Selania had just dealt with Tier Tree Chaos Hearth as well as with its final monster, she possessed great strength because of many factors, but even so, she trembled with fear of Gael.
"I didn't think it would happen to you, but it turns out that you, like the others, are no exception. How are you any different from Chaos if you have sacrificed the inhabitants and lives of your allies for power? No... You're even worse..." Gael said calmly as if his every word were undeniable truth, then he looked at the moon.
"What kind of nonsense are you talking...?!" Selania exclaimed with a wave of her hand, "It may be cynical, but I'm fighting to keep Chaos from conquering this world! I'm doing my job!"
Gael exhaled cold steam as blue fire appeared in his eyes. At the same moment, azure energy began to emanate from his umbrella, forming blades along the edges.
"Fate is an entity, so for it, really doesn't matter how to expel Chaos, but we are human. Fate can give power, and it can change someone's destiny, but those with whom the world has been unjust will forever remain in the shadows. Fate will pay no attention to those who have fallen to the bottom, regardless of the factors." Gael said calmly, turning to Selania.
Crackle.
Selania prepared for battle as she clenched her sword tightly. She could not change Gael's mind, it was useless, so she had no other options.
"You want to fight? Well, I won't kill you. You're already corrupted by power, but you can still be useful." Gael uttered in a sharp tone as his silhouette blurred.
It took a moment for Gael to appear in front of Selania and swing his weapon. Selania quickly counterattacked, but there was no point since everything had already happened.
The sharp tip of the umbrella, like a spear, left a long scar on her neck, extending to her left cheek. The searing pain spread throughout Selania's body, but all her attention was focused on Gael.
Whooooooooooosh.
Gael extended his arm, knocking the sword out of Selania's hand, then he struck her throat with his palm, causing her to gasp.
"That's it. Even a little sorry I didn't deal with you right away, but I couldn't act without proof, could I?" Gael muttered, knocking the blood off his umbrella and directing his gaze to the knights.
A slight sadness appeared in Gael's eyes, "You can no longer be saved, however, you can still continue on your path. Unlike her, you actually deserve to be followers of the Fate."
From that moment on, the world began to blur as Zayne's mind returned to the real world. He was still holding Selania's hand, whose face was contorted in furious anger.
"Did you enjoy the view? Did you like being in my head?" Selania frowned, "Well, now we're tied up, so I can see your main nightmare too!"
Selania squeezed Zayne's hand tightly, and the world froze again, but now, the spectator was Selania.
"Hmm... What is this strange place...?" Selania muttered in confusion, looking around.
She was among the old houses, but they were nothing like those in her world. Moreover, there were shining towers in the distance, and horseless carriages drove along the roads. To a human being, all this was obvious, but not to Selania.
"Is this what the world of the Travelers looked like before it was destroyed?" Selania pondered with a dazed expression.
If she had the time she would have looked around curiously, but she had something more interesting to see.
Step. Step. Step.
A girl of about thirteen, with a happy smile on her face, stepped forward down the street. She had black hair and green eyes, and in her hand was a bag of groceries.
"How glad I am that my brother finally let me go to the store alone! Hehehe, even though I purposely chose a time when he would be busy, it doesn't matter." Mia giggled as she walked down the street lit by streetlights where many people were passing by.
Ding!
The girl's phone trembled, and a message appeared on the screen.
[I'll be home in thirty minutes! I'll try to be there as soon as possible!]
Mia smiled, then she flinched as she realized something.
"Damn... I won't have time to get home and make dinner..." Mia mumbled sadly, "I knew I shouldn't have watched one more episode... but this series is so interesting!"
Mia looked to her left, toward the dark streets where no one, not even an adult, would dare go. However, children didn't quite understand what fear was, curiosity and emotion were above it.
Mia smiled slyly as she touched her lips, "My brother told me not to even go near this place, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Well, if I disobey once, nothing bad will happen, right?"
Selania frowned, watching, "Hmm...? What the hell is this girl? Where is Zayne? Is that his sister...? They don't look much alike, though."
Selania expected to see a tragedy or something, for her, it was entertainment, but for Zayne, who was reliving these memories it was a real nightmare. He didn't want to remember the moment that changed his life forever, but now he would have to see every detail again.
...
Twenty minutes later, a young man with black hair and blue eyes returned home. He was breathing heavily because he was in a hurry.
"Mia, how are you?" Zayne said before going into the room, but there was no one there as well as in the whole house.

"Maybe she'll be back soon... but what if she decided to take a shortcut after my message...?" Zayne flinched as his eyes went wide, then he ran outside
