.”

“Thank you for what?”

“If it weren’t for me being resourceful, not fearing death and taking your brother around the school to delay the time, I’m afraid your relationship with Shang Jin would have been discovered by your brother.”

Liu Yutian came from behind and coughed artificially, “Although it’s fashionable to do good things without leaving your name, you can’t forget the contributions I made the day before yesterday. At that time, I gave Shang Jin a call, how was my acting? I immediately pretended that I was talking to you, but your brother didn’t find out that I called Shang Jin’s phone to find you.”

Ye Zhou suddenly realized that as he’d said, maybe Ye Heng wouldn’t have guessed that Shang Jin lived with him just from the changes in the dorm. However, if Ye Heng knew that they’d called Shang Jin to find him, and moreover, everyone also tried to cover up the truth, then it was impossible to not suspect. He snorted and said through gritted teeth, “I really should thank you!”

“No need, no need. We definitely can’t do something like forcing you to repay the favor.” Zhou Wendao touched his forefingers bashfully together and whispered, “The school just recently started, so aren’t there a lot of freshman girls? I guess do you have any means to gather them…”

“Gather your sister!” Ye Zhou gripped Zhou Wendao’s shoulder heavily and said, “Thanks to you, my brother succeeded in seeing through my affair with Shang Jin and caught me by surprise.”

“Hehehehe no way, right…” Zhou Wendao gave a hollow laugh. Liu Yutian noticed that the situation wasn’t right and when Ye Zhou wasn’t looking, he slowly retreated backwards. The result was that Zhou Wendao was captured. “Brother, we share in the hardship together.”

Liu Yutian said guiltily, “Then you’d be okay.”

“Luckily, my brother is fair and reasonable. If it’s my parents, you wouldn’t even see my intact corpse now!”

Zhou Wendao earnestly sought advice. “If we meet your parents next time, what should we say?”

Ye Zhou smiled insincerely and said, “You want this kind of thing to happen a second time?”

“No, no, no, of course not.” Zhou Wendao hurriedly expressed his loyalty, “And I really did it with good intentions the day before yesterday. Who knew that your brother was so difficult to deal with. The trees and building in the school are almost all the same. I really don’t know how he saw that we passed by the same place twice when this was his first time here.”

Ye Zhou looked at Zhou Wendao like he was an idiot and said, “If Shang Jin came to the school for the first time and you took him around in a circle, do you think you can hide it from him?”

As someone who’d lived with Shang Jin for two years, Liu Yutian said very responsibly, “What kind of god is Shang Jin? How can he be fooled by me and other such ordinary folks.”

“My brother is similar to Shang Jin.” Thinking about it made his teeth ache. These first places all gathered around him. “Since young, there were only a handful of times when he didn’t get first place.”

“Why didn’t you tell us sooner!” Zhou Wendao shook Ye Zhou’s shoulders and said, “No wonder your brother looked at me with that look.”

Ye Zhou said with lingering fears, “Fortunately, this page has already been turned.”

Seeing that it wasn’t a big event, Zhou Wendao turned to gossip. “Since it’s all on the bright road, why don’t you both celebrate? It’s just the holidays tomorrow. Aren’t you going to go traveling or something?”

“Even if we travel, we wouldn’t do it during the Eleventh holiday. It’s so cramped and crowded; how’s that fun?” Fortunately, Ye Zhou and Shang Jin were very similar on this point, and the two people hadn’t come across a disagreement.

There were only two classes on Friday afternoon. After class, Shang Jin and Ye Zhou met an unexpected person on the way back to the dormitory.

“Ye Zhou, long time no see.”

Ye Zhou stepped back unconsciously, and his bike’s rear tire really kissed Shang Jin’s front tire.

Shang Jin looked at the somewhat familiar face and enigmatically said, “Face-con classmate, your most amiable face god appears before you. Aren’t you going to look twice?”

Ye Zhou awkwardly coughed and glared at Shang Jin. He pushed the bike and walked toward the person. “Tang Dongdong, are you looking for Su Yin?”

“Yeah, I’m going home with her. I didn’t expect to meet you.”

It hadn’t been a few months since they last met, but for Ye Zhou, it felt like a long time ago.

However, no matter what was said, Tang Dongdong was once his love at first sight, and now he was still standing beside his lover, Shang Jin. Ye Zhou had no intention to talk with Tang Dongdong. He used the excuse that they had something to do and soon left with Shang Jin.

All along the way, Shang Jin didn’t speak again.

“Tang Dongdong is already past history.” Ye Zhou pretended to accidentally bump Shang Jin with his shoulder and teased, “Don’t go over old accounts again.”

“No…” Shang Jin still couldn’t understand. “After seeing him in person, I’m more convinced that he’s an ordinary person who you could find any time on the road. How is he better than me?”

Ye Zhou flew into a rage of humiliation, “You dare to judge my aesthetic? I’m not done with you yet.”

Shang Jin shrugged and said, “I didn’t say anything.  It’s you who admit it.”

“You’re just…”

The words not yet finished, they were interrupted by Shang Jin’s phone ringing.

Shang Jin stared at the caller ID and didn’t answer. Ye Zhou looked curiously at the phone screen and saw the display: Liang Jingmin.

“This is…”

“My nominal mother.”

Ye Zhou didn’t speak again and sat on his bike seat, listening to Shang Jin’s conversation.

Liang Jingmin still asked to meet with Shang Jin. Unlike in the past, Shang Jin quickly agreed.

“But, I’m going to bring someone tomorrow.” Shang Jin looked at Ye Zhou.

Ye Zhou blinked at him and was dumbfounded for a moment, then pointed at himself in disbelief.

Shang Jin gave him a look that made him realize the answer himself.

Ye Zhou: “……”
