Yong Jegun watched Eungwang High from above.
The leaves shook violently with every sharp wind passing as the students exclaim that the weather was too chilly.
Thanks to his spatial skill though, not a single wind reached Yong Jegun.
The powerful spatial and flight skills being used at the same time didn’t affect Yong Jegun at all.
He narrowed his eyes and stared at the boundary of Eungwang High.
‘There’s nothing particularly noticeable. It’ll take several hours even if it’s a clan head who wants to break into Eungwang High.’
In light of last year’s incident, the Tiger Clan strengthened the boundary surrounding Eungwang High.
If there would be any breaking-in, it would only occur after the interview.
Yong Jegun was sure, but only after another round of patrol did he become completely confident.
Relieved, Yong Jegun decided to fly toward the faculty office.
‘Should I start going now?’
He wanted to take a peek at Eunho and his descendants’ interview, but Yong Jegun endured.
He was concerned about Eunho knowing that he brazenly calls Jo Euishin “hyung” even though he’s thousands of years older.
‘Maybe I could get a recording? No, there’s no way the Tiger Clan would hand over their former head’s high school interview video to me. Do I really have no choice but to peek?’
Unlike handwritten and practical skills that determine a student’s passing or failing, interviews are more relaxed both for the teacher and the examinees.
Interviewers sometimes prepare unexpected situations that intentionally distract the examinee to test their mental abilities.
Therefore, Yong Jegun thought that it wouldn’t matter if he tactlessly goes to see the interview.
Since he wouldn’t be traveling for more than a day, he contemplated stopping by to watch a student’s interview.
Eunho, who doesn’t feel very fond of Yong Jegun, might get offended, but it sounded like a lot of fun to Yong Jegun’s mind.
When he was leaning to finally watch Eunho’s interview...
“What are you doing there?”
He looked down and saw Kim Shinrok standing among the cedar trees.
His location was easily discovered because he usually bothers Kim Shinrok around this time.
Yong Jegun naturally smiled when he saw Kim Shinrok’s frowning face.
Maybe Kim Shinrok waited there until there were no people around.
‘He’s talking casually so there’s no one around.’
It was obvious why Kim Shinrok, who disliked talking to Yong Jegun at school, came to find him.
It wasn’t for a simple friendly chat.
‘It’s probably because of Eunho and the descendants.’
Indeed, like a friend for thousands of years, they seemed to have read each other’s thoughts.
Kim Shinrok immediately talked about Eunho’s interview.
“...You’re not going to his interview, are you?”
Kim Shinrok looked at Yong Jegun with suspecting eyes.
His assumption was right.
Yong Jegun was planning to go see Eunho just before he came, but he changed his mind.
He thought it would be more fun to tease Kim Shinrok by acting like he was about to go.
“I made up my mind that I’ll go. As expected, you know me so well, Shinrok-ie.”
“I knew it. I came to stop you.”
“Hahaha, I’ll endure it if you stop me, Shinrok-ie. What should I do though? I wonder how Eunho and his descendants’ interview would go.”
“What do you mean? I said don’t go.”
“What should we do about this?”
Kim Shinrok seemed to be doing his best to buy time by elongating the conversation, but Yong Jegun showed no signs of correcting him.
Persuasion wouldn’t work, so Kim Shinrok was technically holding onto Yong Jegun’s ankle.
Kim Shinrok seemed half satisfied with his strategy and half annoyed at Yong Jegun.
He truly wears his heart on his sleeve, making Yong Jegun burst into laughter.
Yong Jegun headed to the faculty office while Kim Shinrok followed him.
“You were using your spatial and flight skills all this time?”
I was expecting the contents of Yong Jegun’s message, but his words were so lighthearted that I doubted if I read it right.
His message sounds like he was simply headed to drinks after work.
He also mentioned the tiger that would accompany him.
[Yong Jegun] I’m going to the Dragon Palace with Jeokho-ssi.
Hwang Jiho’s invitation to the Dragon Palace which he won through our picnic contest seemed to have been transferred to Jeokho.
Other than that, the Tiger Clan still has permission from the Dragon Bird (yongsae).
This time though, only Jeokho was dispatched.
[Yong Jegun] Take good care of Shinrok-ie while Jeokho-ssi and I are gone.
[Yong Jegun] Bye. ^^
The title heroine Ahn Dain and her classmates take good care of Kim Shinrok so I guess I don’t have to do that.
The old man Hwang Jiho is very fond of Kim Shinrok too...
But of course, since my playable character asked, I’ll keep an eye on him.
“...”
The old man would’ve said some nonsense by now, but his expression looked complicated today.
Is it because Jeokho is away?
Or is it because Eunho and the descendants didn’t meet?
But somehow, my gut told me that wasn’t the case.
Before we got off the air shuttle, Hwang Jiho spoke to me.
“I hope you can help with the kids’ education too, Jo Euishin?”
Is he talking about the descendants?
I’m sure the kids passed safely and would get the best education from Eungwang High though.
I can only think of one reason why he’d bring it up.
“Did something happen at the interview?”
Hwang Jiho looked like he had a headache.
He showed a video.
It was the interview video of Eun Seoho and Eun Iho.
The interview was conducted in pairs, and they were put in the same group.
“I didn’t lay my hands on this. The interviewers assigned them to the same group to check because the self-introduction letter that they wrote has the same specialty.”
The descendants being grouped seemed to be the result of a fair process.
The screen showed Eun Seoho and Eun Iho smiling.
Their faces look so kind, what kind of help could I bring to their education?
Perhaps they made some strange remarks to enter Class Zero, but I hope they enjoyed it.
It was the interviewer who spoke first in the video.
— ...About what’s written in the specialty column. Can you explain it to me?
Eun Seoho and Eun Iho looked at each other and then at the interviewer.
I guess they can’t tell who would speak first.
— Anyone of you can answer. Just explain it clearly.
If the interviewer says so, that means the two are doing well.
If they were in the bottom 50, the pressure would’ve been through the roof when they showed hesitation.
— Alright, then I will demonstrate it myself!
When the interviewer was permitted to demonstrate, the two took something from their arms.
— Ah, wait, prepared items are... Oh?
A problem occurred.
In the video, the air around the place seemed to rumble.
Flustered, the interviewer tried to launch his energy waves but...
Kwang! Kwang!
The next second, the screen shook after a huge explosion.
